1 TWU Connect Job Posting Guide We ve already created your department company in TWU Connect (Handshake) system (look for TWU your department name ). Once you register within the Handshake system, you ll be able to post your departmental, on-campus jobs and collect resumes from student candidates. There are 2 quick and easy steps even though this guide is lengthy we ve added step-by-step screen shots to help you navigate. 1. Register within the Handshake system *NOTE you will only need to go through this process once! a. Go to twu.joinhandshake.com/register b. Click Employer c. Complete the registration form, and Click SIGN UP T WU Career Connections Center July 2017 Page 1 12
2 d. You ll then be asked for more information about the types of students you wish to recruit. Please choose all that apply. Your alma mater information is optional, however, selecting TWU (even if it s not) will make the most relevant match between you and our students. Then Click Employer Guidelines. e. Please read and Click NO for 3 rd party recruiter, then Click Next: Confirm T WU Career Connections Center July 2017 Page 2 12
3 f. Please check your for your Confirm message from Handshake. g. You ll receive the following . Please Click Confirm h. You ll be brought back to Handshake to join your company (TWU Department Name). Click Request T WU Career Connections Center July 2017 Page 3 12
4 i. Then Click Next: Connect with Schools j. Type in Texas Woman s University. k. Then Click + button. And then Click Next: Finish. T WU Career Connections Center July 2017 Page 4 12
5 l. Your request has been sent to the Career Connections Center team to approve. Please to tell us you ve registered so we can expedite your account approval. You ll receive an from us to confirm your registration. You ll then be all set to post your department job opportunities. See guide below. 2. Post a Job a. Once your registration is complete and approved (you ll get a confirmation from us), you re able post/edit jobs and collect applications. Log-in and Click Post a Job from your home (landing page) dashboard. T WU Career Connections Center July 2017 Page 5 12
6 b. Complete the 3 job posting information pages, beginning with the Job Title. c. Click Next at bottom right to move to the next page. No need to add an Applicant Tracking System/Job Code. No company division to choose. Normally, you won t choose yes to require applying through an external website or ATS, but if you have Additional Application Instructions, Click Yes for the option to open this window, where you can add text, images, links, or a direct external URL. 7 d. You can create your job description in a word document and then cut and paste into the description area the system will keep your formatting, or you can type directly within the text box using the formatting options available. T WU Career Connections Center July 2017 Page 7 12

9 You re able to choose class status or graduation date ranges. We hope you ll consider checking all school years so your opportunity is inclusive of all students. Each large major group also has a number of more individual majors listed, allowing you make more specific choices for your candidate requirements, if you wish. 10 You can also review your applicants any time after creating your job see below. e. Click on Texas Woman s University (only). Ignore the global apply start and end date, as that function is used by large external employers that post to numerous schools with different time zones in the Handshake system. f. Choose your application timeline a start and end date. The calendar icon will ask for a date, as well as hour and minute (picky!) Then Click Create at bottom of page. 11 g. You ll be brought to your Job Details screen and your job will be added to your home dashboard under Jobs (see last screen shot below). You can always get back to this detailed view of your job postings by clicking on any of your jobs on your home dashboard, where you can review applicants, edit, expire, and duplicate your job at any time. Notice you ll see your job posting status in the upper right corner. We pay close attention to on-campus job postings and approve asap! Once a job is created, you can go to the bottom of the page and add attachment if you wish. T WU Career Connections Center July 2017 Page 11 12
