1 Configuring WO Automation for Radio for TuneGenie As WO Automation for Radio events fire, XML data is published through Device Server through a configured TCP port. First create the Device Server TCP Port, then the XML Event Driver and finally establish the Event Rule Set Mapping to specify when WO Automation for Radio should publish XML data to the specified port. Device Server will feed Now Playing data to the TuneGenie server through an IP connection. This may require your IT department to modify an existing firewall. Adding Ports Device Server communicates with TuneGenie over a TCP connection. This connection must be defined as a Port in the Device Server configuration. 1 Click the Devices link on the left of the Central Server Configuration Web UI.

2 2 Click on the Ports tab and click the Add TCP Port link. 3 Enter the details required to define the Port and click Add to add the Port. Field Device Server Name Host Name Description From the drop-down box, select the Device Server name. Type a friendly name for the device on the TCP Port. For example, TuneGenie. 3 Port Number Connection Timeout Write Only Type to specify the port number. Type 5000 to specify the duration in milliseconds the Device Server will attempt to connect to the TuneGenie server before timing out. Select true from the drop-down list. Creating the XML Event Driver An Event Driver tells WO Automation for Radio what data to publish and when to transmit that data. 1 Click the Now Playing link on the left of the Central Server Configuration Web UI. 4 2 Click on the Event Driver tab. Click the link to Add New Event Driver. 3 Type a friendly and descriptive name for the Event Driver in the Driver Name field. For example, TuneGenie. Configuring WO Automation for Radio for TuneGenie 4

5 4 Define the Event that will trigger the export. Field Event Description Includes three components: Export trigger Select Start Play from the drop-down list. Output Media type WO Automation for Radio can send metadata for events that play on All Output channels, or only specific channels. Typically you would select All Outputs from the drop-down list. If you decide to send metadata only from specific channels, you will have to create an Event Driver and an Event Rule Set Mapping for each channel. Select Unspecified from the drop-down list to allow WO Automation for Radio to send metadata for all events. Export Type Include Hotkeys Delay PS Mode Refresh Rate Select XML from the drop-down list. By default, data associated with events played from Hotkeys is not exported. Checking this option overrides that default behavior, including in the export Hotkey data associated with the configured output channel. In most cases, you will not enable this option. Data exports can be delayed to synchronize data export with audio delays. Click the checkbox to enable the Delay option, and set the delay value (in half-second intervals from.5 to 20 seconds). 6 Establishing Event Rule Set Mappings Event Rule Set Mappings direct metadata exports to a selected destination when an Event Driver triggers an export. 1 Click on the Event Rule Set Mappings tab. 7 Option Device Server Radio Station Event Driver Mapping Type Radio Automation System is: Remote Port Description From the drop-down list, select the Device Server that will feed the XML data to TuneGenie. From the drop-down list, select which WO Automation for Radio Radio Station will be providing the output data. From the drop-down list, select the Event Driver to associate with this destination. If you followed our recommendation, this would be TuneGenie. Select TCP Port from the drop-down list. Select Client from the drop-down list, instructing WO Automation for Radio to initiate the connection using a specified TCP Port. From the drop-down list, select the Remote Port configured in Device Server to be used for communication with the TuneGenie server.
