7 Managing Yur User Accunt Changing yur Passwrd Hw t update the passwrd assciated with yur user prfile. 1. Lgin t the site. 2. Click n yur [Display Name] link (typically lcated in the tp right crner f the site. This displays the user prfile page. 3. Click the Edit Prfile link. This displays the Manage Prfile page. 4. Click the Manage Passwrd link. 5. In the Change Passwrd sectin, update the fllwing fields: a. In the Current Passwrd text bx, enter yur current passwrd. b. In the New Passwrd text bx, enter yur new passwrd. c. In the Cnfirm Passwrd text bx, re-enter yur new passwrd. 6. Click the Change Passwrd link.

8 Managing yur Prfile Pht Hw t manage the pht assciated with yur user prfile. 1. G t the Manage Prfile page f the View Prfile (als titled My Prfile) mdule. See "Managing yur User Prfile" 2. G t the Pht field and select frm these ptins: Uplading a New Image 1. Click the Uplad File link. 2. Click the Brwse... buttn and select the file frm yur cmputer. 3. Click the Save File link t save the selected file. 4. This displays the selected image. 5. Click the Update link. Selecting a Previusly Upladed Image 1. At File, select the required pht frm the drp-dwn list. This displays the image t the right f this field.

9 Remving Images frm Prfile 1. At File, select <Nne Specified>. Managing yur User Credentials Hw t manage yur user credentials including yur names and address. Nte: Yur user name cannt be changed. Mandatry fields are indicated by the Required buttn. 1. Lgin t the site. 2. Click n yur [Display Name] link (typically lcated in the tp right crner f the site). 3. Click the Edit Prfile link. 10 Managing yur User Credentials Managing yur User Prfile Hw t manage all yur persnal user details including yur name, cntact details, bigraphy, pht, time zne and preferred lcale. The fields used in this example are typical fr a US based site, hwever sites in ther cuntries will typically use lcal names fr address fields, etc. Yu can als set the visibility f each field. Public sets a field as visible t anyne wh is able t view yur user prfile, Members Only sets a field as visible t authenticated site members, Admin Only sets a field as visible t Administratrs nly. Mandatry fields are indicated by the Required buttn. 1. Lgin t the site. 2. Click n yur [Display Name] link (typically lcated in the tp right crner f the site). 3. Click the Edit Prfile link. 4. 12 Abut the Site Settings Page The Site Settings page enables Administratrs t cnfigure basic and advanced site settings. Setting the site title Hw t set the site title which is displayed in the title bar f the Web brwser. 1. Navigate t Admin > Site Settings. 2. G t the Basic Settings - Site Details sectin.

13 3. In the Title text bx, enter a title fr the site. 4. Click the Update link. The Site Title Setting the site descriptin Hw t set the descriptin used by search engines t index this site. 1. Navigate t Admin > Site Settings. 2. G t the Basic Settings - Site Details sectin. 3. In the Descriptin text bx, enter a descriptin fr this site. 4. Click the Update link. Adding the site keywrds Hw t add keywrds that are used by search engines t index this site. 1. Navigate t Admin > Site Settings. 2. G t the Basic Settings - Site Details sectin. 3. In the Keywrds text bx, enter ne r mre keywrds that are cmmn and unique t yur site, separated by cmmas. E.g. pets,pet prducts,pet beds,dg fd,dg beds.

14 4. Click the Update link. Displaying the default site Cpyright Hw t set the cpyright ntice fr the site t autmatically display the current year and the site title. NOTE: If the title f yur site is My Web site, leave the field blank t display Cpyright (c) 2011 My Web site. If the Title field is blank, the cpyright ntice will instead display the text Cpyright (c) Navigate t Admin > Site Settings. 2. G t the Basic Settings - Site Details sectin. 3. In the Cpyright text bx, leave the field blank. 4. Click the Update link. Creating a unique Cpyright 1. Navigate t Admin > Site Settings. 2. G t the Basic Settings - Site Details sectin. 3. In the Cpyright text bx, enter yur unique cpyright text. 4. Click the Update link. Marketing Submitting yur Site t Search Engines

