4 ORACLE CPQ CLOUD Oracle Cnfigure, Price, and Qute (CPQ) Clud enables cmpanies t streamline the entire pprtunity-t-qute-t-rder prcess, including prduct selectin, cnfiguratin, pricing, quting, rdering, and apprval wrkflws. CPQ Clud prvides a flexible, scalable, enterprise-ready slutin ideal fr cmpanies f all sizes that sell prducts and services acrss direct, indirect, and e-cmmerce sales channels. MODERN SELLING EXPERIENCE Leverage the rich interface and interactive capabilities available in CPQ Clud 2017 R1 t prvide a smarter selling experience using the fllwing new features. Deal Negtiatin REST API Services DEAL NEGOTIATION The CPQ Clud 2017 R1 Deal Negtiatin feature guides CPQ Clud sales representatives in achieving ptimal prices and discunts fr their custmers using Deal Negtiatin metrics and a Deal Cmparisn analytic available fr bth Transactins and Transactin Lines. Thrugh Deal Negtiatin metrics such as Price Scres and Last Price Paid, sales representatives can better negtiate prices t drive prfitability. Administratrs can select predefined calculatins fr price scring, with results displayed graphically t sales representatives in the Transactin and Transactin Line UIs. T further supprt Deal Negtiatin, sales representatives can use a Deal Cmparisn analytic t display key price-related data fr cmparable Transactins and Transactin Lines. REST API SERVICES In 2017 R1, CPQ Clud cntinues its effrt t expse bjects thrugh REST API services empwering custmers t extend the capabilities f their CPQ Clud implementatins. In 2017 R1, CPQ intrduces Versin 4 (v4) REST API services, and delivers new endpints fr Transactin and Asset REST APIs. v4 REST API services deliver several enhancements t access Cmmerce attributes and ptimize returned respnse data. New Transactin REST API endpints prvide favrites and navigatin supprt. New Asset REST API endpints expand supprt fr Subscriptin Ordering integratins by prviding access t cnfiguratin and subscriptin services. 4

5 ENTERPRISE PLATFORM Upgrade the functinality f CPQ Clud's pen and flexible platfrm t create value and drive results using the fllwing CPQ Clud 2017 R1 enhancements. BOM Mapping Enhancements Package Lifecycle Management Migratin Center Enhancements Perfrmance Management Enhancements DataCube Enhancements Data Clumn Enhancements BOM MAPPING ENHANCEMENTS BOM Mapping Rules prvide the ability t map multi-level Bills f Material t CPQ Clud cnfiguratin variables and values and send a cmplex BOM frm CPQ Clud cnfiguratin t Cmmerce and dwnstream Enterprise Resurce Planning (ERP) systems. CPQ Clud 2016 R1 intrduced the ability t define any child item in the BOM hierarchy as a cnfigurable part. As part f cntinuus imprvements t BOM Mapping, administratrs can map any mdel frm the Catalg definitin as a child item in the BOM hierarchy. In prir releases, administratrs culd nly map part item types t a child item. Als available in 2017 R1 is the ability t view BOM Mapping Rule items, such as Sales BOM items, in cnfiguratin. The list f BOM items shwn in cnfiguratin crrespnds t the line items created in a Transactin using BOM Mapping Rules. PACKAGE LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT Administratrs cntinue t have the ability t create packages f functinality t migrate acrss envirnments and can manage the lifecycle f these packages by deplying r updating a specific package. CPQ Clud 2017 R1 further supprts Package Lifecycle Management by prviding a unique namespace t envirnments assciated with custmers, such as implementatin partners, wh want t create and prtect their intellectual prperty. The fllwing functinality is available in CPQ Clud 2017 R1: Lck util library functins t hide the implementatin details (e.g. BML) frm ther administratrs. This functinality nly applies t util library functins and nt Cmmerce library functins. Create an verride functin t make a cpy and custmize an riginal, unlcked, and namespaced util library functin. Administratrs can migrate verride functins acrss sites. Migrate verride functins alng with their riginal namespaced util library functins. CPQ Clud maintains custmizatins t the riginal namespaced util library functins thrughut the migratin flw. 5

