The Micrsft SQL Server JDBC driver des nt cme with the default installatin. Dwnlad the JDBC driver versin 1.1 (sqljdbc.jar) frm: Then cpy the jar file t the installatin lib directry. Java Develpment Kit JDK 1.5.0_xx where xx represents update 11 r abve Micrsft Internet Explrer 6 r higher, with the latest patches. 3 Installing Oracle Strategic Operatinal Planning as an NT Service Installing Oracle Strategic Operatinal Planning with Prvided Samples Imprtant: Befre installing Oracle Strategic Operatinal Planning, ensure that yur server machine meets the minimum hardware and sftware prerequisites. Installing Oracle Strategic Operatinal Planning n a Server Machine T install Oracle Strategic Operatinal Planning n a server machine: 1. On the server machine, create a directry where the applicatin will be installed. Fr example, c:\racle_sp 2. Open a DOS cmmand prmpt windw and set system envirnment variables as fllws: a. Select Run frm the Windws Start menu. b. In the Open text field, enter cmd and click OK. c. At the cmmand prmpt, enter: set JDK150ROOT=c:\jdk_rt where c:\jdk_rt is the directry where JDK 1.5.0_xx is installed. Fr example, c:\j2sdk1.5.0_xx Yu can als create a batch file cntaining the abve cmmand t use when setting the envirnment variable. 5. Set Oracle Strategic Operatinal Planning prperties as fllws: Using a text editr, pen: %INSTALL_ROOT%\custm\cnfig\site.prperties where %INSTALL_ROOT% is the Oracle Strategic Operatinal Planning installatin directry. Fr example, c:\racle_sp. In site.prperties, add r mdify the fllwing parameter values t crrespnd with yur database cnfiguratin. It can be any cmbinatins f numbers, letters, and special characters. Save the changes t site.prperties. 6. In the same DOS cmmand prmpt windw, change t the \bin directry in the Oracle Strategic Operatinal Planning installatin directry, reset the Oracle Strategic Operatinal Planning database, and start the server. T d this, enter: where %INSTALL_ROOT% is the Oracle Strategic Operatinal Planning installatin directry. 4

5 isreset Enter a license key cde when prmpted. The Administratr accunt is created after isreset. By default, the administratr username is admin and the passwrd is passwrd. startserver Wait until isreset finishes and the cmmand prmpt returns befre yu run startserver. 7. After the server starts, pen a secnd DOS cmmand prmpt windw and set the same system envirnment variable that yu set earlier. If yu created a batch cmmand file cntaining the necessary cmmand line, rerun the batch cmmand in the secnd windw. 8. In the secnd DOS cmmand prmpt windw, navigate t the \bin directry in the Oracle Strategic Operatinal Planning installatin directry, and run initializesystem t lad data int the Oracle Strategic Operatinal Planning database. T d this, enter the fllwing cmmands in the secnd windw: where %INSTALL_ROOT% is the Oracle Strategic Operatinal Planning installatin directry initializesystem u admin p passwrd -u defines the username f the administratr -p defines the administratr passwrd The Oracle Strategic Operatinal Planning server is nw running in the first cmmand prmpt windw.
