3 Gettng Started Chargng the Base and Tag Dockng the Tag Chargng Cord & Adapter Dock the Tag, wth buttons facng up, nto the Accessory Port on the front of the Base. Insert the Mn USB Chargng Cord nto a USB outlet adapter (not ncluded) and plug t nto the Base. Attach the Tag to the Base by frst nsertng from the top, as depcted n the graphc below..a to.a outlet adapter s requred. (most tablet charger adapters) Chargng Tme Fully charge the Base and Tag pror to use. Ths wll take about hours. Chargng tme vares based on USB wall adapter ratng. INFO Only the Base & Tag contan batteres and must be recharged. Connectng the Base to your Trpod Trpod Adapter Screw For the best results, we recommend mountng the Base on a Trpod wth a / mountng screw. If you already have a pan/tlt head on your trpod, please remove t pror to connectng your Base. Connectng Hand tghten the Base onto your trpod untl you feel lght resstance from the pannng motor. Avod excessve manual pannng and tltng of the Base motors by hand. Usng the Trpod Tool Use the provded Trpod Tool to fnsh tghtenng. If your trpod only has a ¼ screw, use the provded Trpod Adapter Screw. For the best experence, use a sturdy trpod. Vst soloshot.com to purchase a recommended trpod. 0

4 Preparng PreparngYour yoursoloshot SOLOSHOT Mcro SD Card Insert an approved Mcro SD Card nto the sde of the OptcX Camera. You wll hear a clck when fully nserted. Dockng the Camera Dock the OptcX Camera to the Base by gudng t down onto the tlt drum from above, and then pushng t forward untl t securely clcks nto place. Powerng On To power on Base, press and hold the Power Button for seconds. To power on Tag, press the Power Button. Your SD card wll be completely erased. Make sure to save any content that you don t want erased Vst support.soloshot.com for a lst of compatble SD cards. Update and Regstraton Preparng your SOLOSHOT Create an Account Create a SOLOSHOT account at app.soloshot.com. A SOLOSHOT account s requred before setup of your SOLOSHOT. Update Tag Regstraton Power on the Base and follow the on-screen nstructons to update your devce. After regsterng your Tags, you are prompted to select the trackng preferences of the Tag. Your SOLOSHOT must be uprght and level upon start-up and updatng software. The screen wll be blank for up to one mnute durng certan steps of the update process. It s recommend t be connected to a trpod durng ths process. Do not power down devce durng update. 0

5 Usng the Track Preparng yourapp SOLOSHOT Begn Trackng Home Screen/Track App Wthn the HOME SCREEN, tap TRACK to enter the Track App. Track Modes Select the TRACK MODE that best matches your actvty. See page, Track Mode descrptons Track Button Tap the TRACK button. If Ask to Track was selected when settng up your Tag or no Tag s detected, follow the onscreen nstructons. The Base and Camera wll spn and tlt for about one mnute as t calbrates the sensors. Tap CONTINUE to begn calbratng the system. Ths s the trackng acton sheet, whch allows you to ether begn trackng, or change trackng settngs. Select TRACK. Calbraton 0 Trackng Acton Sheet Before begnnng your actvty, we recommend that you walk back and forth n front of the Camera a few tmes n the area where you wll be performng your actvty. Ths wll allow the Camera s smart trackng system to center you n the screen.

6 Calbratng Successful Calbraton Once calbraton s successful, your Base wll automatcally begn trackng the selected Tag(s). Other successful calbraton ndcators: The Camera vewfnder appears on the screen. The LED at the front of the BASE blnks green. If every selected Tag ndcates they do not wsh to be tracked, then the Base wll be dle. Problem Detected Green Indcator LED States Calbraton may fal due to poor GPS sgnal or local magnetc nterference. In ths case, follow the on-screen nstructons. LED s hghly drectonal and changes brghtness wth dstance. If you can see t, the Base s pontng at you and you are wthn range. Please be sure to set up your Base n a locaton wth a clear vew of the sky and away from sources of magnetc nterference. Slow Blnkng Base s actvely trackng. No problems detected. See page, LOCATION SETUP Rapd blnkng or No blnk Problem detected. Return to the Base mmedately and resolve the ssue va on-screen nstructons. SOLOSHOT s desgned to track subjects outsde a 0 ft. radus. If the subject s nsde ths radus, trackng may not work properly. Tag Manager REQUIREMENTS In order for a Tag to be detected by a Base, t must be: Contnue on next page Accessng the Tag Manager The TAG MANAGER s accessble n the followng ways. Powered on Home Screen (below) Have been docked to the Base n the past Track App (See page ) Be wthn the,000-ft. trackng dstance Have a GPS sgnal 06 Selectng Tags Select the Tags you want to Track or par new Tags by dockng them to the accessory port on the front of the Base.

