1 Carpenters.org Member Information The Carpenters.org website provides the ability for good standing Members to create an account within the website. Upon successfully creating an account, Members will gain access to the Member s section of Carpenters.org and have access to union news, events, notifications, and the CITF Online Learning. How to create a Member Account Navigate to the Carpenters.org website. Select the Members button on the home screen. The sign-in screen displays. Select the First Time? Register Here! option. The Create Your Account screen displays. Populate the following information and select Verify my Account: Last Name Last 4 of SSN/SIN UBC ID # (No U or Dashes)

2 The system displays the member information from the UBC s database. Select Save Account Info. Create a Username and enter the Code. Select Create Account. Username Information: Maximum of 12 characters Letters, numbers or a combination of the two Special characters are prohibited Username is not case-sensitive Code Information: Generated by the system and displays in red font Contains six upper case letters Code is not case-sensitive

3 The system will display the message below indicating the account was successfully created. Your account has been created. Please check your for two messages. The first message will verify your member status and contain the username you selected. The second message contains a temporary password; log in and change it to a password you choose. Note: The s may appear in your Junk/Spam folder. #1 Sample Congratulations! Your Carpenters.org Members Site account has successfully been created. The username you selected is below: Username: Charlie123 A temporary password for your new account will arrive shortly in a separate message Copy the temporary password below Click the login link below Enter your username in the designated field Enter your temporary password in the designated field NOTE: You will need to change your password before you can access the members section. Login Location:

4 #2 Sample This message contains the temporary password for your Carpenters.org Members Site account. Temporary Password: f1e7r7v3 #1 provides a Login Location link that directs the member to the Carpenters.org sign-in screen. Populate the Username, Temporary Password and select Sign In. The Change Password screen displays. The system requires the member to create a new password, confirm the password, and select Change Password. Once the password has been accepted, the member gains access to the Members section within Carpenters.org. Password Information: At least 6 to 12 characters Utilize a combination of letters and numbers Special characters are prohibited Passwords is case-sensitive

5 CITF Online Learning Information The Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF) now offers eligible members the opportunity to complete online courses through the CITF Online Learning section of Carpenters.org. In addition to online courses, the CITF will utilize this functionality to communicate with members and provide updates to existing curriculum or training. To access the CITF Online Learning, log into the Members section of Carpenters.org, select Training & Tips. Select the CITF Online Learning option. The CITF Online Learning Center screen displays.

The sign-in screen displays providing the following links: Forgot Username / Password? Help Forgot Username / Password? Help Forgot Username / Password? Help Forgot Username Upon selecting the Forgot Username link, the system displays the following screen. You must enter the Address, Last 4 of the SSN/SIN, the Code, and select Submit Form. The system immediately sends an to the member indicating the Username. Forgot Password Upon selecting the Forgot Password link, the system displays the following screen. You must enter the Username, Last 4 of the SSN/SIN, the Code, and select Submit Form. The system immediately sends an to the member indicating the currentpassword.
