2 Chrome 1. Navigate to chrome://settings/ from the address bar OR 2. Select the Chrome menu icon (see below) on the top-right corner of the browser a. The Chrome menu icon will look like or depending on the Chrome browser version, however the icon s location is the same. 3. Select Settings from the drop-down menu. 9. From the Settings page, you may reset your Startup (Home page) page, Appearance and Address bar (Omnibox) search settings. On Startup Page (Home page) 4. From the Settings page, click Set Pages under On Startup.

3 5. Hover over Conduit Search and select the icon. Then click the OK button. Appearance 6. To add a Startup (Home page) URL, enter the URL and click OK. 7. From the Settings page, check the Show Home button box under Appearance. Click Change.

4 8. Delete the Conduit Search URL under Home page. Click OK. Address Bar Search (Omnibox) 10. From the Settings page, select the Manage search engines button under Search.

5 11. Hover over your preferred search engine and click the Make default button. 12. Click Done.

6 13. To remove Conduit Search hover over Conduit option and select the icon. Click Done. 14. Restart Chrome browser to confirm Startup (Home page) page, Appearance and Address bar (Omnibox) changes. New Tab 15. Open a new tab. 16. Select Restore at the bottom-left corner of the page.

7 404 Error 17. To disable 404 redirects from the toolbar, select the gear logo to the left of the toolbar search box. Select Toolbar Options from the drop-down menu. NOTE: Skip to step #19 to disable 404 redirects by uninstalling the toolbar.

8 18. Select the Advanced Settings tab and uncheck Show an alternate search page when web pages are not found. Click OK. Uninstall DivX Browser Bar 19. Navigate to chrome://extensions/ from the address bar OR 20. Select the Chrome menu icon (see below) on the top-right corner of the browser

9 a. The Chrome menu icon will look like or depending on the Chrome browser version. The location of the icon is the same for all browser versions. 21. Select Tools and Extensions from the drop-down menu. 22. Find DivX Browser Bar and click the trash icon. Click Remove. Firefox 23. Restart Chrome browser to confirm all changes. Home page 1. At the top-left corner of the browser select either the orange Firefox OR the Tools menu. 2. Select Options from the drop-down menu.

10 3. From the General tab, delete the Conduit Search URL in the Home page field. Click OK. Default Search 4. Select the magnifying glass icon to the right of the address bar.

11 5. Select Manage Search Engines from the drop-down menu. 6. Select DivX Browser Bar Customized from the list of options and click the Remove button.

12 Move your preferred search engine to the top of the list by highlighting that option and selecting the Move Up button. Click OK. Address Bar Search 7. To disable address bar search from the toolbar, select the gear logo to the left of the toolbar search box. NOTE: Skip to step #14 to reset address bar search by uninstalling the toolbar. 8. Select Toolbar Options from the drop-down menu.

13 9. Select the Advanced Settings tab and uncheck the Enable search from address bar and Enable search suggestions in address bar checkboxes. NOTE: To disable 404 redirects from the Toolbar Options menu uncheck Show an alternate search page when web pages are not found. 10. Click OK.

14 New Tab 11. Open a new tab. 12. Select Restore at the bottom-left corner of the page. Click OK. 404 Error

15 13. See step #9 to disable 404 redirects from the Toolbar Options menu OR continue onto step #14 to disable 404 redirects by uninstalling the DivX Browser Bar. Uninstall DivX Browser Bar 14. At the top-left corner of the browser select either the orange Firefox OR the Tools menu. 15. Select Add-ons from the drop-down menu. 16. Find DivX Browser Bar under the Extensions tab. 17. Click the Remove button and select the Remove the toolbar checkbox. Click OK.

16 18. Restart Firefox to confirm all changes. Uninstall Search Protect by Conduit & DivX Browser Bar for Internet Explorer Instructions for how to uninstall Search Protect by Conduit vary according to the Windows Operating System version. Windows XP, Vista, and 7 1. Locate Start/Windows menu icon at the bottom-left corner of the Desktop. Windows XP: Windows Vista & 7: 2. Click Control Panel and search for and/or select the Programs option. Windows XP: Select Add or Remove Programs Windows Vista & 7: Search for and select Programs and Features 3. Find and select Search Protect by Conduit AND Windows XP: Select the Change/Remove button.

17 Windows Vista & 7: Click the Uninstall/Change or Remove button. Windows 8 4. Click Yes. 5. Repeat steps #3 & 4 for the DivX Browser Bar. 1. Locate the Start/Windows menu by moving the mouse to the top-right corner of the Desktop. Click the Search icon (the menu will slide from the right.

18 2. Select the Settings tab and search for and select Programs and Features. 3. Find and select Search Protect by Conduit and click the Uninstall/Change button.

19 4. Click Yes. 5. Repeat steps #3 & 4 for DivX Browser Bar. Internet Explorer Home page 1. At the top-right corner of the browser find the Tools menu. The Tools icon and location varies according to the IE version. Internet Explorer 7 Internet Explorer 8 Internet Explorer 9 Internet Explorer Select Internet Options from the Tools drop-down menu. 20 Internet Explorer 9 & From the General tab, delete the Conduit Search URL and replace it with the desired home page URL.

21 4. Click the Apply button and then select OK. Default Search (IE 7 & 8) 5. Select the magnifying glass icon at the top-right side of the browser.

22 6. Select Manage Search Providers from the drop-down menu. 7. Choose your desired search provider and click the Set as default button.

23 NOTE: When DivX Browser Bar Customized Search is the only search option add a new search provider by selecting the Find more search providers link at the bottom-left corner of the window OR navigate to from the Internet Explorer address bar. Select the preferred search provider (direct links below) and click the Add to Internet Explorer button. Google: Yahoo: Bing: Click Add and go back to step #5. 8. Select DivX Browser Bar Customized and click the Remove button. Click Close. Address Bar Search (IE 9 & 10)

24 9. Select the Cog Wheel icon at the top-right corner of the browser. 10. Select Manage add-ons from the drop-down menu. 11. Under the Search Providers tab choose your preferred search provider and click the Set as default button. NOTE: When DivX Browser Bar Customized Search is the only search option add a new search provider by selecting the Find more search providers link at the bottom-left corner of the window OR navigate to from the Internet Explorer address bar. Select the preferred search provider (direct links below) and click the Add to Internet Explorer button. Google: Yahoo: Bing: Click Add and go back to step # Select DivX Browser Bar Customized and click the Remove button. Click Close.

25 New Tab 13. To revert New Tab page follow Home page instructions (step #1). 404 Error 14. To disable 404 redirects from the toolbar (uninstalling the IE toolbar disables 404 redirects) select the gear logo to the left of the toolbar search box. 15. Select Toolbar Options from the drop-down menu. 16. Select the Additional Settings tab and uncheck the Show an alternate search page when web pages are not found box. Click OK.
