2 2 THIS MANUAL IS DEVIDED INTO THREE PARTS: 1. THE MEMBER CONTROL PANEL 2. THE ADMIN CONROL PANEL 3. THE CONTENT MANAGEMENT PANEL THE MEMBER CONTROL PANEL is visible to both you and the users on your SMS platform. It shows the users how to send SMS and how to manage their entire accounts. The admin also has access to the MEMBER CONTROL PANEL and can perform all the member s functions like sending SMS. THE ADMIN CONTROL PANEL is visible only to the admin. The admin just like the members is required to logs in from the front interface. The admin has access to many of the useful admin features including the ability to determine the price of SMS units on his/her platform. THE CONTENT MANAGEMENT PANEL is only used by the admin to manage the contents of his/her website. The admin is able to add new contents or change the existing contents on the website like contact information, account information, etc.
3 3 THE MEMBER CONTROL PANEL This is the page that displays the entire Menu available for the members to manage their account. This page is available to all registered members (including the admin). A represents the members SMS account balance B represents member s free SMS units awarded daily by the admin 1. Compose SMS Menu

5 5 This is the page where instant and scheduled messages are composed. The necessary parameters for sending messages on this page are: Sender ID (Eleven characters at the maximum), Destination Numbers and the content of the messages There are other functions available on the Compose SMS page a. Upload Phone Nos: You can use this option to add recipient s phone numbers instead of typing in the destination box. These numbers would have been typed and saved in a text file (notepad). b. Send to phonebook groups: use this option to pick recipients number from the ones you have previously saved in your phonebook on the portal. c. Save copy as Draft: Use this to save a copy of the message as draft> Just enter a title for the draft message. d. Save to Phonebook: If the recipients are manually typed/copied into the recipient s box, you can save a copy of the recipients to your phone book. Just enter the name of the group. 2. Transaction History
6 6 This menu displays all the transactions the member has carried out in his account. The details include the date, time, balance before and after the transaction, status of the transaction and the cost. 3. Compose Multiple SMS Use this menu to send different messages to different recipients at once by uploading the message and recipient list in csv or text format. The right format is shown on the how to export excel sheet to CSV tab. 4. Transfer SMS Units Use this option to transfer SMS units to other members 5. Phone Book
7 This menu is used to manage the phone book record in one s account. The phone book is used to save numbers just like the phone book on the GSM phones. On this menu, you can create a phonebook group. You can also edit the Group that has been created. Moreover, you can add phone numbers to the groups that has been created. These numbers can be added in batches by uploading from a text file (notepad) or they can add them one by one. 6. Vouchers Vouchers are used to credit members account. A member can purchase SMS vouchers from the admin or designated sales point and use the same voucher to credit his account. 7. Debt Profile This menu displays the debt record of the member and the status. Debts are incurred whenever the admin credits a member when the payment is not confirmed. The admin on
8 the credit page will set the transaction as debt. When payment is confirmed, the status of the payment will be modified from unpaid to paid. 8. Message History This menu displays the records of previously sent messages. Part of the details displayed are: the sender ID, the recipients, status of the message (sent or pending), the total units charged for the message, scheduled date (if message was scheduled) and the delivery date. User scan resend, or forward the messages from this page. 9. Order Phone Numbers Phone numbers can be purchased on the portal (if admin enables this option). This menu displays the different numbers demography that are available and the prices set for them by the admin. The rates for the numbers when purchased will be taken from the member s sms units
9 Www. 10. Draft Messages This menu displays the messages that have been saved as draft messages in the member s account. 11. Chat History Chat history is used to display all previous SMS messages you have sent to a particular phone number. 12. Shop
10 This menu if enabled by the admin, will display all the products that are available for sale on the platform. These products can be ebooks, recharge cards, vouchers, etc. members will be able to purchase this product from the shop menu with their ATM card if the online payment option is enabled by the admin. 13. Buy SMS Use this page to order and purchase SMS units. There are three options available on the page a. Buy with ATM credit/debit cards. This option will be available if the online payment option is enabled by the admin. Members can purchase SMS units with their ATM cards and their account will be credited instantly as soon as the payment is completed. b. With SMS voucher. Use vouchers generated by the admin to credit users account. c. With bank payment. Users can place order here after making a bank deposit for their account to be credited.
11 14. Personal Settings Here Members can edit their personal settings. The settings include default sender ID, signature, notification alerts. 15. Webview Webview is an option that allows you to send SMS on your website or desktop without having to write any code or enter your password. 16. Audit Trail This displays the records of the users activities on his account.

