3 Introduction The Content Locker is a mobile application that delivers content to your mobile devices. The Content Locker app allows you to access important content on your device while allowing your organization to ensure those files stay secure. Downloading and installing the Content Locker 1. Go to the Google Play Store and search for VMware Content Locker 2. Download the application by tapping on it, tap Install, then Accept Logging In to the Content Locker1. 1. Tap on the Content to load the application 2. Log in using the following information: Username: CWL Account Password: CWL Password Server URL: 2
4 Navigate the Content Locker Content Locker centralizes all your enterprise data in a single container and integrates existing content repositories on your mobile device. Toggle between the available screens to access and manage files. Using FIPS encryption, you can securely open, edit, store, and manage content on your device wherever you are. Content View The multi-functional Content view is the first screen you see after you open Content Locker, serving as the app s default view. It provides access to all available content and serves as a central navigation location. High-Priority Content Use the View Menu at the top of your screen to swipe to different AirWatch Content Locker for Android views. Updates View updates sent by your administrator. Activity Downloads Uploads Review download activity, organized by time of activity. View downloads, organized by download status. View and manage uploads. Top Navigation Access the following options from the top, right-hand corner of your screen: Return to the Content List View screen. Use keywords to search content. Add new documents, media, folders, or repositories directly in the app. Refresh content files and folders, including the folder you're currently in. Access additional options. 3
5 Side Navigation Access the following options from the side of your screen: Featured Content Views Repositories User Content Types of Repositories Access content your administrator flagged as important. View all available content in a single view. Access any content added since the last login to the AirWatch Content Locker. Access recently viewed or updated files. View the content you bookmarked for quick access. Access corporate content stored in enterprise repositories. You can read or edit files depending on access rights set up by your administrator. Access corporate content created for individual use. This content stores in the cloud, separate from share enterprise repository content. All content is stored in your organization's repositories where you can add the required files and folders. You may access one or more repositories depending on how your administrator set this up for you. Type Local Storage Files that are stored locally on your device and do not sync with your other personal content. Personal Content Corporate Content Files that are stored in the cloud and sync across your Self-Service Portal, Content Locker Sync client, or your other devices. Files that are stored in your corporate network in enterprise repositories enabled by your AirWatch administrator. When accessing corporate content, you may receive a prompt to enter credentials. Search and Sort Content Tap the Menu icon to access content searching and filtering options. Filter By Sort By Sort Order Settings Logout Filter to display a specific document type. Specify if you want your documents sorted Alphabetically or by Importance. Specify if you want to sort your documents in Ascending or Descending order. View current application settings. Log out of the AirWatch Content Locker and return to the login screen. 4
6 Add Content Use Content Locker to securely add and maintain content. Create New Content Tap the button to add content. This button appears on all of the content screens so that you can add new content any time. The following table explains the types of content you can add. Type Document Media Folder Repository Add Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Text files. Edit the files and then name and save the document appropriately. Add one or more photos and videos by filling out a form with a Naming Convention (required) to save and identify content later, then select Capture Media to Add the photos or videos. Or, capture audio and save it appropriately. Use Open In Functionality Add a folder and select a repository to save the folder. Enter a repository link, select Continue to complete the process. Use Open In functionality to open attachments or files from your web browser. attachment Tap the attachment link and tap Open In and select Content Locker from the list of options that appears in pop-up menu. Then, save the document appropriately. attachment with AirWatch Inbox Tap the attachment link and tap View > Content Locker (Content Locker will be the only option if the document is encrypted for security purposes) and the document opens in Content Locker. Then, save the document appropriately. File in the browser Tap the file and choose Open In > Copy to Content and the document opens in Content Locker. Then, save the document appropriately. Create a Default Import Location for Content Determine where to automatically import and store content when you open it on the device. 1. Navigate to Settings > Repositories > Import Documents To. 2. Choose either the Personal Content or Local Storage. Or, select Prompt me each time to make a choice each time you open a file. 5
7 Manage Content View and manage content directly in the app. Tap the menu icon that displays to the right of content in any list view to open a menu of content management options. Use the menu icons to organize and personalize the content. Manage Content Tap the icons on each content tile to perform actions or access additional functionality. Favorite Delete Extract Download Details Add to your Favorites list. Tap again to remove it from your Favorites list. Delete the file locally. A prompt appears asking for confirmation. Extract zipped files to a new repository or folder location. Download to the AirWatch Content Locker. View metadata on your file. Manage Personal Content In addition to the options listed above, you can apply a few other actions to Personal Content. Move Share Relocate files to a new Repository or folder location. This is only available if you have write/delete access to the folder where the files are located (for Personal Content not AirWatch content). A Move dialog displays where you can select where to move files. Utilize link sharing to collaborate on projects and configure the Security Settings for Sharing if they are not preset by the Administrator. Share Personal Content via or text message. Additionally, you can copy the file to your clipboard, view the link or remove the document link. 6
