2 Using yur Virtual Meeting Rm Using yur Virtual Meeting Rm Abut yur Virtual Meeting Rm Yur Virtual Meeting Rm (VMR) is a persnal space that is always available fr yu t meet with thers ver vide r audi, and share presentatins. It has a unique alias that yu and the ther participants dial t jin the cnference, and it can ptinally be PIN-prtected. Jining the cnference Yu d nt need t specially reserve the VMR r schedule a time fr the cnference because the VMR is always available fr yur persnal use. When yu and the ther participants want t meet in yur Virtual Meeting Rm: 1. Frm and Infinity Cnnect client r yur preferred vide endpints, each dial the cnference alias. 2. If prmpted fr a PIN, yu shuld enter the hst PIN. Yur guests shuld enter the guest PIN. The first hst participant t jin will see their wn vide until anther participant jins. Guest participants will see a hlding screen until the first hst arrives. Lcking a cnference If yu want t prevent any further participants frm jining a cnference after it has started, yu can lck it. The impact f lcking depends n whether r nt the Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium being used has a hst PIN. If the service des nt have a hst PIN: participants will be able t jin the cnference until it is lcked after the cnference has been lcked, any further participants wh attempt t jin the cnference (including any manuallyinvited participants) will be held at the Waiting fr cnference hst screen when the cnference is unlcked, any participants wh are still waiting will autmatically jin the cnference. If the service has a hst PIN: hst and guest participants will be able t jin the cnference until it is lcked after the cnference has been lcked, participants wh enter the hst PIN will be able t jin the cnference immediately - lcking des nt apply t them after the cnference has been lcked, guest participants (including any manually-invited guest participants) will be held at the Waiting fr cnference hst screen when the cnference is unlcked, any guest participants wh are still waiting will autmatically jin the cnference. 3 Using yur Virtual Meeting Rm Abut PINs, hst and guests Sme VMRs will use PINs fr extra security and in sme cases t distinguish between hsts and guests. If yur VMR has ne PIN fr all participants, they will all have hst privileges. If yur VMR has different hst and guest PINs, each participant will have privileges based n the PIN they enter. Hst privileges If the first participant t jin the cnference is a hst, they will be shwn their wn self view until anther hst r guest jins the cnference. If the cnference has a hst PIN, participants wh enter the hst PIN will be able t jin a cnference even if it is lcked. A minute r s after the last hst has left, any remaining guests will be autmatically discnnected. (Nte that administratrs can change the length f time befre guests will be discnnected by ging t Platfrm cnfiguratin > Glbal settings > Guests-nly timeut.) Hsts can use Infinity Cnnect r the Pexip Mbile App t discnnect participants frm the cnference. Hsts can use Infinity Cnnect r the Pexip Mbile App t add participants t the cnference. Hsts can use Infinity Cnnect r the Pexip Mbile App t mute and unmute an individual participant. If the cnference is hsted in a Virtual Auditrium: The Pexip Infinity administratr may cnfigure the Virtual Auditrium s that hsts can see up t 22 ther participants, in a 1+21 screen layut. Guest privileges If any guests enter the cnference befre a hst has arrived, they will be shwn a hlding screen and hear a message advising them that they are waiting fr the cnference hst. A minute r s after the last hst has left, any remaining guests will be autmatically discnnected. During this time, Virtual Auditrium guests being shwn the hsts-nly view will be able t see ther guests. (Nte that administratrs can change the length f time befre guests will be discnnected by ging t Platfrm cnfiguratin > Glbal settings > Guests-nly timeut.) T make a call t a Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium, r t call anther persn directly, using Infinity Cnnect via a web brwser: 1. Open ne f the fllwing supprted brwsers: Ggle Chrme versin 27 and later Mzilla Firefx versin 20 and later Opera versin 23 and later Micrsft Internet Explrer versin 10 and later (requires Flash Player 11 and later ActiveX plug-in, and must nt be in Cmpatibility View) Apple Safari versin 6 and later (Mac OS X nly) (requires Flash Player 11 and later plug-in) 2. D ne f the fllwing in the address bar: Enter the link t the Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium that was prvided t yu by yur system administratr r the cnference rganizer. Enter the IP address r dmain name f yur nearest Cnferencing Nde r reverse prxy, fllwed by /webapp/. Fr example, if the dmain name f yur reverse prxy is rp.example.cm, yu wuld enter rp.example.cm/webapp/. Yu will be presented with the lg in screen. 