The MRF will be up and running, so you can see what happens to all the bottles, cans, and paper you put in the blue curbside recycling barrel. Plus, we ll have displays about recycling, composting, and water conservation, and activities for kids. FREE TIRE DROP OFF: Tires on rims OK. Car and truck tires only. No tires from machinery/equipment. Limit of nine tires per vehicle. For City of Victorville and Town of Apple Valley residents only. No businesses. Proof of residency required. FREE COMPOST & MULCH GIVEAWAY: Pick up 30 gallons of compost and 30 gallons of mulch. This is a do it yourself project, so bring your own shovel and bags or cans to load material into. Compost and mulch donated by Burrtec Waste Industries and is made from garden trimmings. DOOR PRIZES & GIVEAWAYS: Test your recycling skill by taking our Recycling Quiz and then spin the wheel to win a prize. We ll also be giving away a backyard composting bin. DOUBLE YOUR CRV CONTEST: Bring your CRV bottles and cans to the MRF to redeem at the Buy Back Center and enter our Double Your CRV Contest. We ll draw the names of two lucky winners at the end of the day. The winners will get a coupon good for Double Your CRV on their next trip to the MRF Buy Back Center, up to a maximum of $100. At end of ramp, turn right, then turn right again to cross over the freeway. After crossing over the freeway, veer/turn right and head North on Stoddard Wells Road. Approximately 1/3 mile, turn left onto Abbey Lane. The MRF is located at the end of Abbey Lane.
