1 1. What is Alert Service? The Alert Service is a new feature designed to send timely reminders to PAT CPF-users on their CPF submission before the deadline. It will check on any pending CPF submission of any Employer Reference Number (ERN) and Employee Groups that the user has access to. 2. What is the subscription fee for this service? This is a FREE service 3. Is this service available to PAT-IRAS users? No. This service is only available to PAT-CPF users 4. Under what circumstances will I receive the Alert(s)? You will receive the Alert(s) if any of these circumstances occur: a) No Payment Advice is created or uploaded on any Employee Group(s) or any ERN(s). b) At least one Payment Advice is created or uploaded but not submitted on any Employee Group(s) or any ERN(s). c) Pending Submission of Payment Advice on some Employee Group(s) or some ERN(s) and pending preparation of Payment Advice on some other Employee Group(s) or some other ERN(s). 3 5. I am interested in this service. How do I activate this? Simply use your allocated Administrator ID (issued by CrimsonLogic), login to PAT website at and follow the steps below: a) Go to menu of Company Profile, select User followed by Update. b) You will be brought to User Profile page, click on the User ID that you would like the designated user to receive the Alert. c) Upon clicking on the designated User ID, you will be brought to below page, for you to subscribe to the Alert Service.

4 d) Go to For CPF Submissions section. e) Tick f) Read the Terms and Conditions of the Alert Service by clicking on its link. g) Click on the button to save the information. You will be prompted with a message Do you agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Alert Service?

5 h) Click on button to agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Alert Service. i) When the message User Record has been successfully updated is displayed, it means that you have successfully subscribed to the Alert Service. 6. If I have completed all my CPF submissions, will I still get the Alert(s)? No. The Alert(s) will only be sent to users who have pending submissions or preparation of Payment Advice. 7. Will I receive any Alert(s) on any unused Employee Group(s) or ERN(s)? The Alert(s) will be sent to you as long as there is pending submission or preparation of Payment Advice detected on any Employee Group(s) or any ERN(s) you have access to. Hence, users are advised to update the Employee Group(s) and ERN(s) regularly to avoid receiving alerts and/or being charged in respect of such unused Employee Groups and/or ERN(s) 8. When will I receive the Alert(s)? You will receive the Alert(s) from the 10 th to 14 th of every month, on a daily basis, for five consecutive days 9. Will this Alert or PAT system submit files on users behalves? No. The PAT system will not perform any automatic submissions on the users behalves. Users are required to handle their own submissions.

6 10. How do I de-activate this service? Simply uncheck the option

7 Terms & Conditions and Details on the Usage of Alert Service for CPF Submissions 1. The Alert Service is a new feature designed to send timely reminders to PAT system users ( Subscribers ) on their CPF submissions. Under this service, messages will be sent every month to Subscribers with pending CPF submissions or preparations, reminding them to submit their CPF submissions before the deadline ( Alerts ). 2. The usage of this service is governed by the terms and conditions stated herein as well as the CrimsonLogic General Terms and Conditions (ASP Services) ( General T&Cs ). If there is any conflict or inconsistency between the terms and conditions herein and the General T&Cs, the terms and conditions herein shall prevail to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency. 3. In order to start receiving the Alerts, Subscribers will have to first activate this service from the PAT website and update their User Profile. They have to tick the option Reminders for submitting Payment Advice and provide a valid address to which the Alerts will be sent. Should Subscribers decide to stop receiving Alerts or deactivate this service, they can simply uncheck the option mentioned above. 4. The Subscribers are required to ensure that: (i) (ii) the correct address is provided to CrimsonLogic in the PAT system, in connection with the Alert Service and undertakes to immediately inform CrimsonLogic of any error or changes thereto. any changes to the Employer Reference Numbers ( ERN s ) and/or Employee Groups, including but not limited to change in details, additions and/or deletions are up-dated regularly. 5. After a Subscriber has activated this service, Alerts will be sent to the designated address, from the 10 th to 14 th day of every month. However, these Alerts will only be sent if the Subscriber, at that point of time, has not yet prepared or submitted the CPF contributions of its employees for the previous month to the CPF Board. Therefore, before sending the Alerts, our system will first check if CPF submissions for the previous month have been carried out for the ERN s and Employee Groups which the Subscriber has access to. The system will detect a pending submission and send out Alerts if either or a combination of the following conditions are true for any of the ERN s or Employee Groups: a) There is no payment advice created/uploaded yet; OR b) There is at least one payment advice that is created/uploaded but not submitted yet. c) Pending Submission of Payment Advice on some Employee Group(s) or some ERN(s) and pending preparation of Payment Advice on some other Employee Group(s) or some other ERN(s). The content of the Alerts will also include a summary of the pending submissions.

8 6. The Alerts will be sent in respect of all ERN s and Employee Groups, whether or not in use. Subscribers are required to ensure that any unused ERN s and/or Employee Groups are removed or deleted in order to avoid receiving Alerts in respect of such unused ERN s and/or Employee Groups. 7. Please take note that this Alert Service will only serve as a reminder. Hence, Subscribers will still have to login to the PAT website to do the due diligence to submit their CPF contributions on-time. Our system will not perform any automatic submissions on the Subscribers behalf. 8. While every reasonable effort shall be made to ensure that the sending of the Alert is successful, the services are still subject to the constraints of the internet and telecommunication services provided by the internet and telecom service providers and CrimsonLogic shall not be liable for any failure of the Subscriber to receive the Alert. 9. CrimsonLogic does not represent, warrant, guarantee or assume any responsibility for the timelines, receipt or quality of information transmitted as part of the Alert Service. 10. CrimsonLogic shall not be liable in any way to the Subscriber whether in contract, tort or otherwise for any damage, loss or liability incurred or sustained by the Subscriber or any third party caused by or as a result of: (i) (ii) (iii) (iv) (v) (vi) any system downtime or failures of the internet software or hardware; any failure, delay, interruption to or disruption of in the transmission or reception of any data howsoever caused or arising; any loss, corruption or deletion of any data or information at any stage of the transmission between CrimsonLogic and the Subscriber, howsoever caused or arising; any force majeure event, the occurrence of which CrimsonLogic is unable to control or avoid by the use of reasonable diligence; any error, omission or inaccuracy in any information provided by CrimsonLogic to the Subscriber; and any failure of the internet, public telecommunication network or other related third parties attributable to the fault or negligence of any such third party or parties. 11. CrimsonLogic may suspend the Alert Service (indefinitely or for such period as CrimsonLogic may consider appropriate) by giving not less than two (2) days notice thereof to the Subscriber by way of or by facsimile to an address or facsimile number of the Subscriber as provided. However there would be no or facsimile notification for temporary shut down of service for maintenance activities, and an announcement will be published on PAT website for such cases. Any suspension of Alert Service may be reinstated by CrimsonLogic at its absolute discretion.

9 12. Any breach by the Subscriber of its obligations may entitle CrimsonLogic to terminate or suspend the Alert Service. 13. THE SUBSCRIBER, BY CHECKING THE Reminders for submitting Payment Advice OPTION, SHALL BE DEEMED TO HAVE READ AND AGREED TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS STATED HEREIN AND SUBSCRIBED TO THE ALERT SERVICE.