15 Hw t submit the site t ne r mre search engines fr indexing. This will add the site t the search engine's list f sites t be indexed. 1. Navigate t Admin > Site Settings. 2. G t the Basic Settings - Site Details sectin and ensure the Title, Descriptin and Keywrds fields are cmplete. 3. G t the Basic Settings - Marketing sectin. 4. At Search Engine, select either the Ggle, Yah r Micrsft search engines. 5. Click the Submit link. 6. Repeat Steps 4-5 t submit yur site t ne r bth f the ther search engines. Tip: Administratrs can als add a title, descriptin and keywrds t each site page. The quality f this infrmatin will affect yur ranking n search engines, therefre it is recmmended that these fields are cmpleted fr all pages befre submitting the site. Submitting yur Site Map URL t Ggle Hw t submit a site map URL f yur site t Ggle fr imprved search ptimizatin. 1. Navigate t Admin > Site Settings. 2. G t the Basic Settings - Site Details sectin and ensure the Title, Descriptin and Keywrds fields are cmplete. 3. G t the Basic Settings - Site Marketing sectin. 4. At Site Map URL, click the Submit link. This pens the Ggle Webmaster Tls web page in a new Web brwser. 5. On Ggle Webmaster Tls: a. If yu d nt have a Ggle Accunt, sign up fr ne. b. Sign in t Ggle Webmaster Tls with yur Ggle accunt. c. G t the Dashbard. d. In the Add Site text bx, enter the URL f yur site. E.g. e. Click the OK buttn t cnfirm. f. Click the Verify link.

16 g. Select Uplad an HTML file. This will display a unique file name. Cpy this name. 6. Return t yur Site Settings page: a. In the Verificatin text bx, enter the file name. b. Click the Create link. 7. Return t Ggle Webmaster Tls: a. Click the Verified buttn. b. On the Ggle Sitemaps tab, select Add General Web Sitemap. c. Cpy and paste the URL displayed int the Site Map URL text bx n yur Site Setting page. Submitting yur Site Map URL t Ggle Setting Yur Site Lg The site lg is generally displayed in the tp sectin f yur web site. Size f the lg is ttally dependent upn the skin design being used s yu shuld check with us fr crrect dimensins befre uplading a new lg. 1. Navigate t Admin > Site Settings. 2. G t the Basic Settings sectin. 3. Maximize the Appearance sectin. 4. At Lg, select an existing image file - OR - Uplad a new image file. 5. Click the Update link.

17 Setting the Favrites Icn Hw t set the favicn fr yur site. A favicn (shrt fr favrites icn) is an icn file, mst cmmnly 16x16 pixels, assciated with a particular web site. Brwsers that supprt favicns typically display a site's favicn in the brwser's address bar and next t the site's name in a list f bkmarks. Brwsers that supprt a tabbed dcument interface typically shw a site's favicn next t the site's title n the tab, and site-specific brwsers use the favicn as desktp icn. The favicn is an imprtant aspect f a site's brand. NOTE: the icn MUST be an.ic file frmat! 1. Navigate t Admin > Site Settings. 2. G t Basic Settings and Maximize the Appearance sectin. 3. At Favicn.ic, select frm these ptins: 4. T select an existing file: Select the Flder where the file resides and then selecting the required file frm the File drp dwn list. 5. T uplad a new file: Click the Uplad File link and then click the Brwse... buttn and select the file frm yur cmputer. Click the Save File link. The upladed file will be selected autmatically. Yu can create yur favicn fr free here: (r any ther free icn creatr site that yu may find) INSTRUCTIONS (fr 1. Click n Imprt Image 2. Select yur image and uplad it 3. Dwnlad it (belw the Preview sectin) 4. Be sure that it is named favicn.ic 5. Uplad it (see step 5 directly abve) Nw access yur site in a brwser t see yur fav icn (nte: Internet Explrer can be a bit stubbrn due t caching, yu will mst likely have t clear yur brwser's cache and/r refresh several times befre it displays t yu. In ther brwsers, such as Firefx r Chrme, it usually appears immediately)

