1 Windows 10 and Office 2016: Controlling Windows with gestures Controlling Windows with gestures If you use a touchscreen or tablet, you no longer need a mouse or keyboard when working with Windows. Instead you can give commands simply with your fingers (gestures), or enter text and characters via an on-screen keyboard that can be displayed at any time. Basic techniques of gesture control Tap Tap the object briefly with the tip of your finger. To open an object on the desktop, tap it briefly twice. Press and hold Press on the object with your fingertip for 2-3 seconds. As soon as you remove your finger from the object, the context menu opens with a specific set of commands. Drag to another position Drag the object to the new position. The object is moved to the relevant position. HERDT-Verlag 1

Thumbnails of all open apps are displayed. To display one of these apps again in full-screen mode, tap the thumbnail. You can also create a new desktop in this way. Swipe to the right/left or up/down Drag a point on the screen slightly to the right/left or up/down to scroll. This moves the displayed screen content in the desired direction. In some apps you can only use this gesture to scroll horizontally or vertically. In many apps you can also drag the horizontal/ vertical scroll bar to scroll in the relevant direction. In Tablet mode you drag an app from the top edge of the screen to the bottom edge to close it. 2 HERDT-Verlag

Increase the distance between thumb and forefinger by stretching them apart. This increases the size of the display of the screen content in open apps. Pinch Touch a point on the screen with your thumb and forefinger stretched apart. Decrease the distance between thumb and forefinger by pinching them together.
