3 THE REMIXING STUDIO 2 Remixing Studio Track Indicators Double-click to load sounds Scratching Click-and-Drag the mouse in this area of either turntable to scratch. FX Studio Macro Tabs Press the function key to trigger Macro Activate Platter Click to select a group of 8 tracks. 4 THE RECORDING STUDIO 3 Recording Studio Overdub & FX Name Display Load a Wav or previous overdub Overdub Volume Slider Use to adjust your Overdub FX percentage Slider Use to increase / decrease % of applied effect to overdub Metronome Mode On/Off Allows you to use internal Windows beep as a metronome. Record light blinks at current tempo Auto-Trim Removes silences at the beginning & end of recordings Auto-Normalize Boosts the level of the recording by setting the overall gain Master Input Slider Active prior to making a Sample or Overdub Overdub Graphic Display Channel Indicates a stereo Overdub is recording Remix Performance Graphic Display Channel Indicates a loaded performance. Provides help and hints when you mouse-over items on screen s the recording of either a Sample or Overdub. Play Engages a playback for Samples or Overdubs Record Click Record to make a sample or OverDub Load to Mix Click here to load the Wav directly back into the Remixing Studio when in sample mode. Back Back to Control Room Save Saves either the sample or the OverDub session Performance Volume Slider Controls the volume for your Remix Studio Performance Sample Mode Selector Overdub Mode Selector CD Player Controls Launch the Windows CD Player that controls input for sampling. Edit Sound File Launches chosen sound editing program for editing in Sample Mode. Volume Controls Click to launch the Windows Controls for volume settings. Full Speaker Mode Hear your input signal while recording. Beware of Feedback! Headphone Mode Recommended Mode. Input will sound in headphones, not speakers. Solo / Mute Indicators Time Length Indicator Indicates Length of your performance or overdub Mixman

FX Saves the TRK of Wav with processing will be saved the FX processing. Be careful with Mix file. to rename the file if you want to keep the original. 7 TRACKMAKER STUDIO 6 Track Maker Studio Volume & Pitch Parameter Stepper Control pitch and/or volume for each step on the grid. Click the pitch button or volume button to select parameter. Tempo Slider Adjusts Tempo Micro Tempo Adjust Adjusts Tempo Copy Grid Row Cut Grid Row Paste Grid Row Clear Grid Row Clear Parametrics Load TRK to FX Studio Volume Knobs Controls the volume of the overall sound source Sample Sound Source Slot Select any of the 8 slots to load a sound source. Wav format only Pattern Mode Click to activate. Audition up to 12 patterns. Sequence Mode Click to activate. Audition up to 8 loaded patterns. Mute / Solo Indicators Mute or Solo a sound source while in play mode Provides help and hints when you mouse-over items on screen Play Use stop Use play mode to load mode to hear and reload patterns or samples sequences Save TRK File Save your sequence as a trk file remixing studio Load TRK to Mix Load a saved trk to the Explode TRK Exploding reveals all samples within a trk file, for use as a source file in the TM studio. Open TMX File Opens a previous TM session. Back Save TMX File Saves the state of the TM studio, including loaded samples, patterns & sequences. Pattern tabs P1 - P12 Click on tab to activate. Create up to 12 different grid patterns for each set of sounds. Step Pulser Display Displays each step as it pulses across the grid Copy Grid Pattern Cut Grid Pattern Paste Grid Pattern Clear Grid Pattern Clear Entire Sequence Row Clear Individual Sequence Slot Loop Length Slider Adjust the length of a pattern in the Grid anywhere from 4 to 16 steps. Sequence Row In Mode, right mouse click on any of the 8 cells in the Sequence Row to load any of 12 patterns. Main Grid Click on the individual grid cells to activate or de-activate. There are 16 cells to a row for each sound source. Bright Green indicates active, and will respond to parametric adjustments.
