5 RH RH OPERATION MANUAL 1 Safety Instructions 1 Safety Instructions 1.1 Introduction This chapter explains the meaning of safety terms for personnel who operates this equipment, important safety instructions, and the positions of the warning labels. WARNING Be sure to follow all instructions and warnings on this manual when using the equipment. 1.2 Warnings, Cautions, and Notes Safety terms in this manual and the contents of warning labels attached to the printer are categorized into the following three types depending on the degree of risk (or the scale of accident). Read the following explanations carefully, and follow the instructions in this manual. Safety terms WARNING CAUTION NOTE Details Must be followed carefully to avoid death or serious bodily injury Must be observed to avoid bodily injury (moderately or lightly) or damage to your equipment Contains important information and useful tips on the operation of your printer 1-1

6 1 Safety Instructions RH RH OPERATION MANUAL 1.3 Important safety instructions General safety instructions that must be observed to use the equipment safely are explained below. WARNING Do not place the printer in the following areas. Doing so may result in the printer tipping or falling over and causing injury. Unstable surfaces Angled place Areas subject to vibration by other equipment Do not stand on or place heavy objects on your printer. Doing so may result in the printer tipping or falling over and causing injury. Do not cover the ventilation hole of your printer with cloth, such as a blanket or table cloth. Doing so could obstruct ventilation and cause fire. Do not place the printer away from humid and dusty areas. Doing so may result in electrical shock or fire. Do not use a damaged power cable. Doing so may result in electrical shock. Do not attempt to plug in electrical plugs with wet hands. Doing so may result in electrical shock. Do not connect earth cables in the following areas. Gas pipes Doing so may cause fire or an explosion. Earth terminals for telephone line or lightening rod Doing so may cause a large flow of voltage if lightening occurs. Water pipes or faucets If there is a plastic part in the pipe, the earth will not work properly. Do not put any combustibles on the platen during heater operation. Doing so may result in fire. Do not pour any liquid combustible on the platen. Doing so may result in fire. Do not insert or drop metal or inflammable objects into openings, such as ventilation outlets. Doing so may result in electrical shock and fire. Stop using your printer if a liquid is spilled into it. This may cause electrical shock or fire. Turn the printer off as soon as possible, unplug the power cord, contact MUTOH local dealer. Be sure to use the attached cable. Otherwise, electrical shock or fire may occur. Be sure to use the specified voltage (AC 100 V to 120V, or AC220V to 240V). Otherwise, electrical shock or fire may occur. Use electricity directly from a power outlet (AC 100 V to 120V, or AC220V to 240V). Do not put many loads on one electrical output. Otherwise, heat may be generated and cause fire. 1-2

7 RH RH OPERATION MANUAL 1 Safety Instructions Be sure to use an outlet with an earth terminal and use the terminal corectly. Otherwise, electrical shock or fire may occur. CAUTION Follow the instructions below when handling the power cable. Do not modify the cable Do not put heavy objects on the cable Do not bend, twist, or pull the cord Do not wire the cable near equipment that generates heat Follow the instructions below when handling the power plug. Otherwise, fire may occur. Wipe away dust and any other residue before inserting the plug. Ensure that the plug is firmly inserted as far as it will go. When handling the foot switch, be wary of the following: Do not place anything heavy on the foot switch. Do not bend the cable of the foot switch with force, and do not pull. Do not place the foot switch near thermal devices. When handling ink cartridges, be careful that ink does not get in your eyes or on your skin. However, if this happens, flush the are immediately with water. Otherwise, your eyes may become congested or inflamed slightly. If you feel discomfort, consult a doctor immediately. Do not disassemble ink cartridges. Otherwise, ink may get in your eyes or on your skin. Be careful not to pinch your fingers when opening and closing the cover of the ink compartment. Be careful not to pinch your fingers when opening and closing the front cover. Follow the instructions below when connecting the network interface cable. Otherwise, electrical shock or fire may occur. Do not touch the connector. Do not connect the network cable connector that is not the same specification to the interface board. During printing, do not touch the media guide. The media guide is hot, and may cause burns if touched. Do not touch the platen and the media guide during heater operation. The platen and the media guide are hot, and may cause burn if touched. Perform adequate ventilation at a workshop. Otherwise, you may feel bad or fire may occur. If a media is clogged by using the media holder plate, the plate may be changed in shape. When the media holder plate is changed in shape, Do not remove the clogged media by main force. Stop using the printer. Using the printer with the media plate changed in shape may damage the grid roller or print heads. Contact MUTOH local dealer. 1-3