3. In the Persn r cnference t dial field, enter the alias f the Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium yu wish t jin, r the address f the persn yu wish t call directly. 4. Enter Yur name. When yu jin the cnference, this name will be shwn in the rster n the left f the screen. (The rster shws the names f all participants, and appears in all Infinity Cnnect clients.) 5. Select Jin. 6. If the Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium is PIN-prtected, yu may be prmpted t select whether t jin as a hst r guest, r asked t enter an apprpriate hst r guest PIN. When yu have dne s, select Jin. 7. If prmpted, allw the brwser t use yur camera and micrphne. Fr Chrme and Opera users, the first time yu cnnect t a particular Cnferencing Nde r dmain yu may see a message saying that the site wants t use yur camera and micrphne. Select Allw. Fr Firefx users, yu must click n the icn at the tp left f the address bar and select the camera and micrphne t use and then Share Selected Devices. Fr Internet Explrer and Safari users, Adbe Flash Player will ask fr permissin t access yur camera and micrphne. 5 Using Infinity Cnnect Abut Infinity Cnnect desktp client Installing Infinity Cnnect desktp client T install the Infinity Cnnect desktp client, g t and dwnlad and install the apprpriate file fr yur OS: Windws: pexip-infinity-cnnect_windws-ia32_<release>.msi. Click n this file t install the Infinity Cnnect desktp client autmatically. During the installatin prcess the Infinity Cnnect icn will be added t the desktp, and an entry will be added t the Windws registry t allw links prefixed with pexip: t pen autmatically in the Infinity Cnnect desktp client. OS X: pexip-infinity-cnnect_sx-ia32_<release>.zip. Unzip this file and mve it t the desired flder. Linux 32-bit: pexip-infinity-cnnect_linux-ia32_<release>.tar.gz. Unzip this file and mve it t the desired flder. Linux 64-bit: pexip-infinity-cnnect_linux-x64_<release>.tar.gz. Unzip this file and mve it t the desired flder. Using Infinity Cnnect desktp client T make a call t a Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium, r t call anther persn directly, using Infinity Cnnect desktp client: 1. Open the client by clicking n the icn n yur desktp. The lgin screen will pen: 2. In the Jin bx, enter the alias f the Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium yu wish t jin, r the address f the persn yu wish t call directly. 3. Select Settings In the User name field, enter yur name. When yu jin the cnference, this name will be shwn in the rster n the left f the screen. (The rster shws the names f all participants, and appears in all Infinity Cnnect clients.) In the Vide surce and Audi surce fields, select the apprpriate camera and micrphne t use. 4. Select Back and then Jin. 5. If the Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium is PIN-prtected, yu will be prmpted t enter an apprpriate hst r guest PIN. Enter the PIN and select Jin. 6 Using Infinity Cnnect Using Infinity Cnnect cntrls While the cnference is in prgress yu can perfrm the fllwing actins: Select the micrphne and camera t use Chrme, Firefx and Opera 1. At the far right f the address bar (Chrme) r far left (Firefx and Opera), select. 2. Select the desired micrphne and camera frm the drp-dwn menus. Internet Explrer and Safari 1. Right-click n the vide windw and select Settings. 2. Click n the Micrphne and Camera tabs and select frm the drp-dwn menus: View the vide image full screen/exit fullscreen Stp/start sending yur audi t ther participants Stp/start sending yur vide t ther participants Share/stp sharing yur screen with all ther participants Stp/start viewing the vide f yurself being sent t ther participants Access the numeric keypad View a presentatin being shwn by anther participant Frm the tlbar at the tp f the windw, select Enable fullscreen r Disable fullscreen. Frm the tlbar at the tp f the windw, select Disable my micrphne r Enable my micrphne. Frm the tlbar at the tp f the windw, select Disable my camera r Enable my camera. (Available frm the Infinity Cnnect desktp client, and Chrme users wh have enabled screen sharing.) Frm the tlbar at the tp f the windw, select Present screen r Stp screen sharing. Frm the tlbar at the tp f the windw, select Hide selfview r Shw