1 CS141 Programming Assignment #4 Due Sunday, Mar 3rd. 1) Create a class called Invoice that a hardware store might use to represent an invoice for an item sold at the store. An Invoice should include four pieces of information as instance variables a part number (type String), a part description (type String), a quantity of the item being purchased (type int) and a price per item (double). Provide a set and a get method for each instance variable. In addition, provide a method named getinvoiceamount that calculates the invoice amount (i.e., multiplies the quantity by the price per item), then returns the amount as a double value. -Write a test application named InvoiceTest that demonstrates class Invoice s capabilities. //Assignment# 4 Question #1 /* This program build an invoice resenting an item in a Hardware store In addition, it provide a method named getinvoiceamount that calculates the invoice amount*/ class Invoice private String PartNumber; private String Description; private int Quantity; private double Price; public Invoice(String a, String b, int c, double d ) PartNumber = a; Description = b; Quantity = c; Price = d; // set PartNumber public void setpartnumber(string x) PartNumber = x; // set Description public void setdescription(string y) Description = y; // set Quantity public void setquantity(int z) Quantity = z; // set Price public void setprice(double w) Price = w; // get PartNumber public String getpartnumber() return PartNumber ; // get Description public String getdescription() return Description; // get Quantity public int getquantity()
2 return Quantity; // get Price public double getprice() return Price; // method to calculate the invoice amount public double getinvoiceamount() return Quantity*Price; public class InvoiceTest public static void main(string[] args) Invoice A1 = new Invoice("hp2225","Printer",2,100.5); System.out.println("Invoice Informaition\n"); System.out.println("\n\n Updated Invoice Informaition\n"); //updating PartNumber and Description A1.setPartNumber("hp34500"); A1.setDescription("Scanner"); //updating PartNumber and Description A1.setQuantity(5); A1.setPrice(180.0); System.out.println("\n\n Updated Invoice Informaition\n"); 2) Create a class called Employee that includes three instance variables a first name (type String), a last name (type String) and a monthly salary (double). Provide a set and a get method for each instance variable. -Write a test application named EmployeeTestthat demonstrates class Employee s capabilities. Create two Employee objects and display each object s yearly salary. Then give each Employee a 10% raise and display each Employee s yearly salary again. //Assignment# 4 Question #2 //This program displays an employee information, in addition it raises the salaries.
3 class Employee private String FirstName; private String LastName; private double MonthlySalary; public Employee(String a, String b, double c) FirstName = a; LastName = b; MonthlySalary = c; // method to set FirstName public void setfirstname(string a) FirstName= a; // method to set LastName public void setlastname(string b) LastName= b; // method to set salary public void setsalary(double x) MonthlySalary = x; // method to get FirstName public String getfirstname() return FirstName; // method to get LastName public String getlastname() return LastName; // method to get salary public double getsalary() return MonthlySalary; // print information public void displayinfo() System.out.printf("Name: %s %s ; Yearly Salary: %.2f\n", FirstName,LastName,MonthlySalary *12); public class EmployeeTest public static void main(string[] args) double a; // create object for an employee Employee Emp1 = new Employee("Ali","Mohhamad",1500); Employee Emp2 = new Employee("Maya","Naser",1650); // display info Emp1.displayInfo(); Emp2.displayInfo(); System.out.println("\n Increasing employee salaries by 10%"); // raise salary a=emp1.getsalary() + Emp1.getSalary()*.1; Emp1.setSalary(a); a=emp2.getsalary() + Emp2.getSalary()*.1; Emp2.setSalary(a); // display info after raising salaries Emp1.displayInfo(); Emp2.displayInfo();
4 3) Create a class called Date that includes three instance variables a month (type int), a day (type int) and a year (type int). Assumes that the values provided are correct. Provide a set and a get method for each instance variable. Provide a method displaydate that displays the month, day and year separated by forward slashes.)/( -Write a test application named DateTest that demonstrates class Date s capabilities. //Assignment# 4 Question #3 //This program displays date class Date private int month; private int day; private int year; public Date(int a,int b,int c) month = a; day = b; year = c; // methods to set the date public void setmonth(int x) month = x; public void setday(int y) day = y; public void setyear(int z) year = z; // methods to get the date public int getmonth() return month; public int getday() return day; public int getyear() return year; // display public void displaydate() System.out.printf("%d/%d/%d\n", getmonth(),getday(),getyear()); public class DateTest public static void main(string[] args) // create object Date today = new Date(2,28,2013); today.displaydate();