8 1 Safety Instructions RH RH OPERATION MANUAL When cutting the roll media, be careful of the following. Incorrect handling can result in injury to the hands and fingers from the razor blade. When holding the media, do not place fingers over the media cut groove. Move the razor blade slowly along the media cut groove. Do not use thinner, Benzene, alcohol or other active agents. Doing so may result in damage or paint peeling from the casing. Be careful not to spill water inside the printer. Doing so may result in a short circuit. Never open the covers fixed with screws. Doing so may result in electrical shock or a malfunction in the printer. Do not bend or pull the waste fluid tube. Doing so may cause that the waste fluid will leak out and malfunction in the product. Do not touch the cleaning wiper or the head cap unit while cleaning the cleaning wiper. Doing so may result in poor head cleaning because of oil on your hands. Do not tilt the printer, stand it against a wall, or turn it upside down. Doing so may cause ink to leak inside the printer. Also, movement after transport is not covered by the warranty. When installing options, do not touch the elements on the circuit board. The elements on the boards can be very hot, and can cause burns. Have four or more people unpack and assemble the printer. When lifting the printer out of the packing box, be sure to remove the vinyl cover first, then grab the holding grips on the sides of the printer. lifting the printer with the vinyl cover on may cause your hands to slip and drop or damage the printer. Have two or more people transport the printer. Ensure that the plug has been disconnected from the power socket when it is not to be used for a long time. Earth wires must be connected to wires or terminals that fulfill the conditions below. Earth terminals of power sockets Earth wires with copper morsel that is at least 650 mm under the ground When setting roll media, place it on top of a desk or other flat surface. Setting roll media with the scroller standing up may damage them. To perform cleaning Turn the printer off and unplug the power cable. Wait about 30 minute or more before performing the cleaning to lower the temperature of the platen and the media guide. They can cause burns. Do not use thinner, Benzene, alcohol, or other active agents. Doing so may result in damage or paint peeling from the casing. Be careful not to spill water inside the printer. Keep the printer horizontal during transportation. Be sure to do the following before attaching options. Turn the printer OFF Unplug the power cord from the socket Unplug cables connected to the printer. Otherwise, damage to the printer or your computer may occur. Remove electrostatic charge form your clothes and body by touching the metal parts of the printer. Electronic components such as the memory may malfunction if exposed to an electrostatic charge. 1-5

Warning labels are attached to areas where care should be paid. Read and understand the positions and contents thoroughly before performing your work Handling the warning labels Be sure to note the following when handling the labels. NOTE Make sure that all labels can be recognized. If text or illustrations cannot be seen clearly, clean the label. When cleaning labels, use a cloth with water or neutral detergent. Do not use a solvent or gasoline. If a warning label is damaged, lost, or cannot be recognized, replace the label. Your printer has labels that give simple explanations of operations that require particular care. Read and understand the locations and contents of these labels thoroughly before performing your work Handling the operation procedure labels Be sure to note the following when handling operation procedure labels. NOTE Make sure that all the labels can be recognized. If text or illustrations cannot be seen clearly, clean the label. When cleaning labels, use a cloth with water or neutral detergent. Do not use a solvent or gasoline. If a warning label is damaged, lost, or cannot be recognized, replace the label. 18 RH RH OPERATION MANUAL 2 Product Overview 2 Product Overview 2.1 Introduction This chapter explains the features, part names, and functions of the printer. 2.2 Features The features of the printer are explained below. (1) High speed output 2 models feature new print heads and achieve high speed printing. They also offer printing width up to 1,609mm in RH (64 inch) and 2,163mm in RH (87 inch) spec possible. (2) Wide variety of compatible media Adjustable head height can be changed to four levels, and can adapt to various media thickness from 0.08 up to 1.0mm. The feed unit and the winding unit are included as standard equipment. The allowable maximum weight of the roll media used for RH is 70kg (154Lbs.), and that for the RH is 100kg (220Lbs.). (3) Vibrant Color Reproduction To reproduce sharp and vivid color, 6 ink colors are used for printing. 220ml of large capacity ecosolvent ink cartridge is equipped with an IC chip, which can automatically detect the ink quantity, significantly improving productivity. Both models use variable dots, improving color reproduction. (4) Using Multi Heater The media heat system developed for PJ series is arranged for the eco-solvent ink. The three heaters (pre, platen, after) are installed, allowing the eco-solvent ink to be fixed better on the media and dried more quickly. (5) Effective usage of media A JOG feature is provided to allow setting of the printing position as required. Because printing can be performed on media that has already been printed on, excess space can be used effectively. (6) RIP Dedicated software RIP is available as an option. 2-1