6 MIGRATION CENTER ENHANCEMENTS CPQ Clud 2017 R1 intrduces the use f natural keys in Cnfiguratin, Cmmerce, Library Functins, and Dcument Engine. Natural keys imprve matching in the Migratin Center and can take int accunt nn-linear migratin paths, such as thse required fr htfixes directly in prductin. Crssprcess migratin is an additinal Migratin Center enhancement that allws administratrs t migrate packages when the surce and target sites have different base Cmmerce prcesses. The crss-prcess migratin enhancement is nly available fr packages. PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT ENHANCEMENTS CPQ Clud 2017 R1 prvides a cllectin f new enhancements t increase CPQ Clud site stability and perfrmance. T keep envirnments running during extremely high lads, CPQ Clud may temprarily restrict new user sessins. The fllwing enhancements are als available in CPQ Clud 2017 R1: Set a timeut perid t define hw lng an integratin XSL r middleware integratin runs befre timing ut. Allw an actin t execute when an integratin XSL r middleware integratin times ut. This remves the risk f CPQ Clud waiting indefinitely fr a respnse. Use a timeut parameter t specify hw lng URL Access functins run befre timing ut. Experience imprved site perfrmance thrugh restrictins that prevent line item lping when using an Advanced functin in new sub dcument attribute defaults. Similarly, administratrs cannt create line item lps in sub dcument Cmmerce rules. DATA CUBE ENHANCEMENTS CPQ Clud 2017 R1 includes a Character Large Object (CLOB) cnfiguratin setting that allws administratrs t limit the number f DataCube clumns enabled fr a CLOB per prcess. In prir releases, DataCube clumns were limited t 4,000 characters. CPQ Clud 2017 R1 extends this capability by allwing DataCube clumns t exceed 4,000 bytes. Administratrs can exprt any type f Cmmerce attribute int a CLOB and preserve the entire cntent f the Cmmerce attribute. Additinal functinality available in 2017 R1 is the ability t filter the Transactins t include in a DataCube reprt. Administratrs can schedule mre than ne DataCube reprt with each reprt cntaining different data. Each DataCube reprt can have its wn scheduled time, reprting perid, exprt lcatin, CLOB attributes, and defined filter. 6

7 DATA COLUMN ENHANCEMENTS Data clumns allw administratrs t define the Cmmerce attributes that are accessible in CPQ Cmmerce Prcess Manager, Transactin Searches, Reprting, and DataCube reprts. CPQ Clud 2017 R1 extends the maximum number f data clumns definable by administratrs t 251 data clumns fr main dcument attributes and 400 data clumns fr sub dcument attributes. Sub dcument attributes refer nly t Cmmerce attributes and nt Catalg attributes. 7

8 INTEGRATED SUITE Leverage the pwer f CPQ Clud by integrating with ther sftware applicatins. CPQ Clud administratrs can use the fllwing CPQ Clud 2017 R1 pre-defined integratins ut-f-the-bx r enhance the prvided integratin patterns t build a strng Oracle Clud suite. Cmmerce Clud Integratin Enhancements Subscriptin Ordering Integratin Enhancements Integratin Clud Service Based Integratins COMMERCE CLOUD INTEGRATION ENHANCEMENTS The Cmmerce Clud integratin enhancements available in CPQ Clud 2017 R1 expand the functinality available in the 2016 R2 integratin by prviding supprt fr BOM Mapping Rules in the SOAP APIs and the Add t Cart actin. Administratrs can set up BOM Mapping Rules fr the prcess flws related t creating r recnfiguring a Transactin in CPQ Clud and can use the Add t Cart actin t add items t a Cmmerce Clud cart. Additinal 2017 R1 enhancements include the ability t add either a single cnfigured item r multiple cnfigured items t a CPQ Clud Transactin using a single API call frm Integratin Clud Service (ICS). The ICS integratin flws use this single API call t simplify the prcess used in the 2016 R2 integratin, which relied n multiple API calls t update a qute with ne r mre cnfigured items. SUBSCRIPTION ORDERING INTEGRATION ENHANCEMENTS The Subscriptin Ordering integratin intrduced in CPQ Clud 2016 R1 allws sales users t review, mdify, and terminate subscriptin r asset-based prducts delivered ver a perid-f-time. As part f cntinuing imprvements t the Subscriptin Ordering integratin, the fllwing enhancements are available t custmers wh integrate their Cmmerce Clud implementatin with Subscriptin Ordering: Create fllw-n r mdify rders t mdify assets created frm a Cmmerce Clud shpping cart Mdify r terminate assets stred in CPQ Clud using a REST API 8