18 TIP: best practice is t use an image that is in the shape f a square. The favicn creatr at the abve link allws yu t chse frm 2 ptins, usually selecting 'Keep Dimensins' prvides best results but depending upn the shape f yur image, the secnd ptin may be better in yur case. Experiment with it t see which type gives yu the best results. Managing Yur Web Pages This sectin prvides infrmatin n viewing, adding and managing pages. Viewing Any Page Hw t view any page within a site, including thse which are nt included in the menu. Optin One: If the page is visible (included) in the menu, then navigate t the page using the site navigatin menu. Optin Tw: If the page is hidden (nt included in the menu), yu can create a link t the hidden page using a mdule t access it. NOTE: Administratrs can view all hidden pages in the Admin >Pages sectin. Adding A New Page Hw t add a new page t yur site using the Cntrl Panel. View f the Cntrl Panel (abve image), lcated at the tp f each web page within yur site viewable nly by Administratrs and any users with Edit Page permissins. Else the view is limited t View/Edit mde (belw image) 1. Click n the HOME page link in the navigatin menu. 2. On the Cntrl Panel, click n the Add buttn. 3. Yu will nw be redirected t the Page Details sectin. 4. In the Page Name text bx, enter a name fr the page. This is the name which appears in the menu. Nte: the Page Name can be changed at any time after its creatin 5. In the Page Title text bx, enter a shrt, descriptive sentence summarizing the page cntent. The title is used by search engines t identify the infrmatin cntained n the

19 page. It is recmmended that the title cntains at least 5 highly descriptive wrds and des nt exceed 200 characters. 6. In the Descriptin text bx, enter a descriptin f the page cntent. The descriptin is used by search engines t identify the infrmatin cntained n the page. It is recmmended that the descriptin cntains at least 5 wrds and des nt exceed 1000 characters. 7. In the Keywrds text bx, enter key wrds fr this page separated by cmma. 8. At Parent Page, select <Nne Specified> t set this page as a parent page - OR if it will be a child page, select the intended parent page frm the drp-dwn bx. 8a. At Insert Page, select frm these ptins t chse the lcatin f the new page in the menu: Select a page frm the drp-dwn bx and then select t add the new page either Befre r After that page in the menu n the current level. Select Add t End t add the new page t the end f the menu n the current level. 9. At Include In Menu?, check the check bx t include this page in the navigatin menu- OR - Uncheck the check bx t hide the page. If a page is nt included in the menu (hidden), yu can still link t it based n its page URL. 10. Access the Permissins sectin. IMPORTANT! If yu give EDIT PAGE permissins t any rle ther than the Administratrs rle, the users in that rle will be able t add, mdify r delete the page, as well as add, mdify r delete mdules n the page. It is best practice t apply editing permissins at the Mdule level, nt the Page level. 11. OPTIONAL. Cpy Page (this functin is nly available at time f new page creatin) a. At Cpy Frm Page, select the page t be cpied. b. At Specify Mdules, cmplete the fllwing steps fr each mdule:

20 c. T cpy a mdule: i. In the mdule title text bx, enter a new mdule title if required. ii. Select ne f the fllwing ptins: d. T NOT cpy a mdule: 1. New: This will add the mdule withut any cntent. 2. Cpy: This will add the mdule with an independent cpy f the mdule cntent. Mdifying cpied cntent desn't update the cntent f the riginal mdule. Nte: This ptin will be disabled fr mdules which dn't have cntent which can be cpied such as the Feedback and Accunt Lgin mdules. 3. Reference: This will add the mdule with a referenced versin f the cpied cntent. Mdifying referenced cntent updates bth cpies f the mdule. i. Uncheck the check bx beside any mdule yu d NOT want cpy. 12. Access the Advanced Settings sectin. 13. In the Appearance sectin, cmplete any f the fllwing ptinal settings: a. At Page Skin, select a skin frm the drp dwn list. If <Nne Specified> is selected, the default Web site Skin is used. b. At Page Cntainer, select a cntainer frm the drp dwn list. If < Nne Specified > is selected, the default Web site Cntainer is used. c. At Disabled, select frm these ptins: Check the check bx if the page will nt cntain any cntent, but rather serve as a placehlder. i.e. When yu click n the page name in the menu nthing happens. This ptin is typically selected fr a parent page t prvide a way fr users t navigate t its child pages.

