1 Custmer Upgrade Checklist Getting Ready fr Yur Sabre Prfiles Upgrade Kicking Off the Prject Create a prfiles prject team within yur agency. Cnsider including peple wh can represent bth the business and technical bjectives f yur agency as it relates t custmer prfile management. Review the Sabre Prfiles Getting Started Guide lcated n the Sabre Prfiles prduct page n Agency eservices. This can be fund at Agency eservices>prducts>all Prducts>pull-dwn menu>sabre Prfiles>Supprt. Prject team members shuld attend the "Getting Started," "Migratin frm STARS t Prfiles," and "Advanced Admin Functins" classes. Training classes can be accessed n Agency eservices. By attending training early, the team will have the infrmatin needed t make key decisins that will affect yur agency, such as whether r nt t use Prfile Templates. A descriptin f all the training resurces available t yu can be fund at the end f this dcument. Please nte that several third parties require the use f Templates. If yu need t integrate with a third party that requires templates, it is strngly encuraged that smene frm yur agency attend the Advanced Admin Functins class. Yu can access live and recrded training classes n Agency eservices. Frm Agency eservices, access the Training Tpic Index, and then lk fr S, fr Sabre Prfiles, then click n the View/Enrll buttn. Cmplete the Migratin Planning Wrkbk. This wrkbk has been designed t guide yu thrugh the upgrade prcess. Yu can use this t dcument the tasks, wners, dependencies, and requirements fr the prject. It is a gd idea t stre it n a shared drive accessible by all members f the prject team. Yu can request this wrkbk frm yur Sabre Accunt Directr. 2 If yu use GetThere and manage yur wn GetThere prfile synch functinality, including PNR Editr Strings, make sure yu cmplete the Traveler Prfile Data Fields and GetThere Editr Strings tabs in the wrkbk. Yu will als need t review the dcumentatin available n the GetThere University website. If yu use GetThere but d nt manage yur wn prfile synch and PNR editr strings, yu will need t ask yur GetThere Site Manager t cmplete the Traveler Prfile Data Fields and GetThere Editr Strings tabs in the wrkbk. If yu use any 3rd party tls, make sure speak t the 3 rd party and request any dcumentatin that the vendr has created related t the Sabre Prfiles upgrade. Determine if there are nn-prject team members wh shuld attend training. Based n their rle at the agency, which training class shuld they take? Ntify these emplyees f the classes yu want them t attend. Cleaning up STARS Data Identify an wner and/r team respnsible fr reviewing and cleaning up yur STAR data befre it is migrated t Sabre Prfiles. Request a Data Quality Reprt (DQR) fr each PCC. Yu can request the reprt frm yur Sabre Accunt Directr. The reprt will help yu t identify prblem areas that may need cleanup prir t the upgrade. Fr example, it will shw yu where yu have expired credit card data. Request a Pre-Migratin Analysis (PMA) as an additinal way t cnsider what data may need t be cleaned up in yur existing STARS. The PMA is a full reprt f all STARs in the PCC, brken ut by line, t shw what type f prfile will be created fr each STAR. It s delivered as an Excel spreadsheet that can be filtered and srted if the custmer wants t lk fr specific lines f data. Yu can request the reprt frm yur Sabre Accunt Directr. Evaluate the data yu put int yur PNRs and the reasn why this data needs t be in the PNR. D yu want this data in the PNR mving frward? If yu have systems that lk fr data in the PNR, it culd be pssible fr thse systems t get the data directly frm the prfile using the Sabre Prfile web services, eliminating the need t have unnecessary data in the PNR. Cnsider testing Prfiles befre the cmplete agency migratin takes place. T d this, yu will need t clne sme f yur STAR data t a test PCC r t a new multiple PCC. If yu need assistance in clning the STAR data, yu can request a Data Merge frm yur Sabre Accunt Directr. Once yu have the PCC identified, and the data is clned, yu can request that Sabre Prfiles be activated nly in this designated PCC. 3 If yu wish t prceed with this type f testing, cntact yur Sabre Accunt Directr. Yu will need t designate an administratr wh will set up the test and create the templates fr yur agency. Templates Determine if yu want t use Prfile Templates. If yu d want t use Templates, they must be set up by yur administratr prir t the migratin. With Prfile Templates, yu can set up Advanced Sabre Frmats and PNR Builders nce, and then all prfiles assciated t these templates will inherit the settings. Review the Sabre Template Overview Guide t determine if Templates make sense fr yur agency business. This can be fund at Agency eservices>prducts>all Prducts>pull-dwn menu>sabre Prfiles>Supprt. If yu use a 3 rd Party system, talk t the vendr and find ut if they require yu t use Prfile Templates. Obtain instructins n hw t create yur Templates t wrk with yur third party applicatins. If yu use GetThere, please see the dcument entitled GetThere / Sabre Prfiles Migratin Prcess Create yur Prfile Templates and ntify yur Sabre Accunt Directr when they are cmpleted. Technical Integratin Resurces If yu have a Web Services Agreement with Sabre, yu can access the DRC fr all Sabre Prfiles schemas and dcumentatin. If yu d nt have a Web Services Agreement, but need t use Sabre Scribe Scripts within Sabre Red Wrkspace, yu can request the latest Sabre Prfiles web services schemas and dcumentatin frm yur Sabre Accunt Directr. If yu have Scribe Scripts that need t interact with Sabre Prfiles t read, create, update r delete prfiles, yu will need t update thse scripts. Ensure that yur script develper takes the training class entitled Sabre Scribe Develper Integratin with Sabre Prfiles. If yu have additinal questins r need supprt, cntact yur Sabre Accunt Directr. If yu have scripts r applicatins that currently access STARS thrugh the STARS cmmand service, yu will nt have t d any additinal wrk as lng as all yu d is mve the data. 4 If yu have a custmized versin f TurbSabre r a Qik Develper applicatin that needs t interact with Sabre Prfiles t read, create, update r delete prfiles, yu will need t update that applicatin. An updated Qik Develper mdule that is cmpatible with the latest Sabre Prfiles schema and integratin instructins are available fr dwnlad n the Qik Develper Prduct page n Agency eservices. Qik Develpers can dwnlad Qik Mdules t reference while building and integrating Sabre Prfiles int their Qik Develper Slutins. Fr best results, it is recmmended the TurbSabre applicatin is upgraded t Qik Develper v r abve befre yu integrate with Sabre Prfiles. Upgrade Once yu are ready t upgrade, yur Sabre Accunt Directr will schedule yur Prfiles activatin. Sabre Prfiles Training Classes Agency eservices>training>training Calendar>Tpic Index>Sabre Prfiles>View/Enrll 1) Sabre Prfiles Getting Started: This class explains all f the new cncepts and features f the prduct such as hw t create, display, mve and maintain custmer prfiles in the Sabre Prfiles graphical user interface that is integrated within Sabre Red Wrkspace. Recmmended Audience: New Users f Sabre Prfiles 2) Sabre Prfiles - Migratin frm STARs t Prfiles: This class cvers imprtant aspects abut the migratin f yur data frm STARS t Sabre Prfiles, and explains sme key features that allw fr the efficient use f yur prfile infrmatin. We recmmend that yu review this recrding r sign up t attend this class, prir t yur migratin t Sabre Prfiles.
