9 JBIG Progress Report July 16, 2003 Rapporter, SG on JBIG Fumitaka ONO JBIG meeting JBIG had its meeting on July 15 and 16, 2003 in Tokyo. There attended four people from Japan, and two people from USA via telephone conference, through the whole period. Project 1) JBIG1 (ISO/IEC 11544): No progress since the publishing of CORR2 on Dec ) JBIG2 (ISO/IEC 14492): AMD1 (Encoder) : FDAM1 text was produced in this meeting. It is expected that FDAM1 ballot will be closed before next meeting. AMD2 (Extension of adaptive templates for halftone coding) FDAM2 ballot was closed before July meeting with no negative voting. AMD text was created in this meeting with minor editorial corrections. AMD3 (Verification test procedure for JBIG2 encoder/decoder) It is currently at WD level. It is difficult to continue this project because of the lack of resources in the participating organizations. Future meeting JBIG will meet on the December 9 and 10, WG1 meeting is scheduled on the week in Hawaii. Since the Chairman of JBIG has some difficulty to go abroad on the week, it is expected to hold telephone conference between Hawaii and Tokyo.