21 Unchecked the check bx fr this page name t be a link t the page. This is the default ptin. 14. In the Other Settings, the fllwing OPTIONAL settings are available: a. At Secure? check the check bx t frce this page t use a secure cnnectin r secure scket layer (SSL). This ptin requires the Hsting Administratr t cnfigure the SSL Settings n the Admin > Site Settings page. b. At Site Map Pririty, enter the desired pririty (between 0 and 1.0). This helps determine hw this page is ranked in Ggle with respect t ther pages n yur site (0.5 is the default). c. At Start Date, click the Calendar link and select the first date the page is viewable. Bug: A knwn bug prevents Administratrs frm viewing a page with a start date befre it ges live. As a wrkarund, cnsider setting the start date after adding cntent t the page. d. At End Date, click the Calendar link and select the last date the page is viewable. Nte: Expired pages can be viewed by Administratrs via the Admin > Pages page. e. At Link URL, t set this page t be a navigatin link t anther resurce, select r add the Link here. 15. Click the Update link. Mving A Page Hw t mve a page t a new lcatin n the site menu. NOTE: d nt attempt t mve the HOME page frm its current lcatin! 1. G t the required page. 2. Maximize the Cntrl Panel. 3. Select the Settings buttn. 4. G t the Page Details sectin. 5. At the Parent Page drp-dwn, select a new parent page, r select <Nne Specified> t change this page t be a parent page (if currently a child page). 6. Click the Update link

22 Cpying a Page See step #14 abve in the Add A New Page sectin Deleting a Page Hw t delete a page frm a site. NOTE: the Hme page cannt be deleted. The last visible page can als nt be deleted. Tip: Deleted pages (and Mdules) are stred in the Recycle Bin where they can be restred r permanently deleted by Administratrs. 1. G t the required page. 2. Maximize the Cntrl Panel. 4. Select the Delete buttn. 5. This displays the message "Are yu sure yu want t delete this page?" 6. Click the OK buttn t cnfirm Edit an existing Page 1. G t the required page. 2. Maximize the Cntrl Panel. 3. Select the Settings buttn. 4. G t the Page Details sectin. 5. Edit any page settings as necessary. 6. Click the Update link Abut Page Permissins Hw t set access t view, edit and manage pages and page cntent setting permissins by rles and/r usernames. This tutrial prvides an verview f the different page permissins available. Fr full details See "Setting Page Permissins" belw.

23 View Page: View permissins enable rle users t view the page. The All Users rle represents everyne (general public), and this rle is usually nt checked until a page is cmplete and ready fr viewing. Edit Page: Edit permissins give users full administrative rights fr the page. Tip: if user will nt be an Administratr it is best practice t set the edit permissins at the mdule level, nt the page level. Setting Page Permissins Hw t set page permissins by rles and/r username. Nte: Access t view and set page permissins are nly available t Administratrs and any users that Administratrs specify t have Edit permissins fr the page. It is best practice t keep Administratrs as the ONLY users with Page Edit permissins. 1. G t the required page. 2. Maximize the Cntrl Panel. 3. Select the Edit buttn. 4. G t the Permissins sectin. 5. In the View Page clumn, click n the check bx beside a user rle (r user) repeatedly until the crrect permissin is displayed. Permissin Granted: Permissin t view the page is granted. Permissin Denied: Permissin t view the page is denied. Nt Specified: Permissins are nt specified. Users cannt view the page unless they belng t anther rle/username which has been granted permissin, r are granted Edit Page permissins. 6. In the Edit Page clumn, select frm these ptins: Permissin Granted: Users with Edit Page permissins have full administrative rights fr the page. Tip: It is best practice t keep Administratrs as the ONLY users with Edit Page permissins.

24 Permissin Denied: Permissin t edit the page is denied. Nt Specified: Permissins are nt specified. 7. OPTIONAL. Define an existing Username (a registered user f yur site). This may be useful when yu nly want ne (r mre) certain individuals t have view/edit access and nt the entire list f users in a particular rle. Click n the ADD buttn after entering a Username. 8. Click the Update link Managing Yur Security Rles Abut the Security Rles Mdule The Security Rles mdule enables the creatin and management f security rles and security rle grups. It als permits Administratrs t manage users within rles. Default Security Rles The Security Rles mdule has three (3) default Security Rles: Administratrs, Registered Users and Subscribers. Administratrs: fr Wyse Slutins persnnel nly.

