1 Quick Start Guide This dcument may nt be fully cmprehensive f all features in the i-hds Suite, but it will give an verview f features t lk fr all arund the i-hds sftware Suite. Fr assistance with i- HDS dwnlad and installatin related issues, refer t the installatin instructins received after yur subscriptin purchase. Always be sure t adhere t the PC Minimum Requirements utlined n Service Express befre installing HDM and i-hds. Overview: Fr Hardware, the i-hds sftware Suite wrks with bth the DST-i Vehicle Cmmunicatin Interface (VCI), and the MVCI. Fr mre details n interface device selectin, see Feature 1 belw. Please refer t the techinf.hnda.cm fr mre infrmatin n these, and ther apprved VCIs. Fr sftware, HDS r i-hds is aut-selected depending n the mdel and mdel year f the cnnected vehicle when launching the diagnstic sftware.

2 Feature 1 The Hnda Launch Pad The Hnda Launch Pad allws the user t select which VCI will be used fr the current diagnstic sessin. This VCI selectin prpagates t the diagnstic applicatin, the J2534 Rewrite applicatin, and the Immbilizer applicatin. Feature 2 Hme Menu The Hme Menu is the diagnstic dashbard. This menu is the start screen f the diagnstic sftware suite. The user can access bth HDS and i-hds sftware by clicking the Cnnect t the Vehicle buttn. Frm there, the sftware reads the VIN t determine whether t launch HDS r i-hds.

3 Features 3 Applicatins Anther vital applicatin accessible frm the Hme Menu is the J2534 Rewrite Pass-Thru ECU reprgramming sftware. Always refer t a Service Bulletin befre perfrming any ECU reprgramming. Als accessible frm the Hme Menu is the Immbilizer Setup Tl. All key and remte registratin, amng ther functinality, is available within this applicatin. This applicatin requires that a user purchase a Security Prfessinals (Lcksmith) subscriptin. Please refer t techinf.hnda.cm fr additinal infrmatin.

4 Features 4 i-hds Main Menu & Navigatin There are a number f useful features n the i-hds vehicle selectin menu. A few are utlined in this dcument, but feel free t navigate and explre i-hds t find mre. Nte: The i-hds (and HDS) will lck ut if a user has nt signed in t Service Express. i-hds Navigatin Highlights: Fixed tp Navigatin bar mirrrs Windws Explrer peratin (Hme/Back/Frward) DTCs and Data List/Snapsht menu added n tp level menu Buttns fr frequently used Functin Test and Adjustment items added Legacy style System Select menu, and 5 custmizable buttns available Hvering ver n-screen icns prvides an icn descriptin The blue questin mark icn will prvide helpful infrmatin n each screen

5 Highlights: System Selectin menu is clr-cded t assist in lcating accessable systems n vehicle Multiple systems can be selected and viewed at the same time fr the DTC mnitr, Data List, and Snapsht (CAN systems supprt multi-system diagnsis) Small blue arrws usually mean there is drp dwn menu available Linegraphs can be viewed acrss multiple systems at the same time Units can be changed in the Data List page by clicking n the unit The size f the Data List windw is adjustable by dragging the divider Snapsht pre-trigger begins autmatically upn entering a Data List All DTC Check speed is dwn t abut 20 secnds (a 90% imprvement) Systems with stred DTCs are displayed at the tp f the DTC list Readiness Mnitrs and OBD Status are lcated n the All DTC Check Screen Easy access t Freeze Data and On-Bard Snapsht (FD/OBS) frm the DTC mnitr DTC Clear buttn fr simplified cde clearing frm multi-system DTC mnitr Trubleshting: Fr dwnlad and installatin issues, refer t dcumentatin available n techinf.hnda.cm.
