3 INTRODUCTION Customer Testimonial Pro extension helps your customer to write about your products, services, stores. It helps to increase your market values. Our Customer Testimonial Pro Extension provides view, submit testimonial, and provide configuration setting for show/hide customer details and options for better Look and Feel. Our Customer Testimonial Pro Extension send mail notification When new testimonial created and approved. Send mail notification to client and admin both when new testimonial is created. Send mail notification to client when testimonial is approved. FEATURES Display Testimonial using code in any pages in slider. Display All list of customer testimonial. Customer can submit testimonial. Send mail notification when testimonial created and approved. Send mail notification to client and admin when new testimonial is created. Send mail notification to client when testimonial is approved. Testimonial mail notification setting provided in backend testimonial configuration. Used Captcha code validation for submit testimonial form. Provide widget for display testimonial in slider. Support multi store configurable settings. Support Magento version: 1.5.x-1.9.x. 3

4 MANAGE TESTIMONIAL Go to Magebees Customer Testimonial Pro Manage Testimonial. Click on Add Testimonial button. You will get following screen. 4

5 General Information: o Client Name: Specify name of client. o Client Specify client address. o Company Name: Specify name of client company. o Company Website: Specify company website URL. o Client Address: Specify client address. o Upload Video Testimonial: You can choose yes for add youtube URL video testimonial. If you choose yes then display input textbox for enter youtube vide URL. o Testimonial Content: Specify the testimonial content. 5

6 o Status: You can set testimonial status Pending/Approved/Not Approved. o Store View: Select store view that you want to display testimonial. o Display In Widget: Select Yes for testimonial display in widget. o Display In Home: Select yes for display testimonial in home page. o Rating : You can set testimonial Rating. o Upload Profile Image: You can select profile image of customer/client. 6

7 TESTIMONIAL CONFIGURATION Go to System Configuration MAGEBEES Customer Testimonial Pro. OR Go to MageBees Customer Testimonial Pro Configuration. Code Tab: XML Tag Representation: You can add xml code in for display testimonial in layout file. o Suppose you want to use XML Tag auto generated code for display testimonial slider then copy XML Tag and put it in your Theme XML layout Files [app/design/frontend/<your package>/<your theme>/layout/]. For Example: I want display testimonial in Catalog search result page using layout file. Then open your catalogsearch theme layout file [app/design/frontend/<your package>/<your theme>/layout/]. Open catalogsearch.xml file and put following code. <reference name="content"> <block type="testimonial/testimonial" name="testimonial"/> </reference> 7

8 You can define reference name which you want to display testimonial. Template Tag Representation: You can use this block code for display testimonial in CMS pages. o {{block type="testimonial/testimonial" name="testimonial"}} For Example : I want display testimonial slider in Home Page CMS pages then Go to admin CMS Pages and Edit Home Page and open Content tab put following code in editor and put this block code for testimonial Call Via Frontend Template File: You can use this code in any phtml file for display testimonial slider. o If you want to display testimonial slider in your template file [.phtml] you need to just paste this at any part of your template files. <?php echo $this->getlayout()->createblock("testimonial/testimonial")->tohtml();?> 8

9 For Example: If you want to display testimonial slider in catalog search result phtml template file then add this template code in result.phtml file. 9

10 General Tab: Enable: You can able to enable or disable this module from choosing Yes/No. Include JQuery: You can able to include jquery from choosing Yes/No. Enabled TopLink : You can able to enabled or disabled toplink of customer testimonial from choosing Yes/No. Display Notification List Layout: You can set all customer testimonial list layout display in fronted.you can set 1 column, 2 column left, 2 column right and 3 column layout. 10

11 Testimonial Setting Tab: Title of List of Testimonial: You can add your own list of testimonial title. Title of Testimonial Form: You can add your own testimonial form title. URL Key: You can add your own url key for router. Select Required Field in Testimonial Form: Here, You can set add testimonial form required fields. Name, ,Testimonial Content field are required, You can not change from here. Enabled Captcha: You can add submit testimonial form captcha validation using choosing Yes/No. 11

12 Title of Slider: You can add your own testimonial slider title. Display Minimum Number of Testimonial Words: Display minimum number of testimonial content (0 for display full length of testimonial content).this feature worked only in testimonial slider page. Display Youtube Video: Choose yes for display youtube testimonial in frontend. Auto Play Youtube Video : Choose yes for display autoplay youtube video in frontend. Display Profile Image : Choose yes for display customer profile photo in frontend. Profile Image Width : Allow profile image width (it set in pixel).images resized according to width. Profile Image Height : Allow profile image height (it set in pixel). Images resized according to width. Display Company Name: Choose yes for display company name in frontend. Link Website Url : Choose yes for link company name to website URL. Display Rating : Choose yes for display testimonial rating in testimonial list page. Display You can set show/hide of customer using choose yes/no. Display Address: You can set show/hide address of customer using choose yes/no. 12

13 Display Created DateTime: You can set display testimonial created datetime in testimonial list page. Select Slider Style : You can set testimonial slider mode (Fade/Horizontal/Vertical ). Auto play Slider: You can set auto-play slider of testimonial. Slider Speed: You can set your testimonial slider speed. Add value in milliseconds (default: 5000) for set slider speed. Display Pagination: Select yes for display bullet (dots) pagination in testimonial slider. Display Arrow: Select yes for display arrow in testimonial slider. 13

14 Administrator Mail Notification Settings Tab: Enable Sending Mail to Admin After Posting Testimonial: Choose yes for sending mail to admin after posting new testimonial. Mail Send to: You can select admin mail address for sending . o Select Default General Contant: For send mail to default admin contant . o Select Add new mail for admin: Enter admin custom address. Template : Select template for admin mail. Subject : Enter subject for posting new testimonial notification to the admin. 14

15 Client Mail Notification Settings Tab: Enable Sending Mail to Client After Post/Approve Testimonial: Choose yes for sending mail to client after posting new testimonial and approved testimonial. Template for Testimonial : Select template for client. Subject for Post Testimonial: Enter subject of mail when post testimonial. Subject for Approve Testimonial: Enter subject for approved client testimonial. 15

16 CREATE CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL WIDGET Go to admin CMS Widgets. You will get the following screen. Select MageBees: Testimonial Widget from Type and your Design package theme. Fill all required fields and select layout for display on specific page. 16

22 FAQ Q-1: I configure Customer Testimonial Pro Extension. But when I click on MageBees Customer Testimonial Pro Configuration page will get a 404. :(. After installing Extension logout from admin account and Re-login and Refresh Cache.. Q-2: CONNECT ERROR: Failed to open file Error when install extension using magento connect. If you face connect error failed to open file when install extension then follow this steps. Go To - [magento_root_directory]/downloader\lib\mage\archive\tar.php Then find the near code line no 563: if (!($header['name'] == '././@LongLink' && $header['type'] == 'L')) { $header['name'] = trim($header['name']); return $header; } And replace it with: if (!(trim($header['name']) == '././@LongLink' && $header['type'] == 'L')) { $header['name'] = trim($header['name']); return $header; } Q-3: I applied the 6788 patch on my magento setup testimonial block doesn t show up. Go To Admin => System => Permission Block Click on Add New Block and fill detail as follow: Block Name => testimonial/testimonial. Is Allowed => Yes Save Block 22
