4 SW Requirements Please make sure fllwing cmpnents are installed n yur cmputer befre cmmencing OS installatin. Zebra Andrid USB Driver V2.2 r higher Andrid Debug Bridge versin r higher TC20/TC25 Nn-GMS Andrid OS Release Images Image Cmpatibility T use this Update, the terminal must have the BSP NN-00-M1 installed as the baseline OS. Installatin Instructins Using the adb sidelad methd Assumptins 1. ADB installed n PC 2. TC20/TC25 has Develper ptins enabled 3. USB debugging ON Prcedure 1. Plug the TC20/TC25 int the USB & Charging Cable and then the Cable t the PC. If yu have a Cradle with USB cnnectivity, cnnect it nw. 2. Yu may need t pull dwn ntificatin bar, and tap n the ntificatin which says, USB charging this device, and change it t Transfer files. 3. Open Cmmand Prmpt n PC, run adb devices and check t see if yu can see the device s serial number If yes, prceed if nt yu will need t get the PC set up with the prper drivers r install an External SD Card. 4. Yu may als get a pp up n yur PC (Win 7) that yu will be cnnected as a Prtable Media Player this can be ignred. 5. Entering Recvery Mde a. Chice 1: In Cmmand Prmpt, type adb rebt recvery and click enter. b. Chice 2: i. Rebt and hld PTT key ii. When Zebra Technlgies lg appears n the screen Release the PTT Key 6. Yur TC20/TC25 will rebt and take yu t Andrid Recvery screen. 7. T select Sidelad Methd a. 5 8. With yur Cmmand Prmpt, pen, type adb sidelad and add a space and then drag and drp the zip file which yu want t apply t the device and press enter. a. When the file dwnlad starts, the cmmand windw will shw prgress with a percentage cmpleted. b. Device display will shw a series f messages indicating it is dwnlading, verifying and installing the image n t the device. 9. After successful update, the device will aut rebt and yu see Zebra n tp and POWERED BY andrid at the bttm and after abut 10 secnd will transitin t the TC20/TC25 Tuch Cmputer splash screen with 5 dancing white dts at bttm it will stay at this screen up t 4 minutes and then present the Lck Screen. 10. T make sure the OS Update tk place, nce the initial setup is cmplete; a. G t Settings and scrll dwn t Abut phne and lk at the Build number. It shuld state NN-00-M1-U03-STD and the Patch Versin shuld indicate as Nw yu are all set t use yur TC20/TC25. Using External SD Card 1.
