1 Diplomat Digital Conference System UNIQUE PROFESSIONAL MULTICHANNEL CONFERENCE & INTERPRETATION SYSTEM Information The Diplomat fully digital conference & interpretation system utilises a unique state of the art digital microphone. This fact does not only guarantee immunity from mobile telephones, but also allows remote control of equalization & gain for each individual unit thus customizing the unit to the voice of the user. This advanced system, designed & built in the United Kingdom, provides conference & simultaneous interpretation functionality with 64 high quality channels. It utilises data encryption & looped through zoned CAT 5 cabling topology with redundancy, thus providing highly secure & reliable operation. The Diplomat offers several versions of delegate units, from basic push to talk or thereon building up to include graphic LCD display, channel selector, 5 button voting, smart card & fingerprint biometric identification. Any delegate unit may be used as a chairman s unit. 2 Central Control Unit The central controller may be free standing or rack mounting. It can control up to 4000 units & may have internal or external power supply for up to 40/80/120 units. The unit supports 6 zone RJ45 connectors (3 loops & redundancy), and has a backlight graphic LCD 202mm x 32mm & buttons menu system which provides system configuration and monitoring with a system status alert LED. It has two balanced auxiliary outputs & two balanced auxiliary inputs XLR s. 3 AOU8 Analogue Outputs Unit The Diplomat Analogue Output Unit is an 8 channel audio distribution system can be wired and linked into the digital loop complete with several interpreters and participant s microphone units. Using the AOU8 in the system, any 8 channels from the 64 can be selected and switched to the analogue outs, to output the audio signals separately to other external audio systems. Fast user friendly assignment of the channels can be made using the rotary encoders and push buttons, results can be checked on the LCD display. All selected and non-selected channels can be monitored by using headphones and levels for the outputs and headphones can be adjusted by the rotary knobs on the front plate. Installing the AOU8 in the redundant zones loop system provides a high level of safety not only for the audio channels but also for the data transmission. 4 Dual Interpreter Unit DAIU/P/F The Interpreter Unit is a (portable P or flush F) Dual digital interpreter unit complying with IEC914 and related international standards for interpretation equipment & it can be wired and linked into the digital loop with the Central Controller. It may be supplied with pluggable digital microphones together with corresponding headphones or it may be supplied with headphones with built in boom microphone. 5 Delegate Unit (configurable as chairman unit) The Delegate Microphone Unit incorporates a digital pluggable microphone with internal equalisation parameter storage. As a component of the conference system it is wired and linked into the system s digital loop completed with the Central Controller and with numerous interpreters microphone units. The high quality audio transmission of the system is based on 48kHz sampling rate and 24 bit resolution. The system includes 64 digital channels (as 63 + floor) which can be shared with intercom channels with 8 khz sampling rate and 8 resolution, helping the intercommunication of the participants during the meeting. Because of the redundant zones system that can be employed this has a high level of safety not only for the audio channels but also for data transmission.
