2 To maintain a consistently high quality product Adstream requires all material for distribution in this region to be supplied to the following HD specifications Quicktime ProRes 422HQ 1080/50 Codec : Apple Quicktime ProRes 422 (HQ) Profile : HQ Frame Size : 1920x1080 Codec : Integer (Little Endian) PCM Sample Size : 24bit Uncompressed 8-bit YUV 1080/50 Codec : Uncompressed 8bit YCbCr Frame Size : 1920x1080 Codec : Integer (Big/Little Endian) PCM Sample Size : 16 bit / 24 bit HD File Specifications HD Video Level Requirements HD Audio Level Requirements TV Format : HDTV Title Safe : 16:9 All Video Signals Should Comply With ITU-R BT And Video Signals Should Not Exceed The Specified Limits Video Levels Should Not Exceed 700mV, Or Fall Below 0mV Max Peak -9dBFS / EBU R.128 dependant on destination Finland, Norway*, TV2 Denmark, Sport TV Iceland, ALL Nickelodeon and Eurosport HD, EBU R (please see last page for EBU R specifics.) *Norwegian broadcasters are only accepting R128 audio from June 1st. Out of gamut tolerance Whilst Adstream and the Broadcasters will reject illegal video levels they understand there may be instances where it is difficult to completely avoid, and following EBU recommendation Rec will allow a small tolerance, assuming no more that 1% of the active picture is in error. Luminance (Y) -1% and 103% (ie between -7mV and 721mV) RGB video levels -5% and 105% (ie between -35mV and 735mV) Although these stations require R128 we accept peak normalised audio, and can convert to a R128 compliant file. All other destinations Max Peak -9dBFS Maximum Peak : -9dBFS Ballistic : PPM Type II Refer to EBU R for guidance on alignment levels and permitted maximum levels This regional ingest centre runs an automated QC inspection on all incoming files. To avoid delays and to ensure efficient delivery it is recommeneded that the file header information is not malformed Revision :