selfview. Frm the tlbar at the tp f the windw, select Keypad. When a participant starts a presentatin, yu will autmatically see the cntent they are sharing as yur main image, and the previus main image will reduce t a small vide windw shwing the presenter. Yu can tggle between viewing the presentatin and viewing the presenter by clicking n the small vide windw. View a presentatin in HD View a list f ther cnference participants When a participant is shwing a presentatin, yu can elect t receive this in HD. T d this, frm the rster, t the right f the participant's name, click Presenting. When using Infinity Cnnect, the left-hand side f the screen will display a list f all ther cnference participants. Yu can scrll thrugh this list, r use the search bx at the tp f the list, t view ther participants. 7 Using Infinity Cnnect Prevent/allw thers frm jining the cnference Add a participant t the cnference (Requires Hst privileges) Frm the tp left f the rster, select Cnference lcked r Cnference unlcked. The impact f lcking depends n whether r nt the Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium being used has a hst PIN. Fr mre infrmatin, see Lcking a cnference. (Requires Hst privileges) 1. Frm the tp right f the rster, select Add new participant. 2. At the prmpt, enter the address f the persn yu want t dial. 3. If yu want t use a prtcl ther than SIP (the default) select either H.323 r Lync. 4. Select OK. A call will be placed frm the Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium t the participant. If and when the participant answers the call they will jin the cnference and appear n the rster. (Requires Hst privileges) Frm the rster, t the right f the participant's name select Discnnect participant. (Available in Chrme nly) 1. Right-click the vide windw and select Shw cntrls. 2. Drag the slider n the right t adjust the vlume. (Available in Chrme nly) Right-click the vide windw and select Mute. Frm the tlbar, select Abut this app. Frm the tlbar, select Discnnect. Using Infinity Cnnect t share yur screen Yu can use Infinity Cnnect t share what's n yur laptp r PC screen with ther cnference participants, r while yu are in a pint-t-pint call. If yu are already using Infinity Cnnect as yur vide endpint fr the call, yu can share yur cmputer screen simply by clicking the icn. But even if yu are cnnected using anther vide endpint, yu can pen and use Infinity Cnnect just t share yur screen - fr example, if yu have jined the cnference frm a meeting rm with a dedicated endpint, and yu want t shw a presentatin frm yur laptp withut wrrying abut finding and cnnecting the crrect cables. The ability t share yur screen is supprted in: Infinity Cnnect desktp client Infinity Cnnect via Ggle Chrme (requires the installatin f a Chrme extensin). Screen sharing is nt currently supprted in ther brwsers Pexip AS Versin 8.a December 2014 Page 7 f 18

8 Using Infinity Cnnect Using Infinity Cnnect just t share yur screen If yu are in a Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium using an endpint ther than Infinity Cnnect and yu want t share yur cmputer screen: 1. Open Infinity Cnnect via Chrme and enter the details f the Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium yu wish t jin. 2. While yu are still in the lgin screen, pen the Advanced sectin and under Call type select Present screen nly. 3. Select Jin. 4. If this is the first time that yu have used Infinity Cnnect via Chrme t share yur screen frm a cnference hsted at this dmain, a cnfirmatin windw will appear: Select OK t cnfirm that yu want t share yur screen. Nte that in Present screen nly mde, if yu want t subsequently present a different screen r windw frm the ne that yu riginally selected, yu have t discnnect the call and then rejin the call (remembering t select Present screen nly again) and select the screen yu nw want t share Pexip AS Versin 8.a December 2014 Page 8 f 18

9 Using Infinity Cnnect Enabling screen sharing in Chrme Befre yu can use Infinity Cnnect via Ggle Chrme t share yur cmputer screen with ther cnference participants, yu must install the Pexip Screensharing Extensin (screensharing is nt currently available frm any ther brwser). T dwnlad the extensin: 1. G t and click n the link prvided there. This will take yu t the Pexip Screensharing Extensin n the Chrme web stre. 2. Dwnlad the extensin by clicking n the buttn at the tp right f the page. The fllwing cnfirmatin will appear: 3. Select Add. Yu are nw ready t share yur screen. Managing the Pexip Screensharing Extensin The Pexip Screensharing Extensin maintains a list f all f the dmains (r websites) that yu have allwed t use the extensin. T remve dmains frm this list: 1. G t chrme://extensins (type this in t yur Chrme brwser's address bar). 2. Select Optins under the Pexip Screensharing Extensin. 3. Select X by any dmain yu want t remve. If yu subsequently attempt t share yur cmputer screen while participating in a cnference hsted at a dmain that yu have remved, yu will nce again be asked t allw the Pexip Screensharing Extensin t share yur screen Pexip AS Versin 8.a December 2014 Page 9 f 18