13 THE ADMIN CONTROL PANEL The Admin control menu is only accessible to the administrator of the portal. Admin Control Panel displays all the menu the admin uses to manage the website. 1. Settings This is the page where configuration settings for the SMS portal is managed. The configuration settings are categorised into tabs a. Website
14 i. ii. Timezone/Timezone offset: indicates the time zone for the portal Default Decimal Places: specifies the decimal places for values on the portal iii. Default Role for New Members: this indicates the role that will be automatically assigned to the new members as soon as the account is created. Datagrid Page Size: indicates the maximum numbers of records to be displayed per page. The other records will spill to other pages. Enable Notification Popup: Use this to enable/disable notification popup on the portal. Currency: The currency used on the portal iv. v. vi. vii. Date/Time Display Format: Specifies the format for date and time display on the portal b. Database Auto-Backup This is used to configure auto backup for the portal. The backup files can be sent to a specified or an FTP account. Also the interval (hours) for the backup can be specified here. c. Messaging
15 This is used to specify the settings for the system generated messages. These system generated messages are sent to users whenever they carry out related operations on the portal. The settings include the Sender ID for the system messages, the country code and the admin phone number d. registration Settings This setting is used to control the system behaviour when new users are created. i. ii. iii. iv. Free SMS units for new members indicate the free SMS units to be given to members whenever they register. Percent/ Free units on First Purchase: The admin can decide to give free sms to members on their first purchase. These could be calculated in terms of a certain percentage of the purchased units or a fixed value. Daily free SMS: Admin can decide to give daily free SMS units to members Advert appended to Daily Free SMS: This will be appended to messages sent with the awarded free SMS units e. SPC Notification settings
16 This is used to manage the automatic notifications sent to users on the portal. f. SPC Gateway/API settings This section takes care of the portal connections and interaction with other portals. The default API section is used to specify the API to be used for the website.
17 Your SMS API (Your SMS API: give to your resellers) to be given to any portal/application which needs a remote connection to your portal. The API is in two formats; one for the SPC version 4 and the one for the previous version SPC 3. g. SPC Filtering This section is used to set up message filtering for the portal. This prevents SPAM messages from been sent on the portal. Sender IDs, countries and some words can be blocked. Also, you can specify message to be used as replacement for the blocked sender ID or words. h. Prices, Payment Gateway/ Numbers i. SPC Additional Settings
18 You can modify additional settings on the portal 1. Registration from Mobile APP: allows users to register from the mobile app. 2. User Group for Mobile Registration: The user group users who registers on the mobile app will be automatically assigned to. 3. Phone Numbers Sales: Use to enable sales of phone numbers on the portal. 4. Sold phone Numbers: You can hide phone numbers that are purchased by users. When the numbers are hidden, members will still be able to send messages to them. 5. Enable Webshop Page: This enables the shop menu in the member control panel. 6. Enable Daily SMS Reports: when enabled, daily SMS summary report will be sent to members. The report will contain the summary of all the SMS sent daily. 7. Member Message History: Use this to control the display of the recipients on the member s message history page.
19 2. Manage Members Here you can manage the member s record on the portal 3. Credit Members
20 4. Transaction History This menu displays the records of all transactions on the portal. Also, pending transactions can be approved here. 5. Draft Messages
21 See records of all draft messages in the members account on the portal. 6. Vouchers 7.Phone Book Use this menu to view the phone book records of all members on the portal 8.Message History Access the records of the send and pending messages on the portal 9. Debt Profile Manage the debt profile of members. You can change the status of the debt profile record.
22 10. Price Models Use this menu to specify the pricing for the sales of SMS units. The settings here is used by the cost calculator on the buy SMS platform, therefore, it should be the same as the one on the pricing page on your portal. 11. Phone Numbers Sales

24 13. Message Summary 14.Bonus for Members/ Periodic Bonuses The menu is used to award bonuses to members. The bonuses can be periodic or restricted to some categories of members.
25 15.VoguePay Merchant IDs Use the menu to manage the VoguePay merchant IDs for online payment processing on your portal. For users to buy items on the shop menu and also use the ATM card option on the buy SMS page, the VoguePay Merchant IDs need to be set up. 16. System Tools a. New Alert for Members: this is used to setup pop up notification for members. The notification pops up as soon as the members logs in to their account. b. Clear All Pending Messages: Use this menu to clear previous notification. Especially if the notifications have expired c. Clear All Special Costs: Clear special costs that has been set up previously d. Clear All Special API: clear special API assigned to members e. Delete All Pending Transactions: Use this menu to delete all the transactions whose status is pending. f. Delete Draft Message: use the menu to clear all draft messages in the members account g. Delete All Pending Alerts: All pending alerts set up for users will be cleared. h. Delete All Used Vouchers: Use the menu to delete all vouchers that has been used from the database.
26 17. WebShop Webshop is used to setup the digital products to be sold on the portal. This is where the products users access on the Shop menu is set up 18. WebShop Pins The WebShop Pin menu is used to generate/upload vouchers and pins for products that require pins. 19. Page Menus
27 Use this menu to edit the icons and the title for the menus shown on the member s and admin control panel 20.Audit Trail Audit Trail keeps records of the activities of every users on the portal
28 CONTENT MANAGEMENT PANEL The Content Management Panel gives you access to the backend of your website where you are able to change all the contents on your website. To change/manage the contents on your website such as the contact information and bank account information, simply go to Please replace yourwebsite.com.ng with your own website. Once you do that, the login page as shown below will display. Once the login page appears, login using the username and the password that we have provided to you via after the setting up of your website. If you are successfully logged in, the page below will show.

Changing/Editing the contents: To change the contents on your website such as the contact information, bank account information and the about us information, hover your mouse on Contents and then click on Article Manager. One the page is open, you are able to see all the pages on your website [Home page, about us, contact us, etc].
30 Click on the page that you wish to edit. Once the page is open, scroll down and make all the changes that you want in the content box. After making the changes, click on the Save & close button found on the top right corner as shown below. After saving the changes, refresh your website to see the changes made.
