1 Squire Technologies SVI_STP Signal Transfer Point Date, Audience details
SVI_STP Overview The SVI_STP provides a comprehensive and flexible SS7 STP solution for transporting SS7 signalling over traditional TDM based networks and next generation IP based networks. 2 The SVI_STP s support for any-to-any interworking between traditional and next generation networks allows both fixed line and mobile networks to take advantage of the cost saving and next generation service offerings of IP networks
Benefits Cost Saving Deploying the SVI-STP allows operators to take control of their SS7 Networks by consolidating traffic and providing local routing reducing SS7 interconnect and infrastructure costs The SVI-STP allows operators to create private SS7 networks issuing their own Virtual Point Codes instead of purchasing expensive SS7 Point Codes from incumbent carriers. This also facilitates rapid network deployment and expansion. 3 Revenue Generating Deployment of the SVI-STP allows operators to deploy their own LNP and CNAM services. This provides immediate cost benefits as operators no longer need to purchase these services from 3rd party providers and also allows operators to deploy their own revenue generating LNP/CNAM services to other operators.
Benefits Future Proofing Full support for next generation IP based networks allowing operators to take advantage of the inherent costs savings and next generation services provided over IP networks while maintaining and bridging to incumbent TDM networks 4 Scalable The SVI-STP can be scaled from an entry level deployment to large scale with modular license and hardware upgrades to match the exact growth requirements of the operator.
Product Overview The SVI_STP combines traditional SS7 STP functionality with next generation IP SIGTRAN support to deliver a comprehensive carrier grade STP solution. Product Range SVI_STP1000 SVI_STP8000 Support for Next Gen IP Networks SIGTRAN Support Private SS7 Networks Virtual Point Codes CNAM/ LNP Cost saving/ revenue generating Intelligent Routing/ Gateway Screening MTPL3, SCCP, Global Title Translation Flexible MSU record capture MSU, CDRs, SQL Interfaces and Protocols Physical interconnect, MTP Configuration Performance Benchmarks MSUs, BHCA OA&M SVI_MS web based GUI Security Redundancy STP1000 STP8000 5
SVI_STP 1000 Overview SVI_STP The compact 1U chassis is typically deployed by smaller operators looking for a robust entry level STP solution. Compact STP SS7 signalling solution Support for E1/T1/J1 interfaces Scales to 64 x SS7 Signalling links M2PA Links HSL (High Speed Links) support Carrier Grade 1+1 Redundancy support PCI Form Factor
SVI_STP 8000 Overview SVI_MG The performance platform for future scalability supplied in a blade server architecture for high availability. High Performance SS7 STP signalling solutions Support for E1/T1/J1 OC-3/STM-1/ DS3 interfaces Scales to 256 x SS7 signalling links M2PA Links HSL (High Speed Links) support PCR (Preventative Cyclic Transmission) Support Carrier Grade 1+1 Redundancy Support cpci Form Factor
Next Generation IP Networks MSC/ SSP STP STP SIGTRAN STP SIGTRAN IP Network STP SS7 8 Support for transition to an all IP network Any-to-any TDM to IP inter-working SS7 linksets can be a combination of SS7 TDM and IP links for maximum flexibility Offload traffic onto cost-efficient IP networks conserving bandwidth on expensive TDM networks Full support for IETF s SIGTRAN standards M2UA, M2PA, M3UA, SUA
Private SS7 Networks STP B Link 90 E1s 90 E1s 90 E1s C Link D Link B Link STP Deploying the SVI_STP into an existing SS7 network allows an operator to generate its own Virtual Point Codes for transparent single carrier PC interconnect and provision of private SS7 networks providing :- 9 A Link C Link A Link Costs savings by not having to purchase expensive incumbent carriers Point Codes 90 E1s 90 E1s 90 E1s 90 E1s 90 E1s 90 E1s 90 E1s 90 E1s 90 E1s PCA PCB PCC Accelerated network deployment the provision of additional Point Codes and inter-op testing is managed by the operator Virtual Point Codes
CNAM/ LNP Revenue Generation LNP/ CNAM DB Provider TCAP send TCAP receive Switch IAM IAM/ TCAP Pre-dipped Carrier 10 With a centralized STP controlling the signaling, inline dipping of AIN services enables previously unsupported switches to access CNAM and LNP dips directly from the providers network at significantly reduced rates. Managing a single SS7 interconnect enables the provision of inline dipping with obvious cost savings as well accelerating future network development.
PSTN Layer 4 Protocols Offering routing at SS7 MTP/SCCP, allowing the transparent transport of higher layer SS7 ISUP, MAP and TCAP traffic.
