1 Presented by Getting Unstuck, LLC User Manual Introduction Welcome to The! We all know how important gratitude is in our lives. Without gratitude our success is limited. This product will facilitate you in keeping track of the things you are grateful for. A unique aspect of this program is that not only are you provided a daily journal but a gratitude tracker Sticky Note Program is also included. The difference between this and most sticky programs is that when you make daily entries on the sticky note, they are automatically placed in the journal! The sticky note will start with windows and stays in your system tray until you exit it if you need to. Components of the program: A. Daily journal specifically for recording what you are grateful for - There is the static phrase I am so happy and grateful for/that: - Items you enter are placed in bullets - There is a place for comments if you just want to talk about your day - The journal does NOT change date if you leave it open on your computer. - The sticky note program DOES change the date it is in your system tray
2 B. Weekly summary accessible at any point (not just the end of the week) - This has columns where you can record the * Discoveries you ve made that week * Gifts you ve given that week * Tithe for the week time/talent/treasure C. You can view summaries of either of these recordings - By single date - By selected date range - By category for the weekly summary D. You can print your summaries INSTALLATION Find the setup file that you saved to your drive Double Click setup and follow the directions. It s as easy as that! *The will work on Windows Vista but has not been extensively tested on that platform or with many other programs installed on Vista OPERATION Let s go through the way to operate the program once it s been installed. Go to your Windows taskbar and find the Start button. Once you click on the Start button, you ll see All Programs. Hold your mouse on that (you may have to click on all programs if the list of programs does not come up by just hovering.
3 In your list of programs you ll see the Gratitude Journal (if you ve just installed it, your list may not yet be alphabetical) Move your cursor to the Folder to see the programs You ll see the two primary programs The and Gratitude Tracker (the sticky note program). The other two items in this folder are a link to the web page for help and the way to uninstall The
4 Click on the icon to start the Journal. Repeat the Start then All Programs then Gratitude Journal and click on Gratitude Tracker to start the Gratitude sticky note program If you should want to uninstall the click on the uninstall gratitude journal and all components will be removed.
5 If you should need more help you can click on on the web or me at GettingUnstuck@mindspring.com Be sure to put Help with Gratitude Journal in the subject line When you first open The, you ll see an image of the gratitude journal in the middle of your computer screen. This will fade and its speed depends on the speed of your computer. Do not despair the journal will open give it time again, this is dependent on the speed of your computer. Then you will see this screen as The opens. Now you re ready to begin tracking your gratitudes!
6 I recommend that you go back and start the Gratitude Tracker (the sticky note program) now while you re thinking about it Here you ll see that the Gratitude Tracker pops up and you can see that it s in your system tray too. When you then go to work on another program, the sticky goes back to behind the scenes. If you want to use it. Double click on the sticky note icon in the system tray. See more about the Gratitude Tracker
7 Now you re ready to begin entering what you re grateful for. The phrase that you want to use ends with for/that because you may be grateful that something happened or for something. Even if you don t see the cursor, just start typing and your words will show up next to the bullet. When you are done with that entry hit enter on your keyboard and begin your next entry. To get to comments either tab into the box or put your cursor there. If you click on the menu bar Journal you ll see how to get to the Weekly Journal
8 Here are the three components of the weekly journal When you are ready to get back to the daily journal go to the menu bar and click on Journal and it will drop down to Daily Journal see how easy it is to switch back and forth
9 This shows the other options on the menu bar: The reports will take you to either the Daily Report or the Weekly Report When you click on daily report you ll get an options menu this will pop up in the middle of your computer (the journal will seem to have disappeared but you can get back to it) If you pick entries only, you ll see only the daily entries (the bullets, not the comments) If you pick comments only, you ll see only the daily comments (not the bulleted entries) If you select both, you ll see both. You can select to see all entries (for all days) or the entries from a selection of days Then hit ok
10 Here you ll see what the various selections look like and how to print. Print sends the data directly to the printer. Advanced Print brings up the printer menu so you can select various printer options as you do with most programs. Go Back takes you back a step.
11 If you pick only a selection you are able to pick the date range you want to see entries for. Pick the start date from the calendar on the left, the end date of the range from the right calendar. In your Weekly Report Options, the same concept applies. You can elect to show only discoveries, only gifts, only tithes or any combination of them. And, as above, you can select all entries or only a selection.
12 Here you can see I ve selected one week (the week of the 9 th thru the 14 th )
13 If you hit print, the data will be sent directly to the printer; You can see how the Advanced Print option brings up the normal printer dialogue box. Sticky note Gratitude Tracker If you did not load the sticky note (gratitude tracker) earlier, Go to Start, All Programs, and click on Gratitude tracker You can see that it is loaded in the system tray now too.
14 You can see that the sticky note program is visible there on the right; the icon for it is also visible in the system tray. You can always call it up from the system tray. Notice that the entries I ve made in the have been automatically entered on the sticky note (Gratitude Tracker) This is the sticky note. Keep it open all the time. It will go behind the other programs you re working on. You can minimize it if you want. Then look for it in the system tray.
15 Here I made an entry on the sticky note. I do not have the open. Then I opened up the Gratitude Journal again (remember that the splash screen with the picture of the journal will show up first). Note that the entry I made on the sticky note, is already in the journal. There is no need to copy things over or enter things twice.
16 Once the Journal is open again, I make another entry in the journal. When I pull up the sticky program (the Gratitude Tracker) up, note that that same note has been automatically added to it. You are now ready to go to work receiving your blessings from the Universe once you start listing AND feeling your gratitude. If you have any questions, contact me at GettingUnstuck@mindspring.com Be sure to return to our website Terrie Wurzbacher
