1 Prezi Creating a Prezi Log in to your account and click on the New Prezi button. Enter a title and (optional) description, and then click on the Create New Prezi button. Selecting a Template Select a template. (You can also choose a Blank template and build your own.) Click on the desired template, and then click the Choose button. (In this handout, the Phases of a Process template is shown.) Page 1 of 13

2 An overview of the selected template will appear on the main stage. On the left side, you will see an outline of slides. The current slide will be highlighted in yellow. Choose the 2 nd slide to begin. Entering Text Click on any Click to Add Text area and type. Page 2 of 13

3 To edit the text, highlight it and use the formatting bar. Using the Zebra Tools The zebra can be used for text, images, videos, shapes, and frames. More Handy Tools You can also use your mouse wheel to zoom in/out. Page 3 of 13

4 Applying Themes To select a background color theme, click on the Themes button. Inserting Images To insert an image from your computer, click on the Images button, and then choose From File. Browse your computer for the desired image. To insert an image from the Internet, click on the Images button, and then choose From Google Images. Page 4 of 13

5 Enter a search term. A list of images will appear. Click on any image to preview. Click OK to use that image in your Prezi. Page 5 of 13

6 Inserting Shapes To insert a shape, click on the Shapes button, and then choose the desired shape. SAMPLE ARROW TOOLBAR Page 6 of 13

7 SAMPLE ARROW SHAPE Inserting Video To insert a video from your computer, click on the Media button, and then choose From File. Browse your computer for the desired video. It may take a few minutes for your video to upload and process. Page 7 of 13

8 Adding Frames To add a frame, click on the Add Frame button, and then choose the desired frame shape. Click and drag to draw the frame. NOTE: A new frame will appear as a new slide in the slide outline. Page 8 of 13

9 To resize, double click on the edge of the frame and use the resizing handles. Prezi Path Prezi automatically creates a motion path frame one frame to another. If you wish to change the order of the slides and their path, drag and drop the slides in the left hand pane. If you wish to manually edit the path, click the Edit Path button. Drag path numbers to the new desired location. Page 9 of 13

10 Click the Done button in the upper right of the screen when path editing is complete. Importing PowerPoint Slides You can import an entire PowerPoint presentation into Prezi, or use specific slides from a PowerPoint presentation. Importing an Entire PowerPoint Presentation Click on the PowerPoint button, and then browse your computer for the location of the PowerPoint presentation. Your PowerPoint slides will appear on the right side of the screen. Click the Import All button. Select a layout. Make sure that the Add a Path box is checked, and then click the Insert button. 11 Click the green check mark to accept. NOTE: Design backgrounds and animations will not import. Importing Specific PowerPoint Slides Click on the PowerPoint button, and then browse your computer for the location of the PowerPoint presentation. Your PowerPoint slides will appear on the right side of the screen. Page 11 of 13

12 Drag a slide to the stage. NOTE: Design backgrounds and animations will not import. Viewing Your Prezi At any time during the editing process, you can click the Present button. Use the arrows at the bottom of the screen to navigate through your presentation. Hit the Escape key on your keyboard to return to editing mode. Page 12 of 13

13 When you are completely finished editing, click the Save and Close This Prezi button. To see a list of all of your presentations, click the Your Prezis button. To edit an existing Prezi, select it from your list of Prezis. Then click the Edit button. Prezi on ios Prezi is available as a free app from the Apple store for use on iphone, ipod Touch, and ipad.. You can log into your account and view all of your Prezis, and create simple Prezis directly on your ios device. Page 13 of 13