25 Registered Users: Everyne wh is a registered user f this site is a member f this rle. Members f this rle can manage their User Prfile and may be granted rights t view pages and mdules which are nly displayed t lgged in users. Registered user accunts can be set as either Authrized r Unauthrized. If an accunt is Unauthrized, then the user cannt access pages/mdules which are restricted t this rle. This rle cannt be deleted r mdified. Administratr: Members f this rle have full access t manage the site. This includes access t add, delete and edit all pages and mdules n the site. Members f this rle als have access t the Admin pages, which enable users t access all f the Site Administratin mdules. IMPORTANT! This rle shuld nt be deleted r mdified! Security Rle Grups The fllwing terms are used thrughut the web site. They refer t grups f users as well as their status. All Users: All Users refers t all site visitrs regardless f whether they are lgged in r registered n the site. This term is used n page and mdule setting pages t enable them t be set as accessible t all users. This term is nt used n the Security Rles mdule. Authenticated Users: An authenticated user is a registered user wh is lgged int the site. Unauthenticated Users: An unauthenticated user is a site visitr wh isn't lgged int the site. This term is used n page settings and mdule setting pages, but nt n the Security Rles mdule. A typical applicatin fr this user grup wuld be t set a page r mdule as viewable t Unauthenticated Users, but nt t All Users. Then when a user lgs int the site the page r mdule wuld n lnger be displayed. This culd be used fr infrmatin abut jining the site which isn't relevant t users wh are already registered. Abut Security Rle Settings Security Rles can be cnfigured in a number f ways t change the way users can access rles. The fllwing ptins are available. Public Rle: Rles set as public enable all registered users t be able t subscribe r unsubscribe t the rle. Public Rles are managed by authenticated users under Membership Services n the User Accunt mdule. Private Rle: When a rle is nt set as public, it is a private rle. Only Administratrs have access t manage user access t these rles, unless the rle includes an RSVP Cde. NOT AVAILABLE RSVP Cde: When a rle includes an RSVP cde, users can subscribe t the rle by entering the cde int a text bx under Manage Services n their prfile. This prvides a quick way t subscribe and als enables subscriptins t be limited t thse with the cde if the rle is set as Private.

26 NOT AVAILABLE RSVP Link: The RSVP link setting autmatically adds a user t that rle when they g t the RSVP link. This prvides a very easy way f subscribing t a rle. Aut Assignment: All registered users are autmatically added t these rles upn registratin. If the rle is als set as Public, users can unsubscribe and unsubscribe t it. If the rle is set as Private, nly Administratrs can manage user access. Adding a Security Rle (Basic Settings) 1. Select Add New Rle frm the mdule menu. 2. In the Basic Settings sectin cmplete the fllwing fields: a. In the Rle Name text bx, enter a name fr the Security Rle. b. In the Descriptin text bx, enter a brief descriptin f the Security Rle. c. OPTIONAL. At Rle Grup, select a grup fr this rle if desired. Nte: One r mre rle grups must already be created t set this field. Yu can als assciate a rle with a rle grup at a later time. d. At Public Rle?, select ne f the fllwing ptins: Check the check bx if all users are able t view details f this rle and subscribe t this rle. Users can subscribe t r unsubscribe frm these rles when they manage their prfile. Uncheck the check bx if the rle is Private. Only Administratrs can add a user t a private rle. e. At Aut Assignment?, chse frm the fllwing ptins: Check the check bx if users are autmatically assigned t this rle. Uncheck the check bx if users must be manually added t the rle. 4. Click the Update link. NOTE: Advanced Settings are nt applicable t yur site

The fields displayed n the mdule can be set, as well as the way user accunts are handled. Adding a User Accunt Hw t add new user accunt t the site using the User Accunts mdule. 1. Select Add New User frm the User Accunts mdule menu - OR - Click the Add New User link. This pens the Add New User page. 2. In the User Name text bx, enter a user name. The user name can never be changed. Nte: Usernames are unique; a new user cannt be added with an existing Username. If yu attempt t save a user accunt using an existing username this displays the message: "A User Already Exists Fr the Username Specified. Please Register Again Using A Different Username." 3. In the First Name text bx, enter the persn's first name. 4. In the Last Name text bx, enter the persn's last name. 5. In the Display Name text bx, enter the name t be displayed t ther site members. This will autmatically prvide access t the Registered User rle and any rles set fr Aut Assignment. This is the default setting. Generally a Registered User can nly lgin t the site and access pages/mdules assigned fr viewing t the Registered User rle. Uncheck the check bx if the new user is nt yet authrized t access the site. The Administratr is required t authrize this accunt at a later date. 8. At Ntify, select frm the fllwing ptins: Check the check bx t send a ntificatin t the user's address. This is the default setting. Uncheck the check bx if yu dn't wish t send ntificatin. If the accunt is nt authrized, yu may like t send the ntificatin at a later time. 9. T create the user's passwrd, select frm these ptins: T generate a randm passwrd, check the Randm Passwrd check bx. T create a passwrd manually: a. Uncheck the Randm Passwrd check bx. b. In the Passwrd text bx, enter a passwrd. c. In the Cnfirm Passwrd text bx, re-enter the same passwrd. 10. Click the Add New User link.

