Peaceful Pill Forum Rules The Exit Peaceful Pill Forums are a private Forum for the purpose of discussing the content of and asking questions in regard to The Peaceful Pill ehandbook. While we encourage a free flow of information and ideas on the Forums, we also insist that you follow the rules. By using or participating in the Peaceful Pill Forums, you agree to the Rules of Conduct as stated below, as well as the Peaceful Pill Forums User Agreement. Posting "Real Life" Information Posting any real life information which describes what one has done or intends to do where suicide is concerned is absolutely prohibited and will result in the posts being immediately removed and the poster may be subject to a life ban. It is also prohibited to post information which reveals one's own or another's identity. This includes such things as full names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. Purposely posting links to a user's social networking pages, website, and soliciting for contact off-list etc. for any purpose will be severely dealt with and could result in a life ban. Off-site references & Solicitation Solicitation and referral of Exit forum members to other online suicide information/ discussion sites is prohibited. A breach of this rule may result in a life ban of the poster. Criminal Activity It can be a fine line determining how much discussion of illegal activity on the Peaceful Pill Forums is covered by the First Amendment. This is why discussion needs to be carefully framed (and will be closely moderated as such) so as respect the limits of US Federal and Constitutional law to prevent the explicitly and willful encouraging and/or inciting of members to break the law of the US or any other country. Any explicit instruction on how to carry out illegal activity is not allowed. This includes but is not limited to discussions about how to import prohibited drugs, steal, fraud, kill someone or assist with a suicide. Suicide Sites, Pornography, Sexually Explicit Content Absolutely no forms of non-rational suicide, pornographic or overly sexually suggestive imagery (including paedophilia) are allowed on the Exit Peaceful Pill Forums, this includes links and/or posting a name of a suicide and/ or porn sites. Note that this content is not limited to images. We allow mature discussions of suicide methods in the context of rational
suicide only. Forum discussion must remain within the law. Any post that is deemed to encourage, incite, aid or abet suicide will be removed and the member may be to a life ban. Incitement, Flaming & Bashing Hate posts, personal attacks and posts that encourage, incite, aid or abet suicide from other Members will not be tolerated on the Exit Peaceful Pill Forums. Treat others on these Forums as you would expect them to treat you. Talking trash about another user or posting topics specifically to provoke an individual, a group or an entire community is not acceptable on the Exit Peaceful Pill Forums. These posts will be deleted and will result in a life ban with no appeal. Racism/Hate/ Profane Language Peaceful Pill Forums will not tolerate hate speech in any form. Offensive language is also unacceptable. This includes but is not limited to racist slang terms, hateful comments based on skin colour or background, religious bashing or intolerance, gay bashing, sexist or misogynistic material, faith based prejudicial statements, derogatory remarks, and all poor taste jokes about these topics. Trolling We are all entitled to our opinions but if you are knowingly or purposely posting to incite anger/negativity/ violence on the Forums, you will be banned for trolling. These boards are meant for meaningful and informative discussions and debate, they are not a place for you to start trouble. Spam Purposely spamming a message board with senseless, vacuous, or empty messages is discouraged. Participating in spam attacks (post riots, etc.) on the Peaceful Pill Forums or planning a spam attack on the Peaceful Pill Forums or any other Website (including those associated with Exit) is unacceptable, and these actions will be reported to your ISP. Copyrighted Material Peaceful Pill Forum users agree not to post any material that is protected by copyright, trademark or other proprietary right without the express permission of the owner(s) of said copyright, trademark or other proprietary right. This includes but is not limited to magazine, book and newspaper scans, television broadcasts and copyrighted photos and pictures.