19 2 Product Overview RH RH OPERATION MANUAL 2.3 Part names and functions Part names and functions are explained below Front No. Name Function 1 Operation panel This panel is used to set operational conditions, the status of the printer, and other functions. 2 Ink compartment This is the place for installing ink cartridges. 3 Front cover This cover keeps the operator safe from the drive parts of the printer while it is operating. Open and/or close the cover only when performing the following operations. Media setting and replacement Clearing cleaning wiper media jamming 4 Pressurizing roller This roller is used to press the media from above and keep it flat when printing. 5 Stand This stand is used to install the printer on a surface flat floor. 6 Media guide This is used to feed the media smoothly when setting the media and when printing. There is a ink drying device built in. 7 Media cut groove Used to cut the media straight: Roll media cutting procedure 2-2

This is opened during the following conditions: When replacing the sponge: Replacing sponge When cleaning the cleaning wiper: Cleaning the cleaning wiper 9 Foot switch This switch is used to raise and lower the pressurizing roller. 10 Winding unit Winds and collects the printed media. 11 Waste fluid tank This tank is used to store waste ink discharged from the product. 12 Waste fluid valve This valve is opened when discharging waste ink from the waste fluid tank. This is normally closed. 13 Waste fluid tube This tube is used to discharge waste ink from the product. 14 Scroller release lever This lever is used to separate the scroller from the winding unit to rotate the scroller by hand. 15 Media holder plate This part is used to hold media. 16 Cushioning roller This roller is used to guide the printed media to the winding unit Back

21 2 Product Overview RH RH OPERATION MANUAL No. Name Function 1 AC inlet This is the inlet interface to which the power plug is connected. 2 Interface connector This is the connector to which the interface cable is connected. 3 Foot switch connector This is the connector to which the foot switch cable is attached. 4 Insertion slot This is the slot for inserting media when setting it. 5 Maintenance cover This protects users from electric shock caused by touching the internal electrical parts. The cover is closed for normal use. 6 Interface slot The network interface board attaches here. 7 Hard disk slot The hard disk attaches here. When not using a hard disk, keep the cover closed. 8 Nameplate rating The type, name, serial number, rating and others of the printer are labeled here. 9 Feed unit This is the device which sets the media, and feeds it to the printing start position. 10 Tension roller Set the printing intervals when perform printing by media feed compensation. When the tension roller is lifted up, the feeding device feeds the media automatically. 11 Breaker This is the fail-safe device, which functions in case of heater failure. 12 Scroller release lever This lever is used to separate the scroller from the feed unit to rotate the scroller by hand Operation panel The operation panel is used to set operational conditions, display the status of the printer, and set other functions. The names and functions of the operation keys and status lamps are explained below. TIP See the sections below for using the operation panel. Off The printer is off. 12 ERROR lamp Red Flashing An error has occurred. The contents will be displayed on the LCD monitor. Off Either there is no error in the printer. 2-5

You can also make settings concerning printing using the operation panel. The contents displayed on the LCD monitor of the control panel are as follows No. Position Description 1 1st line Displays the current status of the printer. Depending on the status, the contents may be displayed in the 2nd to 4th lines. 2 Left of 2nd line Displays the function assigned to [F1] key. 3 Right of 2nd line Displays the function assigned to [F2] key. 4 Left of 3rd line Displays the function assigned to [F3] key. 5 Right of 3rd line Displays the function assigned to [F4] key. 6 Left of 4th line Displays the currently set media type. 7 Right of 4th line Displays the approximate amount of the remaining roll media that is currently set. (Units: m) However, the amount is diplayed only when either "Roll media 1", "Roll media 2", or "Roll media 3" is selected in the Roll Media setup menu. 4.4 Menu setup on the operation panel Setting menu display Indicates that you can make settings concerning printing using the operation panel. Operation regarding printing is possible on the operation panel. The contents displayed on the LCD monitor of the control panel are as follows. 2-7

