3 Accessing esource A Net-Inspect user can be provided with access to esource by selecting the Customer Inspector or Customer Administrator role in the esource section of his or her profile (Figure 1). This can only be done by a Super or Setup Administrator. 1. Select the Quality Management tab at the top of the Net-Inspect application 2. Expand (+) Company and User Setup 3. Expand (+) Users 4. Select Edit Users 5. Click the User ID of the user requiring esource access 6. Fill the "Customer Inspector or Customer Administrator esource checkbox (Figure 1) 7. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the screen. Both Customer Inspectors and Customer Administrators have the ability to approve/fail inspections and assign blocks. Only Customer Administrators can create and modify checklists, as well as provide commodity access to Suppliers and Inspectors. Figure 1: esource Supplier Inspector privilege 3 P a g e

4 Once the user has been provided with access, he or she can log in to esource via the following steps: The user can then log in to esource via the following steps: 1. Navigate to the Net-Inspect homepage 2. Provide a User ID and click the Sign in button 3. Click the esource link 4. Provide Net-Inspect login information on the esource login page (Fig. 2). 5 Configuration The configuration page is used to customize the inspection procedures associated with each commodity type (Fig. 3). esource provides a default set of commodity types; new commodities can be requested at any time. To add to your list of commodities, select a commodity from the drop down menu and click the Add button. Commodities may be blocked or unblocked through this page by clicking the appropriate link. This option allows you to block all inspections of a commodity. Each commodity can and should be 1. Provided with a unique checklist 2. Assigned to approved suppliers 3. 6 Checklist Checklists provide your suppliers with inspection guidelines (Fig. 4). One failed answer results in a blocked inspection. Only Customer Administrators can create or make changes to a checklist. Three different types of questions can be added to checklist by clicking the Yes/No, Free Form, and Multiple Choice links. Once added, a question can be deleted by clicking its corresponding Remove link. Figure 4: Commodity checklist Suppliers The Suppliers page is used to select the suppliers responsible for performing inspection on a particular commodity (Fig. 5). Customer Administrators can click the Find Available Suppliers tab to search for and link a supplier to the chosen commodity type. To be selected, the supplier must have a Net-Inspect account. A supplier s inspections may be blocked by clicking the corresponding Block link. 6 P a g e

7 Figure 5: Commodity suppliers Inspectors Inspectors are responsible for performing source inspections on behalf of a supplier (Fig. 6). Administrators can click the Find Available Inspectors tab to approve an inspector for performing source inspections on a Commodity. To be selected, the inspector must have a Net- Inspect user account and his or her company must be designated as a Supplier of the selected commodity.