10 Using the Pexip Mbile App Using the Pexip Mbile App Abut the Pexip Mbile App Overview The Pexip Mbile App fr ios and Andrid prvides cnference participants with a cnsistent interface frm which they can cntrl cnferences and view presentatins, all frm their wn persnal device. Frm the Pexip Mbile App all cnference participants can: See a list f which participants are currently "n stage" (i.e. whse images are being displayed t ther participants), and their psitin (main vide r thumbnail). See a list f all the participants n the call - useful when there are mre participants than can be shwn in the thumbnails alng the bttm f the screen. View the presentatin n their persnal device. Vide participants can elect t use their vide endpint just fr viewing ther participants, essentially prviding them with a dual-screen vide system. Audi-nly participants will be able t view the presentatin n their persnal device, enhancing their cnference experience. Decide where they want t view the presentatin: n their mbile device, n the vide endpint, r bth. Zm in n the presentatin n their device, allwing them t see details that wuld therwise nt be visible frm a distance n the screen. In additin, hst participants can: Invite new participants t jin the cnference. Mute and unmute participants. Discnnect participants. Pexip fr SECTOR Netwrk Special versins f the Pexip Mbile App, called Pexip fr SECTOR Netwrk, are als available fr ios and Andrid. These versins are fr use in enterprises that require all mbile apps t wrk with management slutins based n OpenPeak's ADAM platfrm, and include additinal security features, functinality, and IT management capabilities. 11 Using the Pexip Mbile App Installing the Pexip Mbile App Pexip Mbile App fr ios Versin 1.1 f the Pexip Mbile App fr ios is cmpatible with any ios device running ios 7.x r 8.x, and is ptimized fr iphne 5. An earlier versin (1.0.3) f the Pexip Mbile App is available fr devices running earlier ios versins (ios 5.1 t ios 6.x). The Pexip Mbile App fr ios is available fr free frm the Apple Stre at Fllw the instructins t dwnlad and install the Pexip Mbile App n yur device. Pexip Mbile App fr Andrid The Pexip Mbile App fr Andrid requires Andrid 4.0 r later. It is available fr free frm the Ggle Play stre at Fllw the instructins t dwnlad and install the Pexip Mbile App n yur device. When installing the Pexip Mbile App fr Andrid, it will request permissin t access the cntacts/calendar n yur device. Yu must accept this request t cntinue with the installatin. Pexip fr SECTOR Netwrk Special versins f the Pexip Mbile App, called Pexip fr SECTOR Netwrk, are als available fr ios and Andrid. Allwing access t yur Cntacts ios The first time yu use the Pexip Mbile App n an ios device, yu will be asked whether yu want t allw it t access yur cntacts: If yu select OK, yur cntacts will be accessed: t display participants' images and names (if they are ne f yur cntacts) when yu use the Pexip Mbile App t dial ut t anther participant frm a cnference. If yu select Dn't Allw, when yu attempt t add a participant yu will see a message: This app des nt have access t yur cntacts. If yu have previusly denied access t yur cntacts, yu can change this setting at a later time as fllws: 1. On yur ios device, g t Settings > Privacy > Cntacts. 2. Turn the setting fr pexip t ON. Andrid When using the Pexip Mbile App n an Andrid device, the app will have requested permissin t access the cntacts n yur device during the installatin prcess Pexip AS Versin 8.a December 2014 Page 12 f 18

13 Using the Pexip Mbile App Accessing the Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium T access a Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium frm yur mbile device, d ne f the fllwing frm the Pexip Mbile App main page: In the Enter Cnference URI field, enter the Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium alias and then select JOIN. T jin a Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium that yu've previusly jined, select the buttn t the right f the Enter Cnference URI field. Frm the list that appears, select the alias f the Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium yu wish t jin. Entering the cnference PIN Sme Virtual Meeting Rms and Virtual Auditriums are PIN-prtected: Yu must enter the cnference PIN befre yu can access the cnference. If yu d nt knw the PIN, cntact the meeting rganizer Pexip AS Versin 8.a December 2014 Page 13 f 18

