Tile size The default size of a new Tile (street map area) is 10 (The map area covered will be 10 miles wide by 10 miles long). The range of map sizes is from 1 to 200, so the map created can be from 1 mile wide by 1 mile long up to 200 miles long and 200 miles wide. The size of the area covered can be changed using the slider bar below the map. To view the size of the area check the Size box below the map. Map/Tile Owner The Owner party is the person or account that owns the street map that has been created. The default setting is for the street map to be owned solely by the Slingshot login being used. To change the Owner party select the drop down menu and choose from the list that appears. If the Owner party is changed to, say, a client or company account, anyone with administrative rights to the client or company account will be able to see and download the street map. In the below example Slingshot End User is the person s log in. If Slingshot End User is chose then only that person will have access to the street maps he or she creates. If Slingshot End User, Inc. is chose then anyone that is an administrator of that company account with-in Slingshot has access to the street maps created.

NOTE: For more information on permissions and security roles of the Slingshot website visit the Public Knowledgebase articles on and search for How to use the Slingshot Website. Name Type in a Name for the Tile for use later and also to be able to distinguish between created Tiles that are displayed on the left side of the page under the Create Map bar. Create When all fields have been filled select the Create button to create the Tile. The Tile will be added to the screen on the left side under the Create Map bar A size as well as a center-point Latitude and Longitude can be entered manually, along with a name, and a Tile created without making any selections on the map itself, if desired. Once a Name, Size, Latitude, and Longitude have been entered select the Create button at the bottom for the Tile to be created. Download The Street Map (RSM) file can be saved on the computer or on a USB stick to transfer to the Viper 4 Field Computer. Viper 4 Upload Insert the USB memory stick into the USB port on the Viper 4. Tap the Administrator bar at the top of the Viper 4. (In some cases, this may have a different name from Administrator). Tap the File Manager button.

Select the USB Import Manager tab then select the USB being used from the drop down list and then choose Streetmaps as the file type form the corresponding drop down menu. Choose the blue arrow at the bottom of the screen to continue.

It is important to know where the Street Maps were stored when saved to the computer or USB memory stick. The root directory of the USB stick is recommended as that is usually the easiest place to find the files. The file name will be the name that was assigned when the map file was created on the Slingshot Website. Select the desired streetmaps files to import into the Viper 4 then select the copy or move icon to the right side of the Viper 4 screen. Confirm the import of the file(s) by selecting the green check mark

The Viper 4 will confirm when the file transfer has been completed.