Displays the page status if there are multiple pages for the currently displayed setting menu Changing the printer status To change the printer status, follow the steps below. (1) Changing the status from normal to the setting menu display Press either [MENU ] or [MENU ] on the control panel when the printer is in normal status. The display of the control panel changes to the Setting menu display. NOTE See "4.4.1 Setup menu" for details of the setting menu. (2) Changing the status from the setting menu display to normal Take one of the following actions when the printer is in the setting menu display to change the operation panel display to normal one. Press the [CANCEL] key on the operation panel. Leave the printer as it is for 3 minutes when the status is in the setting menu display. 2-8

WARNING Make sure that the distributed power cable is used. Use of a differnt cable may result in electric shock or fire. Do not use a damaged power cable. Doing so may result in electric shock or fire. CAUTION Be careful of the following when handling the power cable. Do not make any modifications to the power cable. Do not place anything heavy on the power cable. Do not bend, twist, or pull the cable. Do not wire the cable near equipment that generates heat. NOTE If the power cable is damaged, contact one of the following locations. Do not unplug the power cable when the printer is on. If power cable is unplugged, leave the printer for at least 1 minute before plugging the cable in again. To plug 2 power cables into outlets, more than 20A capacity is required in total. In case the ampere-capacity of 1 electrical system is less than 20A, use 2 electrical systems to plug the cables separately. AC V or AC V 1 No. Name 1 Power cable 4. Turn on 2 breakers ON the back face of the printer. WARNING In case the printer breaker is shut off, stop using the printer. Using the printer with the repaired breaker may cause fire. NOTE Shutoff of the printer breaker can be caused by heater failure. Contact MUTOH local dealer. 3-5

35 RH RH OPERATION MANUAL 3 Basic Installation 3.3 Connecting the foot switch The connection procedure for the foot switch is described below. If the pressurizing roller needs to be raised or lowered, it is possible to control this motion from the foot switch, instead doing so at the control panel. CAUTION When handling the foot switch, be wary of the following: Do not place anything heavy on the foot switch. Do not bend the cable of the foot switch with force, and do not pull. Do not place the foot switch near thermal devices. Install the foot switch according to the following procedure. 1. Make sure that the power of the unit is OFF. NOTE The power is ON if the control panel displays the following conditions: The [POWER] key is in the pushed-in condition. The POWER lamp is lit (green). Press the [POWER] key again to turn the power OFF. 2. Connect the foot switch cable connector to the foot switch connector on the rear face of the unit, and fix into place with a screw. 1 2 No. Name 1 Foot switch connector 2 Foot switch cable 3. 37 RH RH OPERATION MANUAL 3 Basic Installation 3.4 Turning the power ON/OFF The method to turn the power ON or OFF are described below Turning the power ON Turn the power of the unit ON according to the following procedure. 1. Press the [POWER] key of the control panel, to turn the unit ON. The POWER lamp of the control panel will light (green). After finishing initial startup operations, the unit will enter the normal operating condition. NOTE If there are any problems during the initial startup operation, the unit will display a message on the control panel, and the operation may stop. If the operation stops, refer to "6 Troubleshooting", and take the appropriate measures. If the communication initialize error occurs in initial operation, the following functions are not available. Feed unit Winding unit Setting for each heater Even if the communication initialize error occurs, the printing can be performed. But the best printing results can not be obtained. Contact MUTOH local dealer Turning the power OFF Turn the power of the unit OFF according to the following procedure. 3-9

The Control panel is in a normal status. 2. Push the [POWER] key of the control panel, to turn the product OFF. NOTE The power is ON if the control panel displays the following conditions: The [POWER] key is in the pushed-in condition. The POWER lamp is lit (green). Following message is displayed on the operation panel for 3 seconds. NOTE If pushing [POWER] key on the operation panel by mistake, push [POWER] key again while the following message is displayed. a. When not feeding the media, press the [CANCEL] key on the operation panel or wait 10 seconds. NOTE If the pressurizing lever is up, the media will not feed even if the [ENTER] key on the operation panel is pressed. 5. The product will perform the power OFF operation. Following message is displayed on the operation panel. If the [ENTER] key is pressed in Step 4, the product will send the media for 0.8m (2.6ft.). The pressurizing roller raise. All of the lamp and the LCD of the operation panel will turn OFF. The product will automatically turn the power OFF NOTE If there are any problems during the power OFF operation, the unit will display a message on the operation panel, and the operation may stop. If the operation stops, refer to "6 Troubleshooting", and take the appropriate measures. 3-11