8 View Content Content Locker distinguishes its viewing experience between Microsoft Office and Adobe files. View Microsoft Office Content After opening a file, a menu of options displays to help you find the content you need, as quickly as possible. The available menu changes by file type. Remove the menu options for a cleaner reading view. Tap to open a menu where you can search by entering keywords. Use the arrows that appear to navigate through the instances of the found word in your document. Found words are emphasized with a highlight. Tap to open a menu displaying additional options. The options displayed change by file type. Tap to enable or disable track changes on new documents. For existing documents with track changes, Content Locker track changes feature is enabled by default. Select the text and tap View Changes to see the changes along with the name of the user who made the change. Tap to open a menu displaying different track changes options. Tap to switch to Annotation Mode after enabling Edit mode. Screen Mirroring You can view the content displayed within Content Locker on a secondary screen (laptop or desktop computer) using third party screen mirroring apps like Vysor. The Enable Screenshot option in DLP setting must be enabled for Content Locker to support screen mirroring. Switch to Edit Mode Tap to open a menu displaying additional options. Select from the menu that appears to switch to edit mode. Content Locker supports viewing and editing of password protected.docx,.pptx,.xlsx, and.txt files. Content Locker also supports viewing of macro enabled.docm,.pptm, and.xlsm files. 7
9 View IRM Content You can view Microsoft Information Rights Management (IRM) enabled content in Content Locker. When you open an IRM enabled file, Content Locker displays Microsoft IRM terms and conditions pop-up window. Accepting the Microsoft IRM terms and conditions redirects you to the Microsoft Rights Management login page. Enter your credentials to access the file in view mode. IRM enabled files are read-only. Remove the menu options for a cleaner reading view. Tap to open a menu where you can search by entering keywords. Use the arrows to navigate through the instances of the word found by the search in your document. Found words are emphasized with a highlight. Tap to open a menu displaying view settings. View Adobe Content Tap to open a menu of editing options and switch to edit mode. Tap to open a menu where you can search by entering keywords. Use the arrows to navigate through the instances of the word found by the search in your document. Matched keywords are emphasized with a highlight. Tap to open a list of shortcut viewing options. Tap to open a menu displaying additional options. The options displayed change by file type. Edit Mode Options After opening an Adobe Acrobat PDF document, you can annotate and edit it directly in the app. You can now edit password protected PDF files. Content Locker also supports PDF forms. Use the following tool bar to annotate or edit files. Each open PDF document appears in a row of tabs across the PDF viewer. Tap the icon and tap the screen to add a comment. Add text in the Note field, if desired. Tap the icon. Select the desired text marking from the menu that appears. Drag your finger along the text that you want to apply the marking. Apply any of the available markings to the selected text. Tap the icon. Select the desired shape from the menu that appears. Drag your finger along the screen to set the size of the chosen shape. Every time you touch the screen, you add a new shape to the file. Tap the icon and trace the desired free form shape or image onto your file. 8
10 Tap the icon. Lasso the annotations you want to select by tracing a circle around them with your fingertip. Once lassoed, a menu appears allowing you to further customize your annotations. Tap the icon and drag your finger on the screen to rapidly pan the screen in the desired direction while editing. Exit Options There are several options you can choose from when leaving the content viewer. 1. Tap the file type icon in the top, left hand corner of the viewer to open a menu of exit options. The icons change by file type. The icon provided above is what you will see when viewing a Word document. 2. Select your desired option from the menu that appears: Save the file to a selected location. Share the file in an . Return to the Content View. 9
11 Share and Collaborate on Content Securely share information about the documents with collaborators directly in the app. Use Features for Sharing Content Add collaborators to files and folders and assign role-based access to each collaborator. Remove as needed. Secure shared documents by requiring a passcode for file access. Limit the number of days the document is available and the maximum allowed number of downloads. Share files and folders by creating unique links for distribution through , text message or copy and paste the link as needed. View shared links and unshare as needed. Use the following tools found on any of the content cards or in content list views: Share the file by creating a Password (required) on the form. Tap Share to edit the Security Settings and finish filling out the form. Choose Link Sharing Options or unshare the file. Share the folder with other employees by tapping Add Collaborators and give them role-based access to the folder. Use the + icon to add more collaborators. Swipe on collaborator names to show options for deleting names. Use the Self-Service Portal and Content Locker on the Desktop When you upload or download files or folders to your Personal Content repository, they automatically sync with the Self-Service Portal (SSP) on the cloud and with your Content Locker Sync client on your desktop computer, if available. The menus in both of these locations mimic the functionality offered in the Content Locker app for your device, so you can access, add, edit and manage content using similar processes as in the application. Log In to the SSP Navigate to your SSP through your web browser using the link that your administrator provided. 1. Access the SSP by navigating to After you log in, you see your enrolled devices. 2. Select My Content. The dashboard displays. You are now logged into Self-Service Portal. You can download additional applications to help leverage your productivity on your computer. 10

13 Use Content Locker, Content Locker Sync and Outlook Add-In Use Content Locker applications on your desktop by downloading them from the Self-Service Portal, if allowed by your administrator. Find available application downloads in the bottom-left corner of your SSP screen. See image above. Type Content Locker Content Locker Sync Outlook Add-In Access all your enterprise repositories on your computer. View and upload files as needed. Access your Personal Content repository from a locally designated folder on your computer. You can view, manage, edit, and save files in this folder and they will sync with the Self-Service Portal. Mac OS X Find this application at the top of the screen in the Apple Menu bar. PC Find this application at the bottom of the screen in the task bar. Sync important attachments with your Personal Content repository when using Outlook and convert attachments to secure HTML links that are embedded directly in the body. 12
