4 1 Single File Uplad Nte: Yu must have valid Relativity Cmmunity credentials in rder t dwnlad any Cmmunity file linked t frm the dcumentatin site. Yu'll need t enter thse credentials n the Cmmunity lgin screen if yu're nt already lgged in. If yu're already lgged in t the Cmmunity at the time yu click a link, the file is autmatically dwnladed in the bttm left crner f yur screen. If yu get an errr message stating "URL N Lnger Exists" after clicking a Cmmunity link, it may be due t a single sign-n errr related t the SAML Assertin Validatr, and yu shuld cntact yur IT department. The Single File Uplad applicatin gives users the ability t add new dcuments t Relativity withut using the Relativity Desktp Client. This applicatin is available fr dwnlad in the Relativity Cmmunity. Search fr the name f the file, and then select the Files tab in the search results. Nte: As f the release, Single File Uplad is n lnger a supprting applicatin and will appear as a cre feature upn upgrade. Permissins fr SFU are turned ff by default. 1.3 Installing Single File Uplad In Relativity, cnfirm that yu have the apprpriate system admin permissins t install the applicatin. T add the applicatin t the Applicatin Library: 1. On the Applicatins & Scripts tab, click the Applicatin Library tab. 2. Click Uplad Applicatin. 3. Click Brwse, navigate t and select the Single File Uplad rap file, and then click Open. 4. Click Save. 5. Click Install in the Wrkspaces Installed sectin t install the applicatin n wrkspaces. 6. Click in the Wrkspaces field t display the Select Wrkspaces dialg. 7. Select a wrkspaces t install the applicatin, and then click Ok. 8. Click Clear t remve a wrkspace frm the list. 9. Click Save t install the applicatin t the selected wrkspaces. Nte: Yu need t have the Add Dcument permissin t access the New Dcument buttn. Nte: Once Single File Uplad has been installed, the New Dcument buttn will appear in all wrkspaces where it is installed. Yu can nly remve the buttn by uninstalling Single File Uplad at the wrkspace level r by remving the Add Dcument permissin frm individual users. 1.4 Accessing Single File Uplad Access Single File Uplad within a wrkspace in the Dcuments tab. 6 1. Click New Dcument. A pp up appears. 2. Drag and drp yur file here r click n the pp up t select a file that yu want t uplad. 3. When the dcument uplads successfully, a green check mark appears Uplading existing dcuments If yu uplad a dcument that shares a name with a dcument that already exists in Relativity, Single File Uplad gives yu the ptin t either replace the file r cancel. 7 On replace, all existing meta data will remain intact, except fr the fllwing fields, which Relativity verwrites: FileName FileSize FileExtensin Extracted text Replacing dcuments Yu can replace a dcument in the viewer by using the Replace Dcument buttn. Yu can access this buttn thrugh a layut in the viewer. Nte: Yu need edit, add, and delete dcument permissins t access the Replace Dcument buttn. T replace a dcument in the viewer: 1. Open a dcument. 2. Navigate t the layut and click Replace Dcument. 3. A pp-up windw appears where yu can drag and drp r uplad a new dcument. 8 Relativity Native Type Supprted By Viewer System Created By System Created On System Last Mdified By System Last Mdified On FileName FileSize FileExtensin If yu replace a dcument with a dcument that shares the same name, all existing meta data will remain intact, except fr the fllwing fields, which Relativity verwrites: FileName FileSize FileExtensin Extracted text Supprted file types Single File Uplad prvides the capacity t uplad any dcument frmat als supprted by the legacy ActiveX viewer. If yu uplad a file type that is nt supprted, yu receive an errr message and Single File Uplad gives yu the ptin t uplad a new dcument r cancel. 1.5 Single file uplad fr prcessing errrs If yu have the Single File Uplad applicatin installed n yur wrkspace, yu have the ptin f pening an individual prcessing errr, dwnlading the errred file, and uplading the repaired file as a replacement after yu reslve the errr utside f Relativity. This is available thrugh the Errr Actins cnsle, which appears n the Prcessing Errr Layut nly after yu've installed the Single File Uplad applicatin and then cnfigured yur envirnment with the assistance f a supprt representative. Nte that this ptin is available nly fr dcument-level errrs that have a status f Ready t Retry. Single File Uplad Guide 8

9 Nte als that the Errr Actins cnsle is hidden frm the errr layut if the ptin t Dwnlad and uplad files with prcessing errrs is nt checked fr the Prcessing Errr bject in the wrkspace security cnsle. In rder t access this functinality, every user, including system administratrs, must be included in a grup where this ptin has been manually checked after installing r upgrading the Single File Uplad applicatin. Nte: The Dwnlad and uplad files with prcessing errrs permissin was added in Relativity T uplad a single file fr a prcessing errr, perfrm the fllwing steps: 1. Navigate t the Prcessing Errrs tab, lcate the errr yu'd like t reslve and click n the name f the errr in the Message field t get t the errr details layut. Single File Uplad Guide 9

10 2. Click Dwnlad File n the Errr Actins cnsle n the right side f the layut. Nte that when yu d this, yu're dwnlading the dcument frm the same flder patch displayed in the Dcument file lcatin field n the errr layut. 3. Once the file appears in the lwer-right hand crner f yur brwser windw, either pen r save it t yur lcal machine. Single File Uplad Guide 10

11 4. Outside f Relativity, address the errr t repair the file. Fr example, if the errr was due t passwrd prtectin because yu didn't previusly prvide that passwrd in the Passwrd Bank, enter it nw t decrypt the file and then save the decrypted file t yur lcal machine s that yu can uplad it here. 5. Once yu've repaired the file, return t the errr details layut and click Uplad Replacement File n the Errr Actins cnsle. Single File Uplad Guide 11

12 Yu must uplad a file f the same extensin as the file yu dwnladed r yu will receive the fllwing errr. If yu receive this errr, either click Uplad New Dcument t return t yur file explrer r click Cancel t return t the errr layut. 6. Cnfirm that the uplad cmpleted successfully. Nte that when yu replace a dcument in this way, the Dcument file lcatin, File ID, and Name values f the replacement dcument are identical t thse f the file yu dwnladed. Single File Uplad Guide 12

13 7. Yu can nw replace mre dcuments r yu can prceed t retrying errrs in the prcessing set. Fr mre infrmatin n prcessing errrs, see Prcessing errr wrkflw Viewing audits When yu use single file uplad fr prcessing errrs, Relativity audits yur actins, which yu can view via the View Audit buttn n the prcessing errr layut. When yu pen the audit view, yu can see such actins as File Dwnlad and File Uplad, alng with the prcessing errr file dwnlad and replacement paths, amng ther details. Nte: Auditing fr single file uplad fr prcessing errrs was added in Relativity Single File Uplad Guide 13

14 Yu can als access audit infrmatin thrugh the Histry tab by filtering n the Object Type field fr PrcessingErrr and n the Actin field fr File Dwnlad and/r File Uplad. Single File Uplad Guide 14