40 3 Basic Installation RH RH OPERATION MANUAL 3.5 Installing ink cartridges The installation of ink cartridges is explained below. CAUTION When handling ink cartridges, be careful that ink does not get in your eyes or on your skin. However, if this happens, flush the area immediately with water. Otherwise, your eyes may become congested or inflamed slightly. If you feel discomfort, consult a doctor immediately. Do not disassemble ink cartridges. Otherwise, ink may get in your eyes or on your skin. NOTE Use genuine products when filling ink cartridges with ink. This product has been tuned for the use of genuine ink cartridges. If other manufacturer s products are used, drawing results become faint or ink ends are not properly detected, and the warranty will not cover (repairs will require a fee) any resultant breakdown. Refer to the following for the types and details of ink cartridges. 7.4 Options/Supply list Do not shake ink cartridges strongly. Otherwise, ink may leak. Do not disassemble ink cartridges. You cannot use disassembled cartridges. To install ink cartridges, follow the steps below. 1. Turn the printer on. 2. The printer starts the initialize operation. The following message is displayed on the operation panel. After finishing initial start-up operations, the ink charge menu is displayed. 3. Select the number of cleaning cartridges to be used. 3-12

CAUTION Be careful not to pinch your fingers when opening and closing the ink compartment cover. 1 No. Name 1 Ink cartridge slot 5. Take the cleaning cartridges out of a bag. 6. Install the cleaning cartridges into the ink cartridge slots. Insert the cleaning cartridge with the arrow mark face-up and pointing to the rear of the printer. Insert the cleaning cartridge as far as it will go

NOTE To perform cleaning with 4 cleaning cartridges, install them three times for each 4 slots. 7. After filling the cleaning fluids, remove the cleaning cartridges. The printer starts the print head cleaning. 8. After the head cleaning, take the ink cartridges out of a bag and load them into the ink cartridge slots. The ink cartridge must be attached to a specific slot according to the type and color used. Refer to the following table to match the ink color and number labeled in front of the slot. During replenishment, the printer executes ink replenishment and inaction alternately. 3-15

44 3 Basic Installation RH RH OPERATION MANUAL NOTE During ink replenishment, note the following. Do not turn the printer off. Do not unplug the power cable. Do not open the front cover. In the [***] part of the message, the remaining time will be displayed. 11. When the ink replenishment is completed, the following message is displayed on the operation panel. NOTE Printing the first time after ink replenishment may lead to the following phenomena. Printed line grazes White lines If any of there occurs, perform the head cleaning 2 or 3 times and check the printing result. If the printing result does not improve after the head cleaning, wait at least one hour, and perform the head cleaning again then check the printing result. If you still want to make improvements, contact MUTOH local dealer. 3-16

The procedures required for media installation is shown in the following flow diagram. Refer to the following items before performing the operations. For roll media 1. Install the roll media to the scroller Placement of the roll media 2. Set the roll media to the product Loading roll media 3. When the winding unit is used, set the roll medial to the winding unit Setting winding unit 4. Set the media type Setting media type For sheet media 1. NOTE The following roll media can be attached to the scroller supplied with this unit. RH Media tube: diameter 3 inches, length 1,676mm (66.0in.) or less Width: 1,619mm (63.7in.) or less External diameter: 250mm (9.8in.) or less Weight: 70kg (154Lbs.) or less RH Media tube: diameter 3 inches, length 2,260mm (89.0in.) or less Width: 2,173mm (85.6in.) or less External diameter: 250mm (9.8in.) or less Weight: 100kg (220Lbs.) or less Problems that occur due to usage of media such as printable side with inside, are not guaranteed. To attach roll media, follow the steps below. 1. Using the attached hexagon wrench, loosen the two screws for the flange on the opposite side of the positioning ring, and remove the flange from the scroller No. Name 1 Scroller 2 Flange 3 Screw 4 Positioning ring 5 Driving nut 2. To load roll media, follow the steps below. NOTE Set the roll media on a flat surface such as on a desk to stop the scroller from moving. By setting the roll media, the scroller becomes heavy and slippery. Handle the scroller carefully not to drop it. 3-18

