4. CONTENT ADMIN KIT PARAMETER ADMINISTRATION KIT panel Series of tools Content Admin Kit are newly developed part of Kobi Toolkit for Revit. Tools offers an advanced managing of the parameters in families and projects Translate & Reorder Translate and Reorder tool runs only when family document is active. Next you can use attached spreadsheet as a template to define translations: column A is untranslated parameter value, column B translated one. Next you run the tool and select whatever you would like to do: - translate parameters will translate parameter names (only the ones you created, either shared or non-shared). You need to point to translated Shared parameter file if you want to process shared parameters also. - sort parameters uses a hack to reorder, since it was developed before this feature was available in Revit. I would recommend to use existing Revit functionality to reorder. - translate values will translate parameter values (only if the pair is found in a spreadsheet - same goes for parameter names) 83

Open familiy document Click on the Content Admin Kit tab go to Parameter Administration Kit panel click on Shared Parameter Manager Shared Parameter Manager Tool enables quick and easy managing shared parameters in a table. It displays a dialog, where users can review, add and delete shared parameters to their shared parameter file. You can change parameter name, group, type and visibility in this coumns. Define shared parameter path, or save shared parameter file. Click to: to add parameter to delete selected parameter Click on the Content Admin Kit tab go to Parameter Administration Kit panel click on Shared Parameter Manage Parameter Manager With this tool, users can create new project parameters and/or edit family parameters (e.g. convert parameters from instance to type based, import many shared parameters at once, etc.). In a project file the user can import one or more shared parameters and apply it to multiple categories at once in a selected group. In a family file the user can manage several parameter properties at once. Tool Parameter Manager has more functionality. User can change the parameter from instance to type, delete parameters and 84

import one or more shared parameters from the shared parameter file. The tool enables the user to export parameter to a JSON file which can be imported to a different family file with same parameters and definitions. use toolbar to: > Select all nodes > Deselect all nodes > Invert checked nodes > Collapse selected nodes > Expand selected nodes > Collapse all nodes > Expand all nodes Click on the Content Admin Kit tab go to Parameter Administration Kit panel click on Parameter Manager 85

Reload Families This tool allows user to reload families from specific folder if there were any changes made, the reload families tool will update changes in project. User can tick the Load families from source folder (where it has been loaded from) and the reload will apply changes immidiately. On the familiy path by clicking on, it is possible to define a new path of families to be reloaded. By clicking on one of the buttons Overwrite graphics or Overwrite graphics and parameters user can decide to overwrite only graphics settings or parameters as well. On the selection dropdown user can choose category/or all categories for reload. Another option is to select the families before reload tool and later you can select Selection on the dropdown. 86

This tool enables user to read the values of host or room elements and write it into the hosted element. 87

use toolbar to: > Select all nodes > Deselect all nodes > Invert checked nodes > Collapse selected nodes > Expand selected nodes > Collapse all nodes > Expand all nodes use toolbar to: > Duplicate the rule > Delete rule > Move rule up > Move rule down > Load default rule definition > Import rule definition > Export rule definition Edit rule: here you can change rule name and parameter.
