3 1 Overview 1.1 Purpose This document specifies the conformance of the Interface Version 2.0 with [DICOM] Version MWS DICOM Push acts as a bridge between the MediaWorkStation (MWS) documentation software and a DICOM Server. After acquiring images with the MWS software the MWS DICOM Push interface converts those images into DCM format and sends them to a PACS image archive. 10 5 Media Interchange Media Interchange is not supported. 6 Support of extended character sets In addition to the default character repertoire, the following Specific Character Set is supported: ISO_IR 192 (UTF8) 7 Security 7.1 Security Profiles Security Profiles are not supported. 7.2 ASSOCIATION LEVEL SECURITY The MWS DICOM Push Interface does not accept any incoming Associations. It opens an Association only to the AE configured in the MWS DICOM Push program window or the configuration file "MWS_DICOMPush.ini". 7.3 APPLICATION LEVEL SECURITY DICOM configuration is stored in a human readable format on the client computer.