Load the locating part equipped with the scroller (64 in., for 2in. tube) to the convex surface of the locating part for 3in. of the feed unit

Hold the scroller with the fixed flange coming to the left side of the product (viewed from its back), and attach the both ends of the scroller to the feed unit of the product. CAUTION Be careful not to pinch clothes, hair, and fingers between the scroller and the feed unit when performing the following work: When attaching the scroller to the product. During printing. Doing so may cause injury for contamination. 3-22

When using the winding unit: Set the winding unit setting to "ON" Winding unit menu When not performing media detection during media initialization: Set media detection to "No" Media detection menu When using the roll media such as the printable side is outside: Set the feed unit item to "Outside" Feed unit menu When using the roll media such as the printable side is inside: Set the feed unit item to "Inside" Feed unit menu 3. Verify that the MEDIA SET lamp of the control panel is unlit. 4. Press [F2] key to raise the pressurizing roller. The MEDIA SET lamp will light (orange). The following message is displayed on the operation panel. NOTE When raising or lowering the pressurizing roller, you can use the foot switch instead of the control panel. 3-24

56 3 Basic Installation RH RH OPERATION MANUAL 10. Rewind the roll media a little by pressing [F1] key on the operation panel while holding the edge of the media, and eliminate any loose or slant. NOTE If you set the roll media free while rewinding, the roll media will fall out from the media feed slot to the rear side of the product. Make sure not to set the right edge of the media over the media setting position. Using the attached hexagon wrench, loosen the screws (each 2) for both flanges to move the roll media right and left. b. After adjusting the position of the roll media, tighten the screws back in their original positions No. Name 1 Flange 2 Screw 3 Roll media 12. Press the [CANCEL] key on the operation panel. The operation panel returns to the normal condition. TIP When using a winding unit, follow "3.6.3 Setting winding unit" and set the roll media to the winding unit. 13. Press the [F2] key on the control panel to lower the pressurizing roller. The MEDIA SET lamp goes off. 3-29

NOTE If you load a new tube of roll media, the media end may not be straight. If so, cut the end of the roll media. When using the winding unit, set up the winding unit according to the following procedure. NOTE When using the winding unit, always load the media before printing. 1. Attach the media tube to the scroller for the winding unit Placement of the roll media NOTE When using the winding unit, always use the media tube attached to the product. 2. Hold the scroller so that the flange on the side of the positioning ring is on the right, and attach both ends of the scroller to the winding unit. NOTE Set the scroller onto the printer correctly by referring to the figure below. If the direction of the attachment is wrong, the media will not be wound correctly

Install the media on the media tube so that the printing side faces outside. The media cannot be wound if the printable side faces inside. NOTE If roll media is attached to the printer, wind the media up and then load the sheet media. 1. Turn the printer on. 2. The printer starts the initialize operation. The following message is displayed on the operation panel. NOTE In the following case, follow "4.4.1 Setup menu" and set the items. To not use the media detection at the media initialization: Set to "OFF" in the media detection setup item. 3. Verify that the sheet lamp on the control panel is unlit. 4. Press [F2] key on the control panel to lower the pressurizing roller. The MEDIA SET lamp will light (orange). The following message is displayed on the operation panel. 3-35

The setup menu is diplayed. 4. Press [F3] key on the control panel. "TestPrint" is displayed on the Operation panel. 5. NOTE If printing quality declines, or if missing dots are evident after the NozzleCheck, the print heads need to be cleaned. See "5.3.3 Head cleaning" to perform head cleaning. After finishing the head cleaning, perform the NozzleCheck again. TIP For printing, refer to the following. 3.7 Testprinting 3-43

72 3 Basic Installation RH RH OPERATION MANUAL Alignment Use this function to adjust the print quality for best results. NOTE The print quality of your printer is pre-adjusted when it is shipped. When the installation environment of the printer or media type have been changed and print quality declines, use this function. To do the Alignment, follow the steps below. 1. Turn the power of the unit ON, and set the media. 2. Perform an accuracy adjustment printing for alignment according to "3.7 Testprinting". When performing uni-directional printing: Alignment (for the uni-direction printing) When performing bi-directional printing: Alignment (for the uni-direction printing and the bidirection printing) 3. Seeing the line "Head 2" of the printing sample, select a number in which the straight line appears with the least blur. 3-44
