Before connectin, operatin or adjustin this product, please read these instructions completely. Please keep this manual for future reference. These instructions are applicable to the followin systems. System SC-EN7 SC-EN6 SA-EN7 SA-EN6 Speakers SB-EN7 SC-EN7 is used in the illustrations unless otherwise mentioned. Troubleshootin uide Before requestin service, make the below checks. If you are in doubt about some of the check points, or if the remedies indicated in the chart do not solve the problem: In the U.S.A., contact the Panasonic Customer Call Center at , or the website ( or the website ( In Canada, contact the Panasonic Canada Inc. Customer Care Centre at , or visit the website ( or an authorized Servicentre closest to you. No. MP3 cannot be read (SC-EN7). Sound is unfixed, reversed or comes from one speaker only. No sound or there is a lot of noise. Hummin heard durin. The disc isn t correctly set. The disc is scratched or dirty. (Tracks skipped.) There is moisture on the lens. Wait for about an hour and then try aain. You may not be able to MP3 if you have copied a multi-session disc that has no data between sessions. When creatin a multi session disc, it is necessary to close the session. The amount of data on the disc is too small. Set the amount of data to reater than approximately 5MB. Check the speaker connections. ( pae 2) Noise may occur when in MP3 if recordin quality is poor (SC-EN7). Keep this unit away from mobile telephones. Turn the volume up. Switch off the unit, determine and correct the cause, then switch the unit on. Causes include shortin of the positive and neative speaker wires, strainin of the speakers throuh excessive volume or power, and usin the unit in a hot environment. An AC power supply cord or fluorescent liht is near the cables. Keep other appliances and cords away from this unit s cables. A beat sound is heard while receivin a radio broadcast. A low hum or noise is heard durin AM broadcasts. The picture on the television near the set disappears or stripes appear on the screen. doesn t work. Dis : PGM FULL NOT MP3 ERROR F76 Turn the TV off or separate it from the unit. Keep the antenna away from other cables and cords. Keep the AM antenna away from the unit. The location and orientation of the antenna are incorrect. The TV antenna wire is too close to the unit. Separate the antenna wire of the TV set from the unit. Check that the battery is inserted correctly. ( pae 2) Replace the battery if it is worn. You plued the AC adaptor in for the first time or there was a power failure recently. Set the time. ( pae 5) The total prorammed time is more than 2 minutes. Tracks can still be prorammed and ed. The number of prorammed tracks is limited to 24. No further tracks can be prorammed. A non--da or non-mp3 -ROM disc is inserted. Cannot be ed. Incorrect operation performed. Read the instructions and try aain. There is a power supply problem. Consult the dealer. Do not use with other equipment. Placements Place this unit in an area with more than 3 mm (11 13 / 16 ) of vertical space. The lid may become damaed if it cannot open completely. Connections The remote control Batteries Use Placement of speakers You can remove the speaker cover nettin. Left and riht speakers are exactly the same. Keep your speakers at least 1 mm (13/32") away from the system for proper ventilation. These speakers do not have manetic shieldin. Do not place them near televisions, personal computers or other devices easily influenced by manetism. To avoid damae to the speakers, do not touch the speaker cones if you have taken the nets off (R6, AA, UM-3) Insert so the poles (+ and ) match those in the remote control. Do not use rechareable type batteries. sinal sensor Aim at the sensor, avoidin obstacles, at a maximum rane of 7 m directly in front of the unit. Operation can be affected by stron liht sources, such as direct sunliht, and the lass doors on cabinets. Caution Use the speakers only with the recommended system. Do not attach these speakers to walls or ceilins. 1 Speakers Before connectin, twist and pull off the vinyl tip of the speaker cords. 4 Radio operations Radio stations can be turned manually by selectin the station s frequency or they can be preset into channels to make it easy to tune. You can preset up to 2 FM channels and up to 12 AM channels. TUNING MODE Function indicator The color chanes when usin the radio. Perform both FM and AM station presettin once. - -AUTO PRESET - -AUTO PRESET Press and hold until AUTO appears Durin automatic presettin, the memory indicator ( PGM ) flashes and the frequency scrolls. The memory indicator and channel numbers are dised for a second when a station is preset. The first station to be preset is dised when presettin finishes. FM Press and hold until the frequency starts chanin rapidly Auto tunin stops when it finds a station. To cancel auto tunin press the same button aain. To improve reception Auto tunin may not function when there is excessive interference. 5 Timer and others DISPLAY Play timer This timer starts of the selected source at the selected time. Preparation: Set the clock (see left). 1 Perform timer settins Set the start time Within 1 seconds =1 ON TIME ON TIME the start time Press and hold to chane the time faster. Settin the time This is a 12-hour clock. CLOCK CLOCK Within 1 seconds the time Press and hold to chane the time faster. Keep the number of sessions to a minimum to avoid this. This unit cannot files recorded usin packet write. If the disc includes both MP3 and normal audio data (-DA), the unit s the type recorded in the inner part of the disc. If the disc includes both MP3 and other types of audio data (e.. WMA or WAV), the unit s only the MP3. Dependin on how you create MP3 files, they may not in the order you numbered them or may not at all.