Advertising & Solicitation Posting for the pure purpose of driving traffic to your own website or other commercial activity (eg. book) is not allowed. This includes overt self-promotion, pyramid schemes, free offers, other Forums, money-making ventures, etc. These Forums are not an advertising platform for you to use. They exist for the benefit of subscribers to The Peaceful Pill ehandbook and members of Exit International. Impersonating Other Users / Accessing Another User's Account You may not impersonate another Forum member or create an account specifically for the purpose of provoking other users. Also, accessing or using someone else's account or attempting to access another poster's account is strictly prohibited. If you engage in this type of behaviour, you will be subject to a life ban from the Forums. Altering Forums Code Altering or changing Exit Forum code and/or exploiting code bugs for purposes other than what the Forums were intended to do is strictly prohibited. On a similar note, using automatic scripts on any part of the Peaceful Pill Forums is also not permitted. Hacking, altering board code, exploiting code bugs and using scripts are all grounds for an immediate and life ban. Off-Topic Posts Deliberate off-topic posts will likely be deleted, and further action may be taken against repeat offenders. Questionable Content Since it's impossible to have a rule to cover everything, this is the rule to cover most things. These Forums are private, so act like you would if you were a guest in someone's home. Exit reserves the right to choose the guidelines of objectionable content based on its knowledge of users and Exit policy. These issues are left to the discretion of the individual moderators, but may include any material that is knowingly false and/or defamatory, misleading, inciting, violent, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, illegal, obscene, racist, sexist, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy or that otherwise violates any law or encourages conduct constituting a criminal offense in the US.
There are many posts each day on the Peaceful Pill Forums, so we can't always promise you'll receive a warning every time action has to be taken. By registering at the Peaceful Pill Forums, users agree that any post deemed inappropriate may be removed at the sole discretion of Exit. Exit also has the right, at its sole discretion, to revoke Forum privileges at any time without notice or reason. Think of these rules as a forewarning and, if you break them, you're taking your membership of these Forums into your own hands. Also note that the Board Rules extend to all areas of the Peaceful Pill Forums system, including but not limited to and un-ban requests. This also includes asking for or offering anything against the Board Rules via Private Messages or . Exit is not responsible for messages posted on the Peaceful Pill Forums or the content therein. Unless expressly stated otherwise, this includes messages posted by Exit personnel, agents, representatives et al. Exit reserves the right to reveal the identity of or whatever information we know about any user in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by said user. Exit has the right but not the obligation to monitor and/or moderate the Peaceful Pill Forums. Exit reserves the right to change any or all other parts of this User Agreement at its sole discretion and without notice, including but not limited to implementing Rules of Conduct, Terms of Service and/or other measures. Moderation The Peaceful Pill Forums are a moderated forum. However, the moderators cannot be everywhere and see everything. Because of this, please use these rules as a guideline as to what is and is not allowed, rather than the content of other users posts. If you see something that is against the Forum Rules, please report it to the Moderators Link. Note that the Exitappointed Moderators have the final say-so in any situation that you report. They will evaluate the situation on a case-by-case basis and take appropriate action where needed. If you feel a moderator did not handle the situation, you can send an to exitforums@peacefulpill.com The Moderators may be volunteers chosen by Exit or Exit staff members - all of whom give their time to help keep the Forums an informative place for everyone. Moderators contribute towards discussion, monitor Forum posts and respond to complaints to keep posting free of undesirable content as described in the Peaceful Pill Forums Rules and
the User Agreement. Moderators are eligible to enforce the Forum rules, and can delete posts, edit posts as well as remove any user's ability to visit the boards. Please respect and adhere to Moderators' warnings, both public and private. Likewise, if your topic was deleted or locked by a Moderator, do not repost or unlock the topic. Moderators deserve respect and appreciation for their time. Disagreements With A Moderator Exit acknowledges that disagreements can occur. However, Exit Moderators are not targets for your obscenities, flames or general insults. If you do not agree with a decision, you are not entitled to start a topic arguing about the verdict or flaming any of the moderators. Any such messages will be removed. Also note that bans are between the user banned and the Moderators, and Moderators will not respond about bans publicly. Any correspondence about ban length and reason will be handled through un-ban requests. Bans If you log onto the Exit Peaceful Pill Forums and receive a message that you have been banned, you can submit an un-ban request and wait for a Moderator to get in touch with you. Bans are private matters between the Moderators and person banned and will not be discussed publicly or through third parties. It is not acceptable to return to the boards under another username. If you do, your ban time may be extended.
