3 NUIT Tech Talk: Collaboration Services Recap Phase 1 (2011) - Microsoft Exchange (COMPLETE) University-wide, comprehensive collaboration platform including , calendaring and mobile functionality Approximately 20,000 University collaboration accounts Integrate with Microsoft productivity tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) Phase 2 (2012) - Microsoft Lync (COMPLETE) University-wide instant messaging, web conferencing, and document sharing tool Integrate document sharing & collaboration with day-to-day tools Provide common instant messaging solution

4 NUIT Tech Talk: Collaboration Services Recap Phase 2.5 (2012) Unified Messaging (IN PROGRESS) Combines voice mail and in your Inbox Messages delivered to the Inbox contain a voice-to-text preview of voice mail message Allows voice control of voice mail, , and calendaring functions via telephone

5 Recent Changes Exchange Storage Increased to 8GB Recognized the need for increased storage once , calendar, and voic were combined Elimination of the Online Archive for all users Existing Online Archive users had a new folder created in their primary mail file called Archive_NetID (ex. Archive_jsg665)

9 NUIT Tech Talk: Hotfix Location and Installation Instructions Download the file from the NUIT website at Installation Instructions 1. Download xxx_.zip' to local machine for either 32-bit or 64-bit version of MS Office. 2. To view which MS Office version is installed click File, select Help, and find the version information under About Microsoft Product. 3. Extract the files to a location with local rights, such as 'c:\user\netid\downloads'. 4. Close Outlook 2010 and extract the file. 5. Using 'run as administrator', open the 'Office2010--kbXXX.exe' file to install the patch. 6. The Room Finder and Suggested Meeting Times features should be available when a new meeting is opened in Outlook 2010.
