HomeKt technology Apple HomeKt technology provdes an easy, secure way to control HomeKt-enabled accessores usng Sr on your Phone, Pad, or Pod touch. After nstallng your FIBARO Wall Plug, confgure t from a compatble app wth just a few smple steps. You can even create your own custom scenes to control your home settngs. For example, you can create a scene to automatcally turn off the lghts, lock your doors, close the garage door, and set the thermostat to the desred temperature n just one step. To control ths HomeKt-enabled accessory, OS 10 or later s recommended. Controllng ths HomeKt-enabled accessory automatcally and away from home requres an Apple TV wth tvos 10 or later or an Pad wth OS 10 or later set up as a home hub.

3 3 #1: Descrpton and features FIBARO Wall Plug s a HomeKt-enabled smart plug usng W-F connecton and Bluetooth low energy wreless technology. Ths remotely controlled outlet adapter s equpped wth an actve power and energy meterng functon. It uses a LED rng to vsualze current consumpton and status. The Wall Plug may be operated usng the button on the casng or va an OS moble app through W-F. 4 4 #2: Parng the accessory Remember to keep your HomeKt Setup Code n safe place. You may need t n case of re-parng. Backup Setup Code s prnted on the label of the accessory, but requres enterng t manually. 1. Open the Settngs app on your OS devce. 2. Go to the W-F secton, turn the W-F on and connect to your preferred W-F network. 3. Go to the Bluetooth secton, and turn the Bluetooth on. 4. Plug the Wall Plug nto an electrcal socket. 5. The LED rng wll be flashng yellow when ready for confguraton. 6. Open a HomeKt compatble app of your choosng on your OS devce. 7. Open parng wndow n your HomeKt app to detect avalable accessores. 8. Choose Wall Plug you wsh to par. 9. When prompted, allow the Wall Plug to connect to your W-F network. 10. Wat untl the LED rng starts flashng volet. 11. You can dentfy t - Wall Plug wll trple blnk blue 3 tmes. 12. Fnd HomeKt Setup Code on the last page of Quck Start Gude ncluded n the box that looks lke ths: XXX-XX-XXX 13. Start parng wth your HomeKt app. 14. Pont your OS devce s camera at the Setup Code to scan t or enter the Setup Code manually. 15. If entered Setup Code s vald, the devce wll complete the setup process. 16. Follow nstructons dsplayed n the applcaton. Parng the accessory

5 5 #3: Reset Resettng the Wall Plug to factory defaults: Reset procedure allows to restore the accessory back to ts factory settngs ncludng HomeKt parng. 1. Make sure the accessory s powered. 2. Press and hold the button. Button 3. When the LED rng glows yellow, release the button. 4. Immedately clck the button agan to confrm. 5. Accessory wll glow red to confrm reset. 6. Delete the accessory from the app before parng t agan. Reset

6 6 #4: Functonalty Turnng ON/OFF electrcal devces: The Wall Plug can turn ON/OFF connected electrcal devce ether through OS moble app or button. Multcolor LED rng: The LED rng of the Wall Plug glows when devce s turned ON and dsplays current actve power consumpton. Addtonally LED rng allows to navgate the bult-n menu. Menu: The Wall Plug can be operated usng the bult-n menu. To enter and navgate the menu: 1. Press and hold the button. 2. Release the button, when the LED rng glows wth desred color: VIOLET - W-F range test RED - reset W-F settngs GREEN - reset energy counter YELLOW - factory reset 3. Immedately clck the button agan to confrm selecton. Dsablng the LED rng backlght: 1. Press and hold the button for about 3 seconds. 2. Release the button when the LED rng starts pulsng whte. To restore the LED rng backlght perform above procedure agan. Actve power meterng: The Wall Plug measures current actve power consumpton of connected devce and reports t to your OS devce. Measured value s ndcated wth color of the LED rng. Actve power measurng accuracy s ±1% for loads greater than 5W. Energy meterng: The Wall Plug counts energy consumed by connected devce and reports accumulated value to your OS devce. To reset energy counter: 1. Press and hold the button. 2. When the LED glows green, release the button. 3. Immedately clck the button agan to confrm. Functonalty

7 7 Plug nserton detecton: The Wall Plug detects f any devce s plugged nto t and reports t to your OS devce. Overload Control*: Functonalty allows to swtch off connected load after 4 seconds from exceedng the power set by the user n Fbaro for HomeKt app. Power Change Notfcaton*: Mnmum and maxmum allowed power consumpton may be defned by the user n Fbaro for HomeKt app. Exceedng any of these values results n sendng a notfcaton. * Functonalty avalable only n Fbaro for HomeKt app. Tmer Swtch*: Functonalty allows to set tme (n Fbaro for HomeKt app) after whch connected load wll be automatcally turned on/turned off. Tmer wll start after changng the ON/OFF state to opposte (through the app or connected wall swtch). If the devce state was changed before exprng of the set tme, the counter wll reset. It s possble to use both Turn ON and Turn OFF functonalty - t wll result n cyclc load control. Functonalty

8 8 #5: W-F W-F range test: The Wall Plug can measure W-F sgnal strength and ndcates t wth color of LED rng: Green good ( -45dBm) Yellow far ( -70dBm, < -45dB) Red weak (< -70dBm) To start range test: 1. Press and hold the button. 2. When the LED glows volet, release the button. 3. Immedately clck the button agan to confrm. 4. LED rng wll ndcate sgnal strength wth color. 5. Range test wll be dsabled after pushng the button. Resettng W-F settngs: The Wall Plug allows to reset ts W-F settngs and get new settng from your OS devce. To reset W-F settngs: 1. Press and hold the button. 2. When the LED glows red, release the button. 3. Immedately clck the button agan to confrm. 4. LED rng wll glow yellow for 30 mnutes, whle watng for new settngs from OS devce. W-F
