1 MathWorks MATLAB download & installation instructions 1. Get the software from by clicking on the Get MATLAB Software link. Login with your CSUF Portal username and password. 2. If you don t have a MathWorks account associated with your CSUF account, you will be asked to create one. If you already have an account you will be asked to login. 3. Download the software by clicking on the Download Products. You will need to select your operating system. 4. Install the software. Follow the installation steps. 2 1 Get the software & authenticate with MathWorks Steps Images Step One Go to /MatLab and click on Get MATLAB License link Step Two Enter your CSUF Portal username and password. Click on Login. Step Three If you don t have a MathWorks account associated with your CSUF account, you will be asked to create one. If you already have an account you will be asked to login. 3 Step Four Create Account Before you can download the software you will need to create a MathWorks account. Click on Create. Accounts created using a non-campus address will not be eligible for the free license. Step Five Create Account Your CSUF address, First & Last names will be prepopulated. Enter a password of your choice. The password must be at least 8 characters, with at least one upper-case and one number. Click on Create. Note: Accounts created using a non-campus address will not be eligible for the free license. 3 Information Technology Student Technology Services

4 Step Six Verify your Account Verify your address. Login to your campus and look for the sent from MathWorks. Open the and click on the Verify your button. Note: You must complete this step before proceeding, otherwise your account will not be properly associated with the campus license. Step Seven Existing Account Users If you already have a MathWorks account associated with your CSUF , you will be prompted to login with that account. 5 Step Eight Existing Account Users Login with your CSUF address and the password you used when you created your MathWorks account. Click on Log In. 5 Information Technology Student Technology Services

6 2 Downloading the software Steps Step One New Accounts Images If you just created your account by following the steps above, once the account has been created you will directed to the download page. Click on R2016a and then proceed to step 3 If you are an existing user, proceed to step 2. Step Two If you logged in with your existing MathWorks account, you will see your account screen. To download the software click on the download icon under the My Software section. You will be re-directed Downloads page. Click on R2016a and then proceed to step 3 Step Three Select your operating system. This guides shows the installation steps on Windows 64bit Operating System, but the remaining installation steps will be similar for other operating systems. 6 Information Technology Student Technology Services

7 Step Four The software will start downloading. Step Five Run the installer files. Select Log in with MathWorks Account and click Next. Step Six Click Next. Step Seven Click Yes. 7 Information Technology Student Technology Services

8 Step Eight Click Download. Step Four MATLAB will start downloading to your computer. The duration of this process depends on the speed of your internet connection and the quality of your personal computer. 8 Information Technology Student Technology Services

9 3 Installing your software The instructions for this guide were done on a PC; however the installation screens will be the same for a Mac. Steps Images Step One The installation will start once the software has been downloaded. On the MathWorks Installer window, select the Install using the Internet option and click Next.
