4 2 System descriptin 2.1 General SafeDispatch is the essential data applicatin fr dispatchers and radi peratrs wanting t take cntrl f their mbile assets. With the flexibility, cntrl and perfrmance f SafeDispatch, the users nw have the mst cst effective, prfessinal TETRA slutin right at their fingertips. With imprtant features t accmmdate nearly any fleet management challenge, SafeDispatch interfaces with TETRA prfessinal radi systems seamlessly while prviding the tls needed t mst effectively mnitr the emplyees, vehicles and materials, equipped with TETRA radis having GPS functinality. SafeMbile has tailred features f the SafeDispatch infrmatin platfrm t enhance cmmunicatin capabilities, data analysis and dcumentatin, enabling t cntrl the custmer s fleet in a user friendly, functinal design. All elements are easy t use and accessible via any Internet cnnected cmputer in the wrld. 2.2 System cmpnents The system is cmpsed f tw distinct parts. One is the SafeDispatch system that has the SafeMbile applicatins that are needed (Dispatcher, Gateway, Applicatin Server, Updater and Subscriber and User Manager). All f these applicatins cmmunicate thrugh a messagebus (UDP Multicast). Multicast surce address is The secnd system is the TETRA system. This system must cntain a Shrt Data Ruter (SDR) alng with the subscriber radis and repeaters. The SafeDispatch system uses a SDR Gateway Applicatin t cnnect t the TETRA system (SDR). The SDR Gateway Applicatin pens as a LAN (TCP/IP n prt 6006) cnnectin. After the cnnectin is established, a registratin message is sent t the SDR. This message cntains the ISSI and the passwrd that is set t allw the TETRA system t be used by the SDR gateway. NOTE: This infrmatin must be the same in bth systems. In the next sectin it will be describe hw t setup the SDR Gateway Applicatin using the ISSI and the passwrd that is setup in the TETRA system. After the registratin is cmpleted with success, the TETRA subscriber will begin t send data t the SDR Gateway Applicatin. The Gateway will decde the data and send it t Dispatcher/Applicatin server. 5 2.3 Cmputer Netwrk Cards and rutes Desired cnnectivity t the SDR is thrugh a brder ruter, where the IP address is accessible t SafeDispatch Server PC in the lcal netwrk. SafeDispatch can use tw netwrk cards n the server PC, ne fr lcal netwrk cnnectivity and ne fr direct cnnectin t SDR. 6 3 System cnfiguratin 3.1 Gateway registratin Open Administrative Mdule G t Gateways tab Add new Gateway sectin Enter the IP Address f the Cmputer running the Gateway Applicatin Sftware Check the Active checkbx The Available text bx shuld display hw many licenses yu have available Click Add Add new Radi Gateway sectin Enter the SDR IP Address f the TETRA SDR System Enter the Gateway ISSI, this is the ID that is cnfigured in the TETRA SDR system fr the third party applicatin t use Enter the Gateway Name if yu run nly ne Gateway, enter Tetra SDR if yu run mre then ne Gateway, there a unique name Click Add Click Save Settings Figure 1 - Administrative Mdule - Gateway Registratin Cpyright SafeMbile All rights reserved 5

7 3.2 SDR gateway cnfiguratin Ensure AppServer applicatin is running n the Server PC Open SDR Gateway frm the Desktp shrtcut (default installatin lcatin is C:\Prgram Files (x86)\safembile\tetra_sdr\ SDRgateway.exe) Figure 2 - SDR Gateway - Status tab Status windw will display cnnectin status, recnnect messages and pll requests In the event the SDR is radi-silent (n radis sending data), the gateway will refresh its cnnectin with the SDR every 10 minutes Select SDR Settings tab Figure 3 - SDR Gateway - Settings tab Cpyright SafeMbile All rights reserved 6

8 Enter the SDR Passwrd, the passwrd that is set in the TETRA SDR System fr third party applicatins The passwrd must be in an IP Address frmat (default is ) Obtain the passwrd via Telnet cnfiguratin f the SDR (including fr Tetra Express systems) SDR IP is read frm the Database, previusly cnfigured in Administrative Mdule Gateways registratin Enter the SDR Prt, this is a TCP Prt and must be expsed in rder t cmmunicate ensure n firewall r brder ruter is blcking this prt number yu shuld be able t test the cmmunicatin using Telnet if required Psitin errr tlerance is a parameter send by Mtrla TETRA subscriber radis, based n this value, GPS psitins will be cnsidered valid, r nt, and inserted in the database Aut cnnect checkbx must be checked t ensure the applicatin will cnnect when pened Message Bus tab expses the Multicast IP and Prt Number used fr Inter Prcess Cmmunicatin, yu shuld nt be required t change this values Figure 4 - SDR Gateway - Message Bus tab Clicking Save buttn will prmpt yu t restart the gateway applicatin in rder fr the changes t take place Figure 5 - SDR Gateway - Save prmpt Cpyright SafeMbile All rights reserved 7

9 3.3 Finding / cnfiguring the ISSI and Passwrd f the SDR The SDR must be cnfigured t allw a third party applicatin t cnnect t it. An ISSI and Passwrd shuld be assigned fr the SDR Gateway t be able t cnnect. 1. Cnnect t SDR by either using the lcal terminal cnnected t switch r Service PC cnnected t switch's "Lcl Srvc" prt and using Telnet 2. Type cnfig and press enter 3. 13 Lcatin update time and all the ther features are arranged while the radi is being prgrammed. T prgram this details: 1. Cnnect the radi t PC 2. Open Tetra CPS radi prgramming sftware 3. 15 4 System features Features that are currently supprted: 4.1 ARS SafeDispatch dispatcher applicatin will receive an message frm the TETRA subscriber every time the unit is ON/OFF. This requires LIP Trigger Pwer Up and Pwer Dwn 4.2 GPS TETRA subscriber will send a GPS message fallwing the rules that are cnfigured in the cdeplug.
