3 3 Step 1: Register for an account Go to apioperatortraining.com and click on Register to create an account on our site. Figure A: API Operator Training homepage

4 4 Choose your company name from the drop down list. Some companies have a separate listing for each location, so be sure to choose the company name for your specific location. If you are not sure which company name to choose, simply ask the person at your company who created the company account. If your company is not listed, you may add it by clicking on Click here to add a company to the list. Enter the requested information into each field. Fields marked with a * are required. Fields such as Last 4 Digits of Social Security No. are optional unless required by your particular state. If possible, please enter an address which you have access to and check regularly as much of our communication, such as confirmation and reminder messages, will be ed to that address. 7 7 Step 2: Order a single Training and Examination Program After you have accepted the Terms and Conditions above, you will be brought to the Available Courses page. You will start at this page every time you log into your account. Click on the Enter button under Operator Training and Examination Program. Figure E: Programs available to order

8 8 Select the State and Operator Type from the drop down menus. As an example, District of Columbia has been selected for the State and A+B has been selected for the Operator Type. But select the State and Operator Type for the program you need. Figure F: State and Operator Type options Once you have made your selections, click on the Continue button.

9 9 The Training and/or Exam options available are determined by each state. If the boxes are greyed out, you cannot change the options. If one or both of the options are blank, you may select the option(s) you wish to order. Figure G: Items available for purchase Once you have made your selection(s), click on the Add to Basket button. Click on OK to confirm your selection(s). Figure H: Item choice confirmation

10 10 The contents of your Shopping Basket are displayed. If you wish to pay now, click on Proceed to Checkout. If you would like to order another program, click on Continue Shopping. Figure I: Shopping Basket

11 11 Step 3: Add additional Training and Evaluation Program(s) (If you don t wish to order an additional program, skip to Step 4) Repeat the same steps to add additional programs to your Shopping Basket. 12 12 Step 4: Apply a Promotional Code to your order (If you don t have a Promotional Code, skip to Step 5) Enter your Promotional Code and click the Apply button. Figure L: Entering Promotional Code If your Promotional Code was successfully applied, you will see the message Promotional code applied and the Purchase cost will reflect the discount. 13 13 Step 5: Pay using a Company Token (If you don t have a Company Token, skip to Step 6) Enter your Company Token and click the Make Payment button. Figure N: Entering a Company Token as Payment

14 14 Step 6: Pay by Credit Card Enter your credit card information, ensuring that the card and billing information is correct. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. We are not able to accept the Discover Card at this time. When finished, click on the Make Payment button. Figure O: Entering Credit Card information as Payment

15 15 If your transaction is successful, you will see this message. To begin your program, click on the Continue button. Figure P: Payment Successful confirmation message An will be sent confirming your order. Please note that access to our programs expires 30 days after purchase. Figure Q: Order Confirmation If you ever need a copy of your receipt, you can access it 24/7 directly through your account. Simply log into your account and click on My Account then View my orders and click on the order number in red. The receipt will open in a new window. You can print directly from that window or copy and paste it into a document like an .

16 16 Step 7: Accessing your Training and Exam Program(s) Clicking on the Continue button above will bring you to this page. You will start at this page every time you log into your account. Under Active Courses (Purchased) you will see all active programs purchased. Click on the name of a program to begin your training. Figure R: Available Programs purchased You can order additional programs, or reorder a previously ordered program, at any time by starting with Step 2 above.

17 17 Step 8: Your training and exam program Clicking on the name of your program above will bring you to your Program Modules page. Please note that access to our programs expires 30 days after purchase. To download the Course Handbook, click on Click here to Download the course handbook and save the file to your computer. All videos, quizzes and the exam for your program are accessed through this page. Please note that the training videos open in a new window. If you click on Begin Training and nothing happens, your pop up blocker is preventing our videos from displaying. Simply adjust your pop up blocker settings to always allow pop ups from our website. 18 18 Step 9: Print your Certificate upon successful completion of your program Upon successful completion of your program, you will see a message similar to this. Your certificate will be displayed after you agree to the Terms and Conditions by clicking on the button. Figure T: Passed Exam message Congratulations, you ve earned your certificate! Figure U: Example of Certificate If for any reason you are unable to print your certificate at this time, you can access it 24/7 directly through your account. Simply log into your account and at the top of the page is a box that says Your Certificates. Click on the name of your certificate in red and it will open in a new widow. You can print directly from that window or copy and paste it into a document like an .
