Installing the battery pack: 1: Open the back cover (refer to picture 1). 2: Insert the battery pack with the right direction(refer to picture 2). 3: Close the battery cover(refer to picture 3). Installing the SD card 1: Open the SD card slot cover. 2: Insert SD card with the mark facing toward the SD slot as illustrated(refer to picture 1). C. Installing the camera 1: Insert the camera into recorder (refer to picture 2). D. Unpluging the camera. 1: Switch the camera cable lock to left, and then unplug the camera (refer to picture 3). 7 REC REC Basic Operations A: Start/Stop Recording Press [ button ] (hold on for 2 sec) to switch on recorder. Press [ button ] to record. Press again [ button ] to stop recording and return to preview mode. B: Digital Zoom In the preview/record mode, digital zoom function can be available (as in the picture) x 1080: no digital zoom 1440 x 1080: 4x digital zoom 1280 x 720: 16x digital zoom 848 x 480: 16x digital zoom Remarks: When HDMI/AV out cable is connected to a screen, digital zoom function is not available C: EV Adjustment EV can be adjusted in record/preview mode (as in the picture). EV adjustment range:-1.7~+1.7 D: Record with a wired control 1: Connect wired remote controller and Device via DIGITAL port (refer to picture 1). 2: Press [ REC ] button on the wired control (hold for 2 seconds) to power DVR on. 3: Press[ REC ] start recording, indication light of recording bright (red),recording(refer to picture 2). 3: In the process of recording, press[ REC ] on wired remote controller to stop recording, till indication light off, recording stop(refer to picture 3). picture 1 picture 2 picture 3 4

8 Basic Operations E: Using the Enhanced Wired Control(optional) support auto recording and stop recording 1: DC input: DC 10V~42V 2: Connect Enhanced Wired Control to the DVR via USB port (refer to picture 1). 3: Connect Enhanced Wired Control and DC 10V~42V power cord(refer to picture 2). picture 1 REC picture 2 REC This moment, once device detect DC 10V~42V power supply, device will start recording automatically. In the process of recording, if device detects no power supply, device will stop recording automatically (can set delay time stop recording in the system) Note: 1: The function of Enhanced Wired Control and delay time stop recording is only realize on the basis of installing battery in device and the battery with enough power. 2: In stand by or recording mode, user can turn on LCD to preview 3: In stand by or recording mode, user can connect device to other monitor to preview 4: In recording mode, user can connect external MIC to device to enhance the audio effect, sound from internal MIC and external MIC of device are mix recorded. 9 Basic Operations How To Playback How to playback Only in standby mode the videos could be play backed Press [ into ] playback list. Press once again to shift the videos and photos (refer to picture 1). picture 1 Press Arrow keys to choose the file need to be played. Press [ ] to start playing. During the playing back Press Up and Down key to adjust volume. Press left and right keys to fast forward or rewind. To Delete a File Choose the file you want to delete. Press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds, and then confirm to delete the selected file. To Protect a File Choose the file you want to protect. Press and hold the menu button, and then confirm to protect the selected file. 6

12 Applications Motor sports With the HD-VC93, it s possible to capture powerful visuals in which the ground comes toward you just as though you re riding a motorcycle or driving a racing car! The HD-VC93 mini camera promote your choice of where to mount it on a car body. Sports shooting Normally if you want to recording while taking part in extreme sport such as mountain hiking, snow skiing, sky skating, it is hard to check the most vivid images you re recording. But now with the HD-VC93, even if you can attach the camera to your helmet, and you can easily check the angles of view with the DVR. You can also use our wired control to record and stop. You can paste this wired control anywhere you want. Please put the control unit into your backpack, on your belt or fix on most of the handle bars and get going. As a Car DVR Normal DVRs are quite big, while the camera of HD-VC93 is quite small and easy to hide. It can be easily installed on the windshield. 14 System Setup White Balance Choose different white balance value under different conditions. Default is AUTO. AUTO Sunny WHITE BALANCE Cloudy Record Mode Default Setting is PAL Fluorescent Incandescent AE Meter Mode You can select from Average / Spot / Center mode to get the right exposure. PAL NTSC 25 fps 50 fps 30 fps 60 fps Split Mode System will save files every set time. Please note: if the SD card is full system will stop recording. Default Setting 2min 5min 15min 30min System will save file only when stop recording System will save files every 2minutes System will save files every 5minutes System will save files every 15minutes System will save files every 30minutes Record Overwrite When Record Setup is active, there will be C on [ the ] screen. Recorder will save a new file every 1, 2, 3, 5, 15, 30 minute; When the SD card is nearly full, system will delete the oldest file and replace it with new file. Recommend to use this option together with the power adaptor. 11

15 System Setup Car Mode You can choose ON and OFF. If ON, when you connect this device to car power via a car adaptor, it will power on the device and start recording. After you turn off your engine, the device will power off in 30 seconds. If set to [OFF], the device will only being charged. Tips: you may need a specified cable to support auto power on and recording. Stop Recording Delay System will stop recording after 10second/30second/1minute [ ]. It is trigger when you turn off the car. (With the optional enhanced wired control) Motion Detection When motion detection is active, there will be M on [ the ] screen. If any motion is detected, system will start recording in 2 seconds. Recommend to use this option together with the power adaptor. OFF 30 SEC. 1 MIN. 3 MIN. 5 MIN. No Motion Detection Stop recording after 30sec, if no motion Stop recording after 1min, if no motion Stop recording after 3min, if no motion Stop recording after 5min, if no motion External Microphone Volume Set the external microphone volume from 1 to 7; Default is 7. When the external microphone is plugged in, audio from external microphone and internal microphone will be recorded together. Internal Microphone Volume Set the volume of internal microphone from 1 to 7. Default is 7. When the external microphone is plugged in, audio from external microphone and internal microphone will be recorded together. 12

16 System Setup Beep Sound Choose [ ON/OFF ] [ to ] turn on/off the beep sound Time Stamp If you choose the time stamp, then there will be a stamp showing the time on the video clip. TV Type (PAL/NTSC) To choose PAL/NTSC based on different countries. LCD Auto Turn OFF The LCD will enter into power-save mode after the set time OFF 30sec 1min 5min LCD will never turn OFF LCD will turn OFF in 30sec LCD will turn OFF in 1min LCD will turn OFF in 5min Stamp Speed OFF When the real speed is beyond what you set in the menu, the GPS coordinator stamp will hide in the video. The default is 120KPH. you can change it with 5KPH interval. GPS switch This is to turn ON/OFF the GPS. It will affect the GPS icon on the screen. If your device doesn't have GPS, please put this option to OFF. 13

17 System Setup Time Zone If you buy this device with GPS, it will sync the satellite time automatically. But the satellite time is GMT time. So you need to set your time zone to get the correct time in your country. Format SD Card To format the entire SD card Please note: any files will be deleted included the locked files.
