1. Establishing a WiFi Connection WiFi carries out video transmission between the WICA Training Assistant and the mobile terminal, so there needs to be an established WiFi connection before proper use. WICA Training Assistant s WiFi connection has two forms: 1.Access Point (AP) mode; and 2. Station (Station, STA). Access Point mode (default) Access Point mode refers to the WICA camera as its WiFi access point (equivalent to the role of a router). After opening the WICA camera, wait for about 20 seconds after automation, and the WICA Camera will establish a name of the WiFi as WICA_XXXXXXXX network. From there, you can then choose to join the WiFi network from the WiFi settings of the wireless terminal. The initial password is After the successful connection, you can now use the WICA Training Assistant and its App to capture video in real-time. Figure 1. Establish a WiFi connection in Settings 1/
Station mode Station mode refers to the use of the existing WiFi networks (by other routers), the WICA camera and mobile devices will become a form of equipment to join the WiFi network. The main application of the model has two scenarios: 1. Wireless signals that are in a relatively dense area, access point mode creates video transmission due to environmental signal interference that may result in video disruption and other undesirable issues. 2. The distance between mobile device and WICA camera is relatively far ( meters), if this is the case, please use the Access Point mode. The device factory default uses the Access Point mode. In order to switch to Station mode, you need to enter the APP in the device information page setup. The setup needs to be carried out via Bluetooth. Make sure that the Bluetooth connection between the WICA camera and the mobile device is normal (see section for Bluetooth settings). In Settings, first enter the APP in the Personal page, and then click the Device Information option. After you enter the device information, click on the WiFi mode option. Figure 2. WiFi Settings Interface After entering the settings interface, you can see the Access Point (AP) mode and the Station (STA) mode and its switching option. Under this interface, first select the Station (STA) mode above, then enter the name 2/
and password of the WiFi network that you want to use in the SSID and password input box below. For your convenience, please ensure that the name and password are correctly entered. After input completion, click on the Settings button and the WICA camera will disconnect the current mobile device, and then use the password and router that you set to connect to the chosen WiFi network. Figure 3. Switching to Station(STA) Mode 2. Establishing Bluetooth Connectivity The App on the mobile device needs to connect to the WICA camera through Bluetooth connection in order to work, so it is required to establish a Bluetooth connection for normal use of the WICA camera. First, please make sure that the Bluetooth switch in the mobile device is turned on. After turning on the WICA camera, the Bluetooth module will start and wait for the mobile device to scan and connect. Open the App, and then on the upper left corner of the interface you will see the Bluetooth device logo, which you can drop down the Bluetooth device menu. When a WICA camera is connected for the first time, the name of the camera (WICA_XXXXXXXX) will appear in the device listed in the other devices section. Click to connect the WICA camera, and the App will start the connection process. 3/
Connected devices in the App will automatically be retained for future connection processes. Note: Due to the low power of Bluetooth connection, in order to ensure the quality of connection, please ensure that the WICA camera and mobile device are within the range of 3 meters of each other. 4. Delayed Video Figure 4. Establishing Bluetooth Connectivity The WICA training assistant can be used as a mirror after a completed action to help you see your previous action and facilitate the timely correction. Prior to using the Delay feature, please refer to the 1st and 2nd sections regarding the WiFi and Bluetooth connections. After the completion of connections, click on the screen below the central location of the button to enter the Delay Playback interface. As shown in Figure 5, the interface on the right side displays a Delay control scrollbar that can be set from 1 to seconds within the scope of the broadcasted delay. You can, according to your own training flow, set the appropriate time delay and will be able to see on the mobile device screen each action that was completed. Click the Recording button at the bottom of the interface to start video recording. Click the button again to stop the video recording. Once you stop the video recording, the App will prompt you to enter a file name. Enter a file name then click OK to save the video. By default, the video will be 4/
