1 The next level in HiFi component systems New Denon D-F109 Network Mini System offers incredible sound, nearly unlimited music sources and unique connectivity July 31 st, 2012 Denon, one of the world s leading manufacturers of high-quality home entertainment products, is upgrading their beloved D-F107 Mini HiFi System to the next level. The brand new D-F109 Network Mini System again combines high sound quality with maximum connectivity and compact size. But this time, the series even grows to three components by adding the DNP-F109 Network Audio Player. Born from Denon s award-winning AE series, this tiny yet substantial addition opens up today s network contents to the new D-F109 or even existing D-F107 systems. Embedded AirPlay functionality and the new generation Denon Remote App make it even more comfortable to control this marvelous stereo trio. The D-F109, also available as DAB version, is scheduled for September availability. The system s stereo receiver DRA-F109 (or DRA-F109DAB) comprises a newly developed digital power amplifier stage that offers unique 2 x 65 Watt of output power. This design enables users to hear the details of music on a powerful dynamic foundation. For a fully digital sound processing the receiver comes with two coaxial inputs to directly connect the DCD-F109 CD Player and the DNP-F109 Network Audio Player. No conversion of the digital signal is required as the output stages are digital too and the source signal can be kept as untouched as possible for best audio performance. It even owns an extra optical input to connect a TV or other digital gear to extend the system even further. The DNP-F109 Network Audio Player surely is a break-through development in the mini system category. People can now enjoy a wide variety of Internet Radio, online digital content (including Last.FM where available) or network music files in their listening room. The DNP also supports AirPlay to stream music directly from an ipad, iphone or ipod touch, or from the itunes music library. Thanks to the DLNA 1.5 compatibility, Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices can be accessed quickly to play the user s favourite tunes flawlessly in a quality never heard before. The analogue output even makes it possible to upgrade former F107 systems or any other setup. 1/6

2 The DCD-F109 CD player again benefits from higher class Denon components by featuring strictly selected parts to achieve a realistic musical impression. The DCD comes with a front USB port for connecting idevices or other USB memory. Once attached to the system, users can play their favourite music files (MP3/WMA) stored on these media and can even control the devices using the remote control that comes with the DRA-F109 receiver. Perfectly matching the main units, Denon offers a pair of high-quality speakers SC-F109 born from an extensive European sound-tuning. This 2-way speaker system features a 12cm woofer, 2.5cm high-definition tweeter and a sophisticated construction to reproduce the sound as natural as possible. With beautiful sound and compact design, this high-class audio system allows a comfortable setup even on a book shelf. The D-F109 will be available as a system or as separate components from September onwards in an attractive black or premium silver finish (components) in combination with black or cherry wood speakers.
