1 How to download and Install Kurzweil 3000 V14 Web License client software on your computer - Windows 1. Download and SAVE the Version 14 Web License Client from Kurzweil to your computer. Make certain you are aware of where the installer file is downloaded to, i.e. Saving to your default Downloads folder is recommended. For the Windows version goto: - Then click the Version 14 (Web License), see screenshot below. For Windows System requirements please see Kurzweil website: *This download will take approx. 30 minutes on a computer connected with an Ethernet (network) cable and high speed internet or up to 2 hours on a wireless connection. Size =1.83 GB (A wired ethernet connection to your Modem/Router is recommended). For the Mac OS K3000 Web License product see the link and installation instructions at the bottom of this document. *If you have installed any previous versions of Kurzweil software on your computer you must uninstall them and reboot your computer. To uninstall previous software versions, goto WindowsXP - Start Menus /Control Panels / Add or Remove Programs, Windows7/8 - search Control Panels and select Programs & Features, select Kurzweil and choose uninstall. After you have successfully removed K3000, reboot your PC. If no previous versions of K3000 exist, move on to step 2. Choose Version 14 (web license)

2 2. You may be prompted to Run or Save the installation file, choose Save. 3. Find the downloaded file named K3000_k3_1401_W_WebLicence.exe (note: this name may change over the year to k3_1402, 1403, etc.), and double click the file to begin the installation. 4. Select Run.

3 5. Follow the prompts outlined in the following screenshots below (left to right and down).

4 6. After the installation is complete, you will be prompted to restart your PC, click Yes.

5 7. After your PC restarts, you should see the icons below on your Desktop. You may launch K3000 Web License by double clicking the Kurzweil 3000 icon. 8. You will then see a Login screen. Enter your Username and password provided by your School, then click OK. 9. 6 How to download and Install Kurzweil 3000 V14 Web License client software on your computer - Mac 1. Download and SAVE the Version 14 Web License Client from Kurzweil to your computer. Make certain you are aware of where the installer file is downloaded to, i.e. Saving to your default Downloads folder is recommended. For the Mac version goto: k3000_v14.html - Then click the Macintosh Web License, see screenshot below.

7 2. A.dmg file named K3000_ web.dmg will begin to download. 3. After the download is completed, find the file named K3000_ web.dmg and double click to install.

8 4. A window with three files will appear. Right click on your Mac s Desktop and create a New Folder. Name it K3000 v14. Drag and drop the three files named Kurzweil 3000.app, Read Me.rtf, Extras, into the folder you created and named K3000 v You may then drag the K3000 v14 folder into your Applications folder on your Mac. Once the folder is placed into the Applications folder, double click on the Kurzweil 3000.app to launch K3000 Web License.

9 6. You will then see a Login screen.
