2 WHAT IS BLUE&ME? USEFUL SUGGESTIONS Blue&Me is an innovative system developed by Fiat Group Automobiles S.p.A. in conjunction with Microsoft that will change in-car entertainment and communication. For more information or for troubleshooting any problems, consult the Blue&Me Owner Handbook, visit the dedicated Blue&Me area on the website or contact customer services on the freephone number WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH BLUE&ME? Blue&Me makes an extensive range of functions available, however not all mobile phones support them fully. To consult the list of mobile phones and functions supported consult the dedicated website Blue&Me section or customer services on Here you can also find: a guide to registering your mobile phone, the files for the 10 voice recognition languages available that can be downloaded, as an alternative, onto Blue&Me (Italian, French, English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Brazilian, Turkish). Make and receive calls via Bluetooth using your mobile phone with this function. Display the names and numbers in your phonebook on the instrument panel display. Use voice commands to call one of the names or numbers in the phonebook without taking your hands off the steering wheel. Play MP3, WMA, AAC, M4A, MP4 and WAV audio files stored on a USB device (DRM-free).

3 SETTINGS: Blue&Me and your mobile phone ACTIONS ON THE Blue&Me SYSTEM Press ß MENU Select SETTINGS Select PAIRING Read the PIN code on the control panel display NOTE: For safety reasons the mobile phone pairing operation is only allowed when the car is stationary. * This pairing procedure is given purely by way of example and may vary depending on the make or model of the mobile phone with Bluetooth technology. If carried out correctly, Blue&Me will confirm the pairing, welcome you and ask if you wish to download the phonebook. This operation can only be carried out with mobile phones that support this function. ACTIONS ON MOBILE PHONES WITH Bluetooth From the main menu* on the Bluetooth phone SETTINGS CONNECTIONS BLUETOOTH Make sure that Bluetooth is on DEVICES SEARCH FOR A NEW DEVICE Select Blue&Me ENTER THE PIN Music is not downloaded to the car but can be managed with the steering wheel controls and vocally. For personalised listening, check the music playback mode from the MEDIA PLAYER menu, by scrolling to USB SETTINGS. Autoplay: the files on the USB device are played automatically when it is inserted. Shuffle: the tracks are played in a random order. Track Loop: the selected track is repeated. Or, using voice interaction: Press and say PLAY. To choose music, select MEDIA PLAYER, USB ADVANCED OPTIONS and then FOLDERS, ARTISTS, ALBUMS or GENRES or PLAYLIST ; the name of the folder, the singer, the album, the genre, the playlist and the title of the song can only be selected using the controls on the steering wheel. The first part of the selection can also be carried out through voice interaction. You cannot request the name of the singer or the song vocally. PAUSE: Press & to pause the track and press it again to resume. To stop playing the track, press and say the word STOP ; press again and say the word PLAY to resume. PREVIOUS OR NEXT TRACK: you can switch from one track to another using the buttons (steering wheel controls) or the buttons (radio). NOTE: if playback does not start, with the player inserted press, say STOP, press again and say PLAY.

4 HOW TO MANAGE AUDIO FILES FROM i P od DEVICES What you can do Listen to tracks in digital quality: AAC, M4A, MP4, MP3, WMA and WAV Select tracks (by artist, album, genre, etc.) through voice commands or by using the controls on the steering wheel Show information on the radio display about the track being played (song title, singer, etc.) on the instrument panel Recharge ipod using USB port What can I not do? Select tracks by Folder, Artist, Album, Genre and Playlist through voice commands. WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE STARTING TO USE BLUE&ME? For correct use, first of all you should configure the system as follows: Activate the mobile phone in Bluetooth mode. Pair the mobile phone with Blue&Me (this is only necessary the first time). Download the phonebook (according to the methods compatible with the telephone, see compatibility on the website at Keep the mobile phone in Bluetooth mode, so that Blue&Me will recognise it each time you get into your car. Insert your multimedia player, USB stick or ipod in the special USB port for listening to your music. To listen to the music on your ipod or iphone: Load your favourite tracks onto your device using the management software of your ipod/ iphone. These operations allow the tracks to be listened to in digital quality.

5 & ESC Ends a voice interaction. Interrupts the reading of an SMS text message (compatible telephones only). Exits from a submenu and returns to the previous menu item. Deactivates the microphone during a conversation. Pauses and resumes media player during play. VOICE INTERACTION Short press Activates voice interaction. Say HELP to get help within any menu option. Interrupts a voice announcement to make another one. Long press Repeats the last sentence said by Blue&Me. HOW TO DIAL A NUMBER USING VOICE COMMANDS Press and say CALL : Blue&Me will ask you for THE NUMBER, PLEASE : say the number, digit by digit. If one of the digits has not been received correctly, say DELETE otherwise confirm by saying YES. CALL ONE OF THE NAMES IN THE PHONEBO USING VOICE COMMANDS (if downloaded) Press and say CALL followed by the name (as written in the mobile phone). SRC/ Confirms the Blue&Me menu item. Transfers the conversation from Blue&Me to the mobile phone and vice versa. Selects audio source: radio, CD, CD Changer, MP3 player. Selects the SMS message displayed. ß MENU Short press Opens the main Blue&Me menu. Accepts an incoming call. Switches between two live calls (call waiting). Long press Refuses an incoming call. End a call in progress. Scroll the menu items. Select previous/next track. Scroll messages received and in the list. USB PORT AUX SOCKET (for versions/markets, where provided) To connect a media player, memory stick, ipod, iphone.

6 WHAT OTHER FUNCTIONS DOES Blue&Me OFFER? SMS MESSAGE READER The incoming message is read by the system speech synthesiser, including abbreviations and smileys. When a new SMS text message is received whilst driving, Blue&Me automatically notifies you according to the mode set: VIS.+ACOUST ; VIS. SIGNAL ; READER OFF. If READER OFF is selected, the message reader will be disabled to guarantee your privacy. To listen to the last message received, using manual interaction via the MESS. READER menu, scroll through the menu until READ LAST or, with voice interaction: Press and say MESSAGE READER, then READ LAST READING OF PREVIOUS/NEXT MESSAGE To skip to the next message manually, select N O or, using voice interaction: press and say PREVIOUS or NEXT. N.B.: Not all mobile phones support the transfer of SMS text messages via Bluetooth. Consult the website for the list of compatible phones. MEDIA PLAYER Insert the multimedia player, ipod or USB memory stick in the dedicated USB port to play the audio files through the car speakers. It will be possible to listen to MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV audio files that are NOT covered by digital rights. THE MAIN Blue&Me MENU You can activate the Blue&Me menu either from the steering wheel controls by pressing the ß MENU button or vocally, by pressing the hands-free button and saying the function that you want to activate out loud.
