3 Operating System Patch Requirements To ensure the stable performance of the PerformaSure Nexus and PerformaSure Agents, your operating system must have the minimum maintenance patches required to run J2SE applications. Patch requirements are available at the following URLs: AIX: AIX 5L 5.2 and 5.3 require patches to run JDK 1.3 and 1.4 VMs; see the URL listed above for the latest patch requirements. The AIX 5L 5.2 operating system requires additional patches: AIX 5.2: IY52141 SYSTEM CRASH CAUSED BY BPF Note: The perfagent.tools package from IBM must be installed so that PerformaSure can monitor system metrics on AIX. Without the libraries in this package, the PerformaSure System Agent will be unable to start. If you do not have perfagent.tools installed, you can get it from your AIX install media from IBM. HP-UX: Linux: Check for known problems in the release notes and check that the packages they mention are up to date. Solaris: Windows: Ensure the correct service pack is installed, and see the following URL: Supported Platforms for the Quest Management Server The table below shows the platforms on which you can run the Quest Management Server.