directly saved in the mobile device so that you can watch the completed video with Playback and Analysis. The WICA camera can also record via SD, simply insert the SD card into the slot of the WICA camera, and then click on the SD Card Recording switch. Once you switch to the SD card recording function, click on the Record button and your videos will now record via SD card, not via mobile device. Videos recorded by the WICA camera must be downloaded to the local mobile device in order to be viewed (for the specific operation, please see the section 5). Figure 5. Live Broadcast Interface Note: When the battery power is less than 20%, the batter icon s color will turn yellow; less than % the color will turn red. Once the icon turns red, please stop recording as soon as possible to prevent the loss of recorded video. 4. Video Playback In the video library, find which video you want to watch; click the thumbnail of the video, which will open the Video Return interface (please see Figure 6). In this interface, the App provides a single-frame playback control bar, a slow release speed-control button, a screenshot button, and a plethora of analytical tools for drawing lines. After training, you can use these features and tools to carry out detailed review and analysis of your 5/
actions. Videos can also be shown to your coach to provide you with further feedback. The Screenshot feature allows you to save results of analysis into a picture, which is easy to view and share on social network platforms. Figure 6. Video Playback Interface At the bottom of the screen shows the Single Frame Playback Control scrollbar; click and drag the scrollbar to pause the video. Dragging the scrollbar with your finger will allow you see your action frame-by-frame, allowing you to easily observe ever detail of movement from your action. The control bar on the right side is indicated as the 1x (or 0.5x, 0.25x) button. Click on the slow speed control button to switch back and forth between 3 options: 1 speed, 0.5 speed, and 0.25 speed. The right toolbar brings a wealth of line drawing tools. The toolbar at the top with the camera 6/
symbol is the screenshot button. The screenshot button captures the current screen image and will save as the Individual in the Pictures column. The image will contain the player on the screen with various auxiliary lines (Note: While watching your video in Video Playback, the right sidebar will be hidden; simply click on the right edge of the screen to the central position to display the toolbar). The Line Drawing tools feature, from top to bottom, the Rectangular, Round, Straight Line, and Arbitrary Curve tools. Among them, the linear tool has special automatic angle calculation ability. When you create 2 intersecting line segments on the screen, the screen will automatically display the included angle between the 2 lines. To undo the previous line, click the Undo button below the toolbar, and click the Clear button to clear all the lines on the current screen. The Single Frame Playback Control strip can be recognized as the blue colored timeline that shows above the video playback and will play in frames according to movement of the time label. Click the tab and drag left to rewind or right to fast forward in order to quickly find the preferred location you wish to see. 5. SD Card Recording and Playback Figure 7. Viewing the video on the SD card 7/
The WICA Training Assistant can record the training video in a micro SD card in order to save storage space in the mobile device. In the Delay Broadcast interface, open the SD card record switch, and then click on the Record button. Videos will now be recorded directly in the camera via SD card, and will not record in the local storage of your mobile device. After recording, you can view your video through the Video Library interface from the SD Card option page, as shown in Figure 7. To view the video, please keep the mobile device and WiFi connection in between the camera. By clicking on the video thumbnail, your playback video will download from the camera into the mobile device. 6. Video Compare In the video playback, click on the Dual Contrast button, which will switch into the dual comparison interface to show one video and it s other side in side comparison play. Figure 8. Comparison screen button 8/
After entering the dual contrast interface, the left side of the screen will be displayed before the playback video. The right side of the video interface library will allow you to choose to engage in another video contrast. After selection, the video will occupy on the right side of the screen, and both sides of the video can be played individually with single frame and other functions. Click the video in the middle of the lock button and both sides of the playback control buttons and scrollbars will be combined. Then click and drag so that both sides of the videos will broadcast simultaneously in single frames. Before the two videos contrast, both sides of the video will be in an unlocked state for individual operation (both sides of the video will begin at the start time of the swing). At this point, click on the Lock button so that both sides of the video can synchronize, therefore allowing contrast operations between two swings. Figure 9. Select a video that you wish to compare 9/
Figure. Comparison Interface After entering the video contrast interface, click on the right side of the control bar at the top of the separation Video button, where you can choose a new video. The left side will display the video that will be compared. 8. Charging The WICA camera uses a standard USB micro data line for charging (5V Voltage). You can use a computer or a USB phone charger to charge the WICA camera as well. When charging the WICA camera, a red light will indicate that the camera is powered off, while a green light will indicate a full charged camera. The WICA camera will last approximately 140 minutes. Keep in mind that certain temperatures, use over time, and other environmental factors may affect the performance of the camera. /
