1 SOLUTIONS GUIDE I Don t Know What to or How to Write My , Can I Have Some Ideas?

2 We often hear from new students that one of their biggest challenges creating content for campaigns. Not everyone is born with Mark Twain story writing skills or with the ability to compose works of art like Shakespeare. But even those with limited experience can learn how to develop and create interesting copy that converts. Follow these basic concepts and learn how to use some fundamental guidelines to generate a winning campaign. Typically, there are three types of s you will be composing. 3 Types of s 1. Content 2. Story Based 3. Promotion If you focus on your main topic and the style in which you choose to present it, your message will get through to the reader. Content s Basic Guideline Send s that pre-sell the product you re promoting. Send related information that helps them. Example 1 If the offer s solution is using smoothies to reduce belly fat, you talk about the benefits of using smoothies to burn fat. Page 2

3 Example 2 If you re going to promote an autoresponder service to businesses or other marketers, then you pre-sell them by telling them about the benefits of using an autoresponder; how it will automate their business, save them time, save money by using an autoresponder vs. a sales person, etc (via your affiliate link)! Where to Get This Info? The offer s Affiliate Tools page or Sales Page! (Demo) (Demo) The Key Balance content with promotional so your subscribers feel they re receiving value from being subscribed to you. Content Generators Where to Get Ideas Find Out What the Hot/Trending Topics Are in Your Niche. Here are some sources Forums BuzzSumo.com* (for top content topics online). Page 3

4 *Instructions on using BuzzSumo were in the Research training on the pre-workshop page: Search YouTube Check Amazon (search best seller kindle books). Subscribe to Other (in your niche). What Are They Talking About? Search Google with keywords like: (Niche) + newsletter (Niche) + opt-in (Niche) + subscribe Search for Blogs in your niche. They usually have opt-in forms on their site! (put niche keyword into search field and Search sites and blogs) Go to Affiliate Marketplaces like ClickBank. Find related products and visit their sales pages. Many will display an opt-in page to visitors who leave without buying. Outside the Box Ideas From time to time, send content that isn t about an offer, but just content for the purpose of giving content, building trust, and/or getting them to engage with you X Tips to Do Something For example, 15 Tips for Cooking a Better Pot Roast. What did you learn? Try to make it emotional, which is far more engaging. Breaking News If you know news is coming, try to be there for it. For example, go to where new products are being announced and write about it immediately. Instant Help Something simple they can do right away. For example, an easy 10-minute workout they can perform immediately... A Video Give people high quality video content. Use a video metrics tool like Wistia t measure your drop-off rates see what kinds of video content people like. Share a Victory For example, How I Earned $5,602 This Weekend. 6 Give Them Something They Can Model/Copy to Get Results For example, My exact 3 step formula for getting seats in my seminars. Address Common Question or Objection For example, How to Compete Against High Speed Traders Without Million Dollar Equipment. Give Away a Coupon People love getting discounts! Rant! Just say what s on your mind. This often turns out better than you think. Interview Someone Interview an expert. Send it out to your list for free. F.A.Q. Answer the most frequently asked questions you get. *This is a great to add to an autoresponder sequence. Motivation Send a motivational . Instead of how-to content, have an just dedicated to getting people fired up and motivated. Story Based s Benefits Storybased s encourage engagement. These s will get read more often than any other. 10 How Many? Most offers are going to be low-ticket ($27-99) so a good rule-of-thumb is to send 3 s for each offer you promote. What About Mid & High Ticket? Mid and High-Ticket items are few in most niches. You ll only promote these a few times per year. Promo Subject Lines Creating a compelling subject line for your s is obviously extremely important. If no one opens your s, then it will be impossible to sell them anything. So it s crucial that we monitor the open rates of our s and make changes if we fall below a 10% rate. In general, there are 3 different types of subject lines we model. 3 Types of Subject Lines for Promotional s 1. Curiosity Example: The scale said WHAT? Example: Wouldn t even look at me - Until.. Example: The Second-Date Secret 2. Benefit Example: How to improve you golf swing Example: Dress to impress Example: Finally wear your skinny jeans again Use specifics when possible to get more opens Page 10