7 Tag Manager Tag Icon to Tag Manager Tappng the Tag Icon wll take you to the Tag Manager. Contnued from prevous page Tag Manager: Sesson Tag Manager: All Ths lst comprses of Tags that the Base s currently trackng, meets the pre-requstes to be tracked, or has been tracked n the current sesson. Ths lst shows a hstory of every Tag that has ever been docked onto the Base, even f they do not meet the pre-requstes. The lst starts out empty untl a Tag meets the pre-requstes. Tags reman n the lst untl the Base has been turned off, but wll reman n the ALL lst. Ths allows you to vew and manage your hstory of Tag, ncludng the ablty to forget Tags. The Numbers Below the Tag Icon are two numbers. The numerator (st number) shows how many Tags are currently beng tracked. The denomnator (nd number) shows how many Tags are pared, n range, and avalable to be tracked. Wearng the Tag Snappng In Snap the Tag nto the Armband Clp wth the button sde algned wth the clp wndow. Hear the Clck You wll hear a dstnct clck when Tag s n place. Check the algnment and adjust f necessary. 07 Buttons Up Always wear the Tag wth buttons facng upward.

8 Usng the Vewfnder Tag Manager Dsplays how many Tags are beng tracked. Tap to navgate to the Tag Manager. Track Start or stop trackng. Record Start or stop recordng. LIVE Start or stop lve streamng. Status Bar Dsplays W-F strength and battery level. 6 Pulldown Menu Access the home screen, W-F, camera controls, and settngs SD Card Indcator Avalable SD Card Space and record tme Pulldown Wndow SD Card Storage Space Dsplays how much recordng tme or number of photos reman. Home Exts the Track App, ends trackng/recordng and takes you back to the Home Screen. 0 W-F Opens WF settngs. Refne Allows you to manually adjust the framng of the the subject n the vewfnder. Settngs Opens the Settngs wndow, allowng you to change camera mode and trackng settngs. Usng the Tag Screen Battery Level Dsplays the remanng battery level. Trackng Status Dsplays whether the TAG would lke to be tracked. GPS Status Dsplays the status of the TAG s GPS sgnal. Record Dsplays f TAG would lke to be recorded. 0

9 Pause and Resume Trackng Good GPS Sgnal A good GPS sgnal s requred for trackng. Poor GPS Sgnal Be sure to power-on the Tag and make sure t has a clear vew of the sky before begnnng your actvty. From the Tag Double tap the resume trackng. Tag: Track Icon From the Base Tap the TRACK button to pause or resume trackng. button to pause or Trackng Paused Trackng Actve No Tags The system s smart. If there are no other Tags to track, then the Base wll automatcally stop recordng/trackng. Users can overrde ths from the Base. Start and Stop Recordng Wearng the Tag From the Tag Press and hold the record on or off. Tag: Record Icon button to toggle From the Base Tap the RECORD button to start or stop recordng. 10 Start and Stop Lve Streamng WARNING All lve streams are vewable to the publc on the SOLOSHOTapp. LIVE The LIVE Acton Sheet The lve streamng acton sheet allows you to begn lve streamng or change lve stream settngs. Tap the LIVE button. Tap GO LIVE or SETTINGS. REQUIREMENTS Connected to W-F. Internet Speed Requrements: A mnmum of Mbps upload speed Stream qualty depends on the nternet connecton speed. Base s calbrated. See page, CALIBRATING Regardless of recordng resoluton, the lve stream vdeo s compressed at 70p60. SETTINGS GO LIVE If SETTINGS s selected: Select GO LIVE. Add a Ttle and Descrpton to your stream. Ths nformaton wll appear on your stream n the SOLOSHOTapp. The Base wll attempt to connect to the SOLOSHOT network. If the Ttle s unchanged, t wll default to Lve wth #SOLOSHOT Endng a Lve Stream To stop lve streamng, tap the LIVE button, then END LIVE. Lve Stream Started whle lve stream s actve, the track app nterface shows the LIVE hghlghted n red. Lve Stream Faled Check your nternet connecton and try agan.
