1 Hw t Start a New Prezi & Edit It Lg int accunt Click n Select a template. Each template cntains frames, which are used t grup like items, and are similar t slides in PwerPint. The rder in which yur presentatin/stry is tld is called the path. Select individual thumbnails (f the frames) n the left t view the whle canvas r individual frames. Yu may als rerder the path by dragging thumbnails up r dwn. Adding Frames (similar t a slide) T add a new frame: select the type f frame that wrks best with yur template frm the Frame drp dwn list. Then click n the + t add the frame. Use invisible frames t zm in n a picture r a part f a slide. The thumbnail will appear at the end f yur presentatin. Drag the thumbnails up r dwn t change the rder f yur presentatin/stry. Shrt-cut t edit a Frame On the canvas, right-click n a frame t see a variety f editing ptins. 1

2 Editing the Path (Adding t and/r changing the rder f yur presentatin) When yu add a frame, ften a new thumbnail will autmatically appear n the Left Sidebar. If it des nt, yu will need t add it t the path. Click n Edit the Path n the left side bar. Make sure yu are zmed ut, and yu can see the whle canvas. If nt click n the very tp thumbnail n the Left Sidebar. Numbers will appear next t elements that are already n yur path. Click n the new frames in the rder yu wish t present them. A number will appear next t the frame and a thumbnail will be added t the Left Side bar. Click (n the upper right). Drag the thumbnails up r dwn t change the rder f yur presentatin. Nte: If yu are unable t edit the path, it may be because yur canvas is lcked. T unlck it, click the padlck icn that appears n the right f yur screen. Yu may have t hver the muse n the right side f the screen fr the icn t appear. Deleting a path step T delete a path step, click n Edit Path, hver ver the tp-right edge f a thumbnail t bring up a red "X" buttn. Click n it t remve that path pint frm yur presentatin. It will nt delete the frame itself. Click n the Dne buttn in the upper right. Transfrmatin Tl Use the Transfrmatin Tl t edit elements thrughut yur Prezi. When n the canvas (tp thumbnail) click n a frame. Click n the hand and drag it t mve the frame. Everything within the frame will mve with it. Click n the + t make the frame larger, click n the t make the frame smaller. Hver ver a white square, when yu see a duble arrw, click & drag t stretch the frame larger r smaller. When yu see a curved arrw, click and drag t rtate the frame. Everything within the frame will als be rtated r stretched. T change the slide rder, n the left slide menu, drag and drp the slide t the desired lcatin. Click n Zm t Frame t view that frame/slide by itself. Then yu can add r edit its cntents. Click n Favrite t save the item fr reuse in this r ther Prezi presentatins. 2

3 Editing text Click n a frame frm the path n the left OR click inside a frame n the canvas t edit it. Click t add text. Once text has been added, click n the bx, then click the hand and drag it t mve the text. Use the tl bar t edit the text. Yu may switch between Title, Subtitle, and Bdy. Yu may als change the fnt style, clr, size, add bullets, r change the backgrund clr f the text bx. All text in a bx will be the same size. Adding a text bx T add a text bx, duble click where yu wuld like t insert the text. Select the Subtitle fnt style fr headings within a frame. Duble click t add anther text bx and chse the Bdy style, then type in yur text. Three Fnt Styles Fnt Size Fnt clr Fnt style Bld Italics Bkgrnd Bullets Align Inrease/Increase clr Text Indent Inserting images, vides, music, symbls, shapes Adding an image Click insert. Select image. Either select files r d a Ggle Image Search. Edit the image by clicking n it nce. Editing an Image Click n an image, click the hand and drag it t mve the image. Click n the + t make the image larger, click n the t make the image smaller. Hver ver a white square, when yu see a duble arrw, click & drag t stretch the frame larger r smaller. When yu see a curved arrw, click and drag t rtate the frame. Click n Crp Image t crp the picture. Click n Effects t pen the Pht Editr, t crp, and t add effects. 3

4 Custmize Yur Backgrund Image r Theme Click n Custmize Chse a file t change a backgrund image. Select a new theme. It will give yu a new set f fnts and clrs fr yur presentatin. Yu may revert t the riginal theme if yu d nt like the new ne. Presenting Click n t view yur Prezi. Click n the esc key n yur keybard t return t edit view. Saving and Lgging Out Prezi shuld save autmatically, but click the save icn. Click n exit t Save and lgut f Prezi. 4

5 Hw t Add Fade-In Animatin Lg int Prezi. Select a Prezi and click edit. Yu may nly add animatin within a frame. If yu want t animate smething that is nt already within a frame yu will have t add a frame arund the element. 1. Within Edit Mde, click Edit Path n the bttm left-hand side f the Prezi editr. 2. Click the star symbl t the left f the frame that yu want t animate. (If yu d nt see the star appear, it may be because yur canvas is lcked. T unlck it, click the padlck icn that appears t the right f yur screen. 3. Once the animatin wizard has appeared, click n the element that yu want t fade in. A number will appear in a green star icn t the tp-left f the element. That number crrespnds t the rder in which that element will fade in t yur frame. 4. T preview hw the varius elements f the frame will appear as they fade in, click the Play triangle at the tp-right f the animatin wizard windw. 5. If yu are nt happy with the rder in which yur elements are fading in, click the 'Reset' buttn lcated in the tp-left crner f the animatin wizard windw. This will remve all animatins frm yur chsen frame. 6. When yu are happy with yur animatins, click the 'Dne" buttn in the tp-right crner. Nte: Yu can fade in multiple items f cntent at nce if yu place them in a grup. T grup items: g t the canvas, select an bject yu wish t add t a grup, then hld dwn the ctrl (cmmand n Macs) key and click n all ther bjects yu wish t add t the grup. Click grup.] Hwever, if yu later grup new cntent with any f the elements that yu have previusly animated, the new cntent will nt fade in with thse elements. Yu have t reset the animatin and red it. 5