Three basic levels f permissin are available: Open Files in Flder, Brwse Files in Flder, and Write t Flder.

49 Adding a New Flder Hw t add a new flder t the File Manager mdule. The new flder will inherit the permissins assigned t its parent flder. 1. Navigate t Admin > File Manager. 2. Navigate t and select the flder which will be the parent fr the new flder. 3. On the Flders Tlbar, select ne f the fllwing ptins frm the Flders drp-dwn list: Standard - File System: Select this ptin t stre mst f yur files. This is the default ptin. Secure - File System: Select this ptin if yu want t encrypt the file name t prevent direct linking t this file. Secure - Database: Stres files as a byte array in the database rather than in the usual file system.

Deleting a Flder Hw t permanently delete empty flders frm the File Manager. Nte: A flder cannt be deleted if it has any child flders, r if it cntains any files. If yu wish t keep files which are lcated within a flder which yu are abut t delete, yu can mve them t anther flder. 1. Navigate t Admin > File Manager. 2. Yu must grant Write permissins t any rles that will be managing mdule cntent within yur web site else the rle user(s) will nt be able t uplad any files r create flders frm mdules which have access t the File Manager. Althugh yur rle users which manage mdule cntent wn t have direct access t the File Manager, varius mdules (such as the HTML mdule shwn belw) allw fr uplading files int it (as well as create new flders). If write access is nt granted t the rle user the Uplad and Add New Flder buttns will be disabled t them. Yu can fine tune the varius permissins t be flder specific. Fr example, yu culd nt allw write access t the Prtal Rt directry, but yet have subflders within it that have write permissins (ther than the default persnal flder fr the user). Users are granted write permissin t their persnal flder by default. Persnal flders are defined by a number (which is the user s actual ID number that is attached t their site user accunt see sample belw).

These files can then be viewed using varius mdules such as Links, Media, HTML, etc. 1. Navigate t Admin > File Manager. 2. Navigate t and select a flder that yu are authrized t uplad files t. 3. Click the Uplad buttn lcated n the Files tlbar. This pens the File Uplad page. 4. Click the Brwse... buttn and select a file frm yur cmputer. 5. OPTIONAL. At the drp-dwn bx, change the flder which the file will be upladed t. The default selectin is the flder yu chse at Step OPTIONAL. At Decmpress ZIP Files?, select frm the fllwing ptins if yu are uplading a zip file that yu wish t decmpress (unzip) during uplad. Check the check bx t decmpress the files while uplading them. This adds bth the ZIP file and all the individual files t the selected flder. Uncheck the check bx t uplad the file as a zipped flder. Yu can unzip the files at a later time if required. 7. Click the Uplad File link. If uplad is successful, the [FileName] Upladed Successfully message is displayed.

Unzipping Cmpressed Files Hw t decmpress a zipped flder f files (cmpressed files) within the File Manager mdule. 1. Navigate t Admin > File Manager. 2. By assciating a user's accunt with ne r mre rles (als called Security Rles) yu can permit r deny them access t view and/r edit site mdules. All mdules have a Settings page which is accessed by clicking the Settings ptin in the mdule menu, r by clicking the Settings buttn at the base f the mdule. In the View Mdule clumn, by default all rle checkbxes are lcked as they are inheriting the page view permissins (see Uncheck in abve step #6). Click n the check bx beside a rle/username repeatedly until the crrect permissin is displayed. The fllwing ptins are available: Nt Specified: Permissins are nt specified.
