1 SOLIDWORKS 2017 Keyboard Modifiers & Shortcuts Copy/Paste Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V These are similar in functionality to Windows. Sketches Copies and pastes sketch entities. Part Copies and pastes sketches. Assemblies Copies and pastes parts and subassemblies. If you select a feature in the FeatureManager design tree, you can copy and paste the feature as an assembly-level feature. Drawings Copies and pastes drawing views. Sketches Copies sketch entities. Parts Copies features. Assemblies Copies parts and subassemblies. Drawings Copies drawing views. Dimensions and annotations Alt + Spec. Value ` Key Ctrl + MM Wheel Alt + MM Wheel Ctrl Turns off automatic alignment when you place dimensions and annotations Moves an annotation independently from the group in which it is contained Disables distance snapping/spacing when moving dimensions Insert Windows symbols via Alt Codes Alt = Diameter Ø symbol Creates additional leaders when you press while dragging on leader s arrowhead Copy dimension from one view to another Snaps dimension to the max/min of arcs and circles with the Smart dimension Change annotation view plane for a dimension or annotation While editing dimension value increases by 10x default value While editing dimension value increases by 0.1x default value With dimension selected, shows Dimension Palette by mouse cursor