14 Using the Pexip Mbile App Precnfiguring a dmain If yu frequently use Virtual Meeting Rms and Virtual Auditriums that have aliases with the same dmain, yu can cnfigure the Pexip Mbile App s that yu nly need t enter the initial part f the alias. Fr example, if yu ften access Virtual Meeting Rms with the aliases meet.alice@example.cm, meet.bb@example.cm and meet.sales@example.cm, yu culd cnfigure the Pexip Mbile App with a Dmain f example.cm, s that yu nly need t enter meet.alice, meet.bb r meet.sales in the URI field in rder t jin the Virtual Meeting Rm. If yu have set up a precnfigured dmain, yu can still enter Virtual Meeting Rm and Virtual Auditrium aliases that use a different dmain. Just enter the full URI in the URI field - the precnfigured dmain will be ignred. T precnfigure the Pexip Mbile App with a dmain: 1. Select Cnnectin settings. 2. In the Dmain field, enter the dmain. 3. Select Dne Pexip AS Versin 8.a December 2014 Page 14 f 18

15 Using the Pexip Mbile App Viewing the list f cnference participants The Participants n stage sectin lists all the participants whse images are being shwn either in the main image r in live thumbnail images. The Participants sectin underneath lists all participants, including the Participants n stage. They appear in the rder in which they jined, with the mst recent at the tp f the list. T search fr a particular participant, select the icn n the right f the screen. Viewing a presentatin n yur device When ne f the cnference participants is shwing a presentatin (als knwn as sharing their screen): The icn appears at the tp right f the Pexip Mbile App screen. The fllwing message appears: T view the presentatin n yur mbile device, select View. If yu select N, the presentatin will nt be shwn n yur mbile device. Hwever, yu can still view the presentatin frm yur device later by selecting the icn. While viewing the presentatin, yu can use standard gestures t zm in and ut f the presentatin. View the presentatin n bth yur mbile device and yur vide endpint. Viewing the presentatin n yur mbile device nly T view the presentatin n yur device, and shw the cnference participants n yur vide endpint: 1. Frm the list f participants, select yur endpint. 2. Turn View presentatin n endpint t Off. 3. If the presentatin is nt already shwing n yur device, select the icn. Viewing the presentatin n yur mbile device and vide endpint T view the presentatin n yur mbile device and yur vide endpint at the same time: 1. Frm the list f participants, select yur endpint. 2. 17 Using the Pexip Mbile App Adding a participant t the cnference In rder t use this feature: Yu must have hst privileges. In sme cases, yur administratr must have enabled this functinality. Yu must have agreed t allw the Pexip Mbile App t access yur cntacts. Yu can use the Pexip Mbile App t dial ut t participants frm the Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium yu are in. When yu use this feature, a call is placed t the participant and if and when they answer the call, they will jin the cnference as a guest participant (r as a nrmal participant, if the cnference has n PIN). Participants jining the cnference in this way will nt g thrugh the IVR screen and will nt have t enter a PIN. T dial ut t a participant using the Pexip Mbile App: 1. Frm within a Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium, select the icn n the left f the Participants sectin. The fllwing screen will appear: 2. Select frm the available ptins: t call sme already in yur Cntacts, select Cntacts t call smene yu have recently called frm the Pexip App, select Recents t call anyne else, select Enter Manually and enter the number r URI t dial. 3. On the cnfirmatin screen, select Dial.. A call will be placed frm the Virtual Meeting Rm r Virtual Auditrium t the participant. If and when the participant answers the call they will jin the cnference and appear n the rster Pexip AS Versin 8.a December 2014 Page 17 f 18

18 Using the Pexip Mbile App Muting a participant Yu must have hst privileges t use this feature. Yu can mute a participant's audi using the Pexip Mbile App. Nte that this will nt mute the participant's speakers, s they will still hear all ther unmuted participants, but what they say will nt be heard.
