1 USER MANUAL HOW TO CONNECT XPUMP CORRECTLY? Due to the following reasons, we highly recommend you connect XPUMP via USB digital input: 1. The internal processor of XPUMP Premium is a DSP (Digital Signal Processor). After your device is connected to XPUMP via AUX input, the signal will be transformed into the digital type. The transformation will cause some signal loss and sound distortion. 2. XPUMP Premium supports headset microphone functions while connecting to PC or PS4 through USB audio input. Note: When the LED notification light turns yellow, it indicates that XPUMP is connected successfully through USB audio input. If XPUMP is connected via 3.5mm input and USB input at the same time, USB input will be recognized as audio input automatically. If ios device is connected to XPUMP: You may use Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter. Before connecting, please check if XPUMP Premium is fully charged. Otherwise, the ios device would be charging XPUMP Premium instead of outputting the audio sources. Instruction: ios device >> Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter >> USB input jack of XPUMP >> Output device (earphones or speakers)
2 If Android device is connected to XPUMP: Most Android devices support USB audio output and can be connected to XPUMP Premium. Yet, a few of them still don t support XPUMP. Please make sure that your device supports digital signal output before purchasing our product. Case 1: If your Android device has USB Type-C (e.g. Samsung S8, Switch), please use Type-C to USB A OTG adapter. Instruction: Android device >> Type-C to USB A OTG adapter >> USB input jack of XPUMP >> Output device (earphones or speakers) Case 2: If your Android device has Micro USB, please use Micro USB to USB A OTG adapter. Instruction: Android device >> Micro USB to USB A OTG adapter >> USB input jack of XPUMP >> Output device (earphones or speakers) If PS4 is connected to XPUMP: Please connect XPUMP Premium to the USB jack on the front panel of PS4. It is connected successfully when Microphone switched to USB headset pops up. You may double check it by going to settings >> devices >> audio devices >> input device, and it should be shown as the following picture.
3 If a computer is connected to XPUMP: XPUMP can directly be connected to the computer without installing a driver. Instruction: Computer (laptop or desktop) >> USB input jack of XPUMP >> Output device (earphones or speakers) For Windows: Once XPUMP is successfully connected, you may set XPUMP Premium as Default Device. Instruction: right-click Speakers on the lower right corner of the screen >> Sounds>> Playback and Recording>> right-click XROUND XP-02>>Set As Default Device

5 For Mac: Once XPUMP is successfully connected, you may go to System Preferences>> Sound>> Output/Input>> Select XROUNDXP-02 for sound input/output.

7 Q&A About XPUMP Premium Q1: How many volume levels does XPUMP Premium have? There are 21 volume levels in XPUMP Premium and the difference between two adjacent level is 1.5dB. Whenever the device is turned on, it will be reset at level 14. Therefore, you may either go up seven levels to the maximum or go down fourteen levels to mute. Q2: Is XPUMP Premium a DAC, an amplifier or an equalizer? XPUMP Premium is a smart sound processor, not a traditional DAC, amplifier, or equalizer, but a mixture of all three above. Q3: Does XPUMP Premium have a warranty? XPUMP Premium has a one-year warranty; please contact our customer service if you encounter any problem or malfunction. Connection Problem Q1: Is it able for XPUMP Premium to connect to a wireless speaker or earphone via Bluetooth? Currently XPUMP Premium is not able to connect via Bluetooth, it only has a 3.5mm audio output jack. If the wireless device also has a 3.5mm audio input jack, it can be connected to XPUMP Premium. Q2: Is it able for XPUMP Premium to connect to a car audio system? Yes, as long as there is a 3.5 audio input jack available in the car audio system of your car. Q3: Does XPUMP Premium work with the output speakers on computers and TVs? No, since most computers and TVs rarely have 3.5mm input jack (most of them only have output jack), so it is unable to link to the speakers on computers and TVs. It is recommended using an external speaker, and the quality will be better, too.
8 Q4: Does XPUMP Premium have a microphone function? Yes, the micro USB digital audio input supports headset microphone functions(pc, MAC and PS4 only.) Other Problem Q1: Is there any recommended speakers, sound-bars and headphones that would work well with XPUMP Premium? A: Most two-channel speakers and headphones on the market with a price of about $100 are fine. Q2: Which type of games is XPUMP Premium suitable for? Many users recommend playing first-person shooter games (e.g. CS, COD, Battlefield, PUBG), and horror games. You will be impressed after pairing with XPUMP! Q3: Which type of music is XPUMP Premium suitable for? It performs well particularly in EDM and rock music. Either live-recording or studiorecording music is great. Troubleshooting Q1: There is no sound. Please check if the connection is correct, and then check if XPUMP Premium is turned on. Q2: The effect is not obvious when using XPUMP Premium with a headphone. Please check if XPUMP Premium is on HEADPHONE mode. Q3: The effect is not obvious when using XPUMP Premium with a speaker. Please check if XPUMP Premium is on SPEAKER mode. In addition, some speakers have their own DSP and the effect might conflict with that of XPUMP Premium. In this case, please turn off the EQ or DSP of your computer or speaker.
9 Q4: Acoustic shock emerges when XPUMP Premium is connected by a 3.5mm cable input. When the signal is transported through 3.5mm cable into XPUMP Premium and the input volume is too high or too low, the internal processor of XPUMP Premium would not be able to acquire the signal completely, thus emerges acoustic shock. Generally, set the volume of your computer or smartphone at 30%~75% should be fine, and if there is an internal amplifier in the computer, you may set the volume a bit lower.
