5 HL-101 Computer Network Fundamentals You are familiar with operating computers in a Windows environment. You have knowledge of data communication network fundamentals. You have a basic understanding of TCP/IP. Upon completion of this course, you should be able to describe computer networks, identify different types of computer networks and main concepts; understand the rationale behind the layered hierarchical network design; discuss the major technologies and protocols at the data link layer, network layer, and transport layer.