9 INTEGRATION CLOUD SERVICE BASED INTEGRATIONS In 2017 R1, CPQ Clud delivers Oracle Integratin Clud Service (ICS) Adapter updates t prcess REST APIs in additin t the existing SOAP APIs. Custmers can nw build an ICS cnnectin that calls the desired CPQ REST API web service using CPQ as the target applicatin in the ICS integratin flw. Oracle ICS Release r abve is required fr REST API supprt in CPQ Clud Adapter. ICS will list available CPQ REST APIs when ICS is cnnected t a CPQ Clud REST catalg. After a REST API is selected, users can cnfigure peratins and map applicable parameters via the user interface. The CPQ Clud REST Catalg will list the web services, peratins, and parameters that are supprted in ICS. The ICS CPQ adapter nly supprts REST catalg services at versin v3 and abve. 9

10 SIMPLIFY Prvide a simple way fr administratrs and end users t leverage CPQ Clud by using the fllwing new 2017 R1 features and enhancements: Dcument Designer Enhancements Cncurrent Transactin Access DOCUMENT DESIGNER ENHANCEMENTS Dcument Designer is a drag-and drp tl fr creating and administering dcument templates. As part f cntinuing imprvements t Dcument Designer, several enhancements are available in CPQ Clud 2017 R1. RTE and HTML Attribute Enhancements Add inline references t RTE r HTML attributes in a Text element. Embed RTE and HTML attributes in a table cell r a Header and Fter layut. Cnditin and Lp Enhancements Use newly supprted string functins, date functins, and a between functin fr numbers in cnditins and lps. Als supprted are XSL variables in cnditin and lp filters. Cnvert a simple cnditin r lp t an advanced filter r lp that displays in XSL frmat. Date and Currency Frmat Enhancements Use new frmats fr date and currency, including different date and currency frmat ptins fr different languages. Make date and currency selectins at the text element and heading level. Table Enhancements Ensure tables fit within the margins f a dcument using an Autfit prperty that autmatically adjusts the width f tables t match the page width. View the sum f the width f table clumns and the crrespnding unit f measure using a Ttal Width prperty. Duble Click and Palette Enhancements Expand the Layuts panel r the Elements panel and duble click a layut r element t add it t the Layut Editr. Use a palette f ptins t add layuts and layut elements frm the palette t the Layut Editr. 10

11 CONCURRENT TRANSACTION ACCESS In CPQ Clud 2017 R1, administratrs can enable r disable Transactin lcking in a Cmmerce prcess. This feature is beneficial t CPQ Clud custmers wh currently have multiple users, such as sales representatives, wrking cncurrently n Transactins by perfrming actins such as adding different prducts t the same Transactin r updating different fields in the same Transactin. Lcking a Transactin fr editing prvides users with full cntrl f a Transactin and prevents cnflicting changes t the same Transactin. A Transactin is unlcked when the user wh lcked the Transactin perfrms an aut-unlck actin such as Apprve r Reject, lgs ut f CPQ Clud, r their CPQ Clud sessin times ut. Other users can unlck a Transactin by perfrming unlck actins such as Back r Refresh. In additin, users can include new special attributes (e.g. Lck Status, Lcked By, Date Lcked) in Transactin Manager search results. Als supprted is the ability t use REST API calls t lck r unlck a Transactin r perfrm web service actins n lcked Transactins when the request is frm a Web Services Only user
